Great secluded spot for camping with friends! Full hookups were great to have at this site. Our dogs loved the property as much as we did. Trail around the property was great for a short hike.

Site 2 - The Cove at Dick Branch
Nice quiet location with 3 FHU sites. Nice views during October color. Hiking trail on property and close to several parks for more hiking. Pick up your groceries at Ingles in Town before heading up. 4 Wheel drive a must. Low 4WD better. We got our 33.5 foot rig up to the site with little trouble. Graham is very responsive and helpful.

Site 3 - The Cove at Dick Branch
We had a great time camping with friends and especially liked how secluded it was. Hiking along the snowbird to waterfalls was a real treat. Our campers fit just fine and spots were nice, but I wouldn't want to bring anything too big up there. The water tasted great and the dogs loved being off leash.

Site 1 - The Cove at Dick Branch
We really enjoyed our quiet weekend at the Cove at Dick Branch. With only 4 sites, it is far from the crammed parking-lot experience of many mountain-view RV campgrounds. You are surrounded by nature, but have full RV hook-ups (30 amp). It was a huge plus for us that our dog did not have to be constantly on-leash. He had a wonderful time chasing frisbees and balls up and down the hillside. Potential campers should be aware that Site 1 and 2 are in close proximity, but would be perfect for friends camping together. Also take the description of the access road at its word. It is gravel and steep getting in and out of the property. We had a 21ft travel trailer and could negotiate without any problem. If you are wanting a home base for day hiking in the Nantahala National Forest, it is an excellent choice. I would definitely camp here again.

Site 1 - The Cove at Dick Branch
We enjoyed this location a lot. It was very quiet, beautiful, and private. The hosts were very friendly and gave us lots of good information about the area. We did some local hikes and also took a drive to Fontana Lake which was fun. We stayed at Site #1, and really enjoyed the deck, it is a nice feature. We have a 23ft travel trailer and we did find it a little tricky leaving the site, because it is a tight turn. We are new to RV'ing, so maybe a more experienced camper would have negotiated the turn with ease. As far as improvements to suggest, the only idea we came up with is to offer wifi connection.

Site 4 - The Cove at Dick Branch
Great spot, tucked in the woods. Definitely a steep, narrow and winding gravel road to get there, but absolutely worth it. It was doable with our 35f fifth wheel. Want to come back in the summer when everything is blooming.

Site 1 - The Cove at Dick Branch
Scott's property is beautiful - isolated, wooded, with a beautiful view from the campsites on the hill. The full hook-up, pull through site was perfect for me and my RV (newbie to trailer pulling and not great at backing up yet) and we were thrilled to have the entire place to ourselves for our 3 night stay. Our dog, Ripley, also enjoyed being able to run off leash through the woods and across the property - it was a joyful stay for us all.

Scott was so kind and flexible. We did not end up staying at his site (our loss!) but appreciated how communicative and understanding he was. I'd recommend just based on that.

It was beautiful and very quiet. Host was very nice and extremely helpful. No cell service but we don’t mind that at all, in fact we loved that part.

Site 3 - The Cove at Dick Branch
We loved the beauty and the smallness of this place. It was very quiet and peaceful. It was fantastic to be able to unplug. There is no cell service there but we didn’t mind that a bit. Our host was nice and very helpful in getting out large camper in the site. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended our visit another night and Scott was very happy to let us stay an extra night.

We truly enjoyed our stay. Scott and Beth were awesome hosts. The campground was clean, quiet, peaceful. The fall colors during the day and the stars at night! Couldn't ask for a better combination. Sites 1,2 and 3 had full hookups! The property was truly beautiful. It is a gem that I am surprised more haven't taken advantage of. Yes we would and are going to return!

We loved our stay, beautiful scenery, awesome hosts. Scott and Beth went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. We've been to quite a few hipcamps and this one rates right up there with the best. Yes we would recommend, and yes we will return! Hidden gem with full hookups. Can't beat that! Did I mention that it is so peaceful and quiet. Being from an urban environment we truly appreciated that.

The Cove at Dick Branch
We were the only campers and it was very nice, great view over their property. Scott is doing a nice job of setting up each site with electricity, good water, and soon waste at each site. My only concern is Site 1 and 2 share the same gravel area and I would not like to be parked so close to a stranger - if you are traveling with another rv friend, it could be a very nice situation.

Scott has a beautiful property with convenient camp sites and he and his wife were extremely helpful and friendly during our stay - would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to check out the Smokies and to any first-time camper van / RV users.

The Cove at Dick Branch
Scott is developing a hidden gem in the rugged mountains of WNC. Close enough to town, Cherahala Sky, Santeetlah Lake and Tail Of The Dragon. Scott and Beth were EXCELLENT hosts. Very accommodating and helped us work the water pump to our weekender. We'll definitely be back. 💯
