Great place to stay up in the hills. Very quiet with great views. Plenty of star gazing when clouds allow. Fire set up very good (subject to fire bans). Very easy to find if you follow host’s instructions. Comfortable sleeping arrangements. Easy cooking on four hob gas stove. Electricity and WiFi great. Great host comms.

Nos Astra - Container Cabin
We've spent a wonderful long weekend at Nos Astra with my wife and our 4 year old. Our son loved the trampoline, the small bush walks on the property and roasting marshmallows at the bonfire. I tracked down to Cox River crossing, following some paths leading out from the back of the property and through the woods. We spent the nights laying in the trampoline and gazing at the stars. The property offered great views, was nice and quite and we even encountered some kangaroos and huge monitor goanas on our walks.

Awesome little cabin among the trees. So peaceful and relaxing. A perfect spot for a quiet getaway with lots of bush to explore. We and our dog loved it!

Very pleasant, comfortable cabin. Nice and warm inside. Clean ammenities, great to have a hot shower after a hike. Had everything you would need. Loved the coffee machine 😋

We absolutely loved our stay! The place is nestled beautifully in the woods with stunning mountain views — so peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. The accommodation was exactly as described on the website, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a perfect getaway. The host (John) was just fabulous — incredibly kind, helpful, and super quick to respond to any queries. You can truly tell they care about their guests! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a serene escape in nature.

We absolutely enjoyed our night at Nos Astra. There was plenty of information about the place, how to get there, what to bring, what to be cautioned about etc. Also the place had everything we needed with both indoor and outdoor fireplaces. The mountain view from the place was amazing and sunrise was a cherry on top! Highly recommend :)

This place is absolutely incredible. The views and cabin are beautiful and it’s everything you need for an amazing getaway. John is an excellent host giving thorough instructions for everything before you arrive which is super helpful. Our reactive dog loved the privacy. Can’t wait to book our next stay!

We loved staying at Nos Astra, the views were incredible and the cabin had everything we needed. Our dogs had the time of their lives and the kids loved the suspension bridge at the Cox’s river which was amazing after all that rain before our stay! Can’t wait to come back!

Even better than described! Our stay was absolutely incredible and we will definitely be back. The cabin was fantastic and has all the things you need! Loved the property and surrounds, walked down to cox river campground and also went to the suspension bridge! Great place for a quiet week/weekend trip away!

Our stay at Nos Astra was amazing from start to finish. The communication and information provided prior to our stay was exceptional. Check-in and check-out details were thorough and easy to follow. Our two furbabies had the time of their lives and their noses didn't stop sniffing with so much space to explore. The container cabin had everything you could need and more for a very comfortable stay. BYO items were clearly stipulated before the commencement of our stay. The firepit was fabulous and a great place to take in the stunning views by day and stars by night. An Astrophotography dream! The indoor fireplace kept us toasty warm at night and there were a lot of indoor entertainment options provided. Very clean, tidy and well maintained with a modern and stylish interior. The composting toilet was very clean and had absolutely no smell at all. The property provided complete privacy aside from the wildlife and the odd friendly cow off in the distance. We loved every minute of our stay and will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your property with us!

Tucked away on a picturesque mountainside, this off-grid cabin was the perfect escape. The cosy interior made us feel instantly at home, with warm touches and thoughtful design throughout. Waking up to expansive views of the valley below was truly breathtaking. Despite being off-grid, the cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Peaceful, private, and beautifully remote — a perfect retreat to disconnect and recharge.

I loved the amazing view for anyone looking to go to this amazing place it has cooking appliances like rice cooker coffee machine BBQ also has camping chairs comfy bed I will be going again next year for sure

What an absolutely beautiful spot. The cabin was beautifully presented with everything you could need for a few nights away. The fire kept the place warm and cosy and I loved the big windows and beautiful views into the valley.
There was a very good and functional kitchen with a great selection of pots, pans and crockery and an easy space to work in. The bathroom was lovely and clean with a nice hot shower. Everything in the cabin design had been well thought out in great detail and I was very impressed.
We both had an amazing weekend away and enjoyed beautiful meals in front of the fire and spent time during the day out trail running along the Six Foot Track. Our two dogs loved their stay too with plenty of space to run around. Loved hearing all the birds and seeing lots of wildlife too. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us, we loved it and can’t wait to come back again soon.

I had spent 7 days swag camping in the cold before arriving here. It was the perfect place to reset and connect with nature.
The host was top teir, the cabin itself was amazing had everything I needed and more.
Highly recommend, such a peaceful secluded location.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at this tiny container home tucked away in the mountains. Despite the overcast weather, the charm of the place more than made up for it. The home was thoughtfully designed, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway.
The peaceful surroundings and fresh mountain air made for a truly relaxing escape. Even with the clouds overhead, we enjoyed every moment—from sipping coffee while taking in the misty views to unwinding in the quiet serenity of nature. It’s the perfect retreat for anyone looking to disconnect and recharge.
Highly recommend this little gem—we’d love to come back, hopefully with clearer skies next time!

Nos Astra - Container Cabin
We loved Nos Astra, and had a wonderful time. The property is lovely and exactly as described. The views are incredible and there is plenty of space to explore.
We ended up staying when it was very rainy, but the house had everything we needed (we managed to get a fire going, roasted marshmallows and watched movies on the projector).
The kids also loved exploring - rain and all.
The shower hot water was incredible (I wasn’t sure how much hot water would be available but was totally fine - which was helpful in the rain!) and surprisingly there was ZERO smell from the toilet (again, we thought there’d be a slight smell but there wasn’t at all).
If you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, and a great place to go exploring close to Sydney - I’d highly recommend!
