Lovely location with a brilliant view, we were treated to a lovely sunset over the sea. Great facilities, lovely toilets and showers. Campfires available and tables. Loved getting to know the goats too. Would recommend 😄

Lovely secluded spot with a rambling view down towards the sea. The grass plots are well maintained the small overall size of the site makes it a quiet and more intimate space to connect with the surroundings. We arrived in time to catch a couple of woodfired pizzas which were a perfect accompaniment to an open fire whilst watching the sunset. Marilyn and her husband were friendly, fun and sociable hosts to chat with. We were two bikers with small tents but this is on my list for a future return with a small camper van with the Mrs. She'll love it here.

I had a fantastic experience tent camping at Coastal Stay, even during Storm Bert. Marilyn and Nick were incredibly attentive and supportive, ensuring I felt safe and cared for throughout. Despite the heavy rain, the campsite’s drainage was excellent, and I didn’t experience any flooding or waterlogged areas .
The coastal views were stunning, providing a peaceful and picturesque backdrop. While the site itself was quiet and relaxing; perfect for unwinding. The bathroom facilities were immaculate—easily among the best I’ve experienced at any campsite.
Marilyn and Nick’s hospitality, combined with the beautiful location and well-kept facilities, made my stay unforgettable. Highly recommend Coastal Stay for a peaceful and idyllic camping experience

We had a great time, nice quiet campsite with lots of space for each pitch. Great views down the hill and a great hub to explore Pembrokeshire and the coasting path. The facilities are everything you need and hosts were on hand for anything we needed (electrical adapter for the hookup etc…) The pizzas that are made on site in a proper pizza oven were genuinely fantastic.

Travelled with a group of 5 motorhomes. Some booked direct,I booked thro Hipcamp. There was general confusion with every booking upon arrival. Otherwise stay was very good. 👍

Beautiful pitch next to a large pond & sea views. Enjoyed watching the bats at night. Sheltered from the wind too. Lovely rustic toilet & showers etc, well maintained. Great location & nearby footpaths to get to coast.
Didn't use firepit but great to have the option. Would definitely return!

The view is spectacular! Pitches are big and it is very quiet. Everything is very clean and well maintained. Loads of hike-opportunities in the neighbourhood.

Nestled in the tranquility of the South Wales, coast, Marilyn's campsite proved to be a haven during my stay this past November. Remarkably flat and miraculously mud-free, these grass pitches offered a perfect foundation for setting up my large tent without the usual hassle associated with uneven terrain.
One of the standout features of Marilyn's campsite is the thoughtful provision of easy car access to the pitches. This is a godsend for campers with larger tents and camping gear.
What truly sets Marilyn's campsite apart, however, is the awe-inspiring backdrop of the sea. The views are nothing short of breathtaking.
Beyond the picturesque scenery, Marilyn's personal touch adds a warmth and care to the camping experience. Her regular check-ins during my stay showcased a genuine concern for the well-being of her guests. Knowing that she was just a message away, ready to assist with any needs, enhanced the overall sense of security and comfort.
I also find myself particularly indebted to Marilyn for her exceptional kindness in accommodating my camping request during a period when the campsite was technically closed. Rather than opting for the easy route of canceling my booking, Marilyn went out of her way to ensure my stay was not disrupted. This speaks volumes about her character and dedication to customer satisfaction. It's rare to encounter such genuine hospitality, and Marilyn's commitment to going the extra mile left an indelible impression.

An awesome campsite!!
Such friendly hosts, gorgeous views and a beautiful site in itself. The three goats who live on site provide plenty of entertainment whilst you sip on wine, watch the sun set and light up the campfire. 100% recommended!

The location was wonderful, pitches are spacious, the toilets and shower rooms were always clean. It's a 20 minute walk from the local seaside village where there is a pub and restaurant, I swam in the Blue Lagoon (bit chilly, not for the fait hearted) . Ensure guide ropes are in well as can get a little windy. Will be visiting again without a doubt.

The location was gorgeous, we could see the sea, only a 20 minute walk from the local seaside village with a cute little pub, we also walked to Blue Lagoon.
The small lake is lovely, the site is small but perfect, we visited in February, it was very blustery weather, we had the place to ourselves! The bathroom was lovely and warm!
Can't wait to go back in the warmer weather :)

We stayed here for three nights in some truly awful weather, the indoor shower room and loo were a real bonus. When the sun came out we saw that the views were gorgeous. Nicely situated and spacious pitched. We’ll definitely come again.

We had a late season visit and had the whole site to ourselves! Despite this the owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome! Cant beat the views of the coastline from the campsite or the surrounding countryside! Brilliant facilities on the campsite itself and were given plenty of information on local walks and places to eat! The coastal walk is must as well as the fish and chips at The Shed! We didnt visit St David's on this visit but it's one of my fave places to go, the beach and views are amazing! Would definitely stay here again!

Just returned from a glorious 4 day stay at Coastal Camping. Nic and Marilyn made us so welcome... and we had the place to ourselves for 2 nights! Renovation work was going on but that didn’t interfere with us at all. Even when just one/two pitches taken everything was immaculate with piping hot water for much needed showers after stunning walks along the coastal path. Great location, 25 minute walk to wonderful Porthgain with fabulous Sloop pub and The Shed fish bistro. We’d highly recommend this site for peace and quiet out of season. It’d be fun to see it buzzing with pizzas available during school holidays. We will definitely come back.

Great pizza and service at the pizza hut. Great views from pitch #20 however the has pitches either side and behind and during my stay there was a large group behind who had music on until midnight. The pitch has limited flat space so if you have a large tent or an awning on a campervan it may not be sufficient.
Unfortunately the campsite doesn't have a booking amendment policy on their website or on the booking confirmation they sent to me after I booked direct with them. As a result they appear to make this up and as a result I was made to pay for a night I didn't stay, despite telling them over a week in advance (noting there is no policy to say that this is necessary, I was trying to be helpful in letting them know in advance) that I wanted to amend my booking from 3 nights to 2. I was only required to pay a 1 night deposit, so feel being made to pay on arrival 3 nights despite having told them in advance I wasn't staying for 3 seems to go against the nature of a deposit. I emailed after leaving to see if they managed to sell my 3rd nights pitch to a new enquiry that day (which they advised does happen) and received no acknowledgment or response. I tried contacting them again and still got no response. So disappointing after what could have been a good stay, but to be ignored is poor service. I also checked Cool Camping policy, which they told me is 14 nights and again this isn't the case, just a made up policy.

Lovely small campsite with excellent facilities. Fantastic location for local walks and beaches. The pitches all seemed well spaced out and it was lovely that they each had a wooden storage table and fire pit. It felt quiet and peaceful on a sunny Saturday in July which is hard to come by!

We could not have been happier with this site. It’s small enough to get to know your neighbours but big enough for privacy, the facilities were immaculate and the care and attention shown to us, and especially our very shy little girl was invaluable. The pizza was a total godsend and delicious too. Lovely walks from the site and a shop not too far away...basically it was fantastic! Thanks Nick and Marilyn, have a great summer xx

A lovely 2 night stay in this intimate campsite, we'll be back! Great pitches, good views, clean facilities and just the perfect location - 1 mile outside of Porthgain and about the same distance or slightly less to the Pembrokeshire coastal path. Highly recommended. We particularly liked the relaxed atmosphere, the lovely warm showers and the view from our pitch. With our thanks.

Lovely campsite, atmosphere is so calm and peaceful. The pitches are big and spaced well apart making it quiet even when others might not be. The view is just gorgeous! There is three bathrooms. 1 which is 4 little toilet/showers for men, always clean and well stocked, then a slightly more indoor version for women which never ran out of toilet roll (thank god) and the water was super warm all the time. There is also a full bathroom inside the owners house for communal use, but the other bathrooms were so nice we didn't use this, probably would be good for parents with small children. The owners were super welcoming and friendly. Pizza was a really great touch as is having goats and ponies on site. There is huge tables on wheels and a fire pit for each pitch which is also a really nice touch. Overall very lovely owners very peaceful place and contains all the modern comforts you require when camping. We will be going back.

Disappointing, although adverts show flat pitches we were shown a site at the top of a steep slope, although in the info it states one car per pitch this apparently means in the car park. We asked for some respect for our age (80 plus) but were not offered a better pitch nearer facilities so had to leave after one night, having booked and paid for 4 nights with electricity.

A real hidden gem on the road between St Davids and Fishguard. Whether camping or glamping, the sea views are fantastic. There's pitches beside the pond but for our money the more secluded 'forest' plots are the best.
Marilyn was the perfect host and the other campers we encountered were all a friendly bunch. The bathrooms have lots of cool quirky beach ephemera like painted driftwood and surfboards, and the modern shower is excellent. Best of all are the wood-fired pizzas served from the cool surf shack. We'll be returning for these! Excellently located – it's just far enough away from tourist hubub of St Davids to ensure peace and quiet but also near enough to Pembrokeshire's best beaches and seaside spots like Abereiddy and Porthgain.

My boyfriend and I have just got home from the most amazing week of camping at Coastal Stay. The campsite is immaculate and the facilities are just what you need. The toilets and showers (no longer unisex it seems from the reviews below) were clean and spacious, and there’s the option of a ‘posh’ bathroom too which is effectively a normal household bathroom with shower etc. The site is so homely and there’s ample space between pitches and in each pitch. We had plenty of room plus there was a picnic bench and a wooden table there too! Marilyn and Nic are such wonderful hosts and people. They have made a wonderful site and their humour and friendliness was the icing on the cake. We can’t recommend this place enough and are already looking at dates for next year. Beautiful location and so nice to be off the normal tourist path but it was so easy to get to St David’s or Porthgain either by car or you can walk to Porthgain (about 25 minutes). Thank you so much for having us, we can’t wait to come back!

Had a really good stay over three nights at Coastal Stay Camping. The campsite itself was really good - quite small and with plenty of space between pitches. The owners were both really friendly and helpful. Facilities were all pretty new and in great condition. It's also in a good location for getting to the Pembrokeshire Coastal path for walking and it's only a couple of miles to Porthgain. Would say the info needs updating slightly as definitely no onsite cafe unless that's only open during July-August. All round great stay!

I don't understand the negative reviews I've read about this site. We booked deviating from our normal Pembrokeshire camping sites as we needed one with glamping to go on a family trip - we had booked 2 pitches for myself/boyfriend, dogs and brother/fiancée and my parents were glamping in a bell tent. Marilyn and Nick were super friendly and run a really homely, cosy, quirky campsite. The loos are unisex and small but were always clean and hot showers. Despite the campsite being full, we never had to queue. The views were absolutely incredible and we had two pitches overlooking the sea which was fabulous. Yes, it's not RIGHT on the coastal path but if you're coming to Pembrokeshire to enjoy walking the coastal path, I'm sure you won't mind the 20 min walk down the road to Abereiddy to begin your adventure (or alternatively drive and park closer to the sea)!
Pitches aren't huge but were generous (we had plenty of space to pitch our 6man tent with canopy (this adds 3m to the front of the tent) and even though the campsite was quite busy, we still felt like we had our own private space, made all the better by hammocks dotted about in the trees and large wooden bench tables for campers to use. Overall, this was a great camping experience for us and I really enjoyed our trip away - we'll be returning and adding it to our favourite campsites list! Firepit on each pitch for a campfire was the icing on the cake. We had a great family holiday and even the newbie campers enjoyed!
P.S. Bring hard ground pegs! We did manage to get our dog tether/stake in but with some difficulty (tethering them to the heavy bench was a great alternative).

The name coastal stay made us think this site was on the coast! This isn't the case it's not even on the coastal path you have to walk down a road to get there & the beach was another very long walk along the road. We also felt the site was very crowded with pitches very close to each other.
