Hawkesbury Hideaway was a very peaceful place to stay the night. Even though there were a few other campers there it was very pleasant by the river and everyone was very respectful of all the other campers. I will definitely be back.

Great flat riverside camp.
We set up our motorhome in the eastern corner which provided a great view of the river.
Highly recommended if you want to sit back and relax.
Sure we’ll be back.

We had one night here with extended check out (so two full days) and luckily had the place to ourselves. I accidentally booked a powered site but think we ended up on site #3? (unpowered). It was next to boat ramp and we swam and hung out in shade. The toilet and shower were clean (took a while to find it near trampoline close to the house). Toni was great to deal with online and John gave us a friendly welcome.

It was my first experience in the tent camping and it was amazing as the view, place was great to visit. Me and my husband really enjoyed the nature. I would love to come again.

We had a great stay! Toni was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The property was beautiful, great location right next to the river. Lots of space, clean and we were able to hire a fire pit for the evening which was amazing.

Was a great night away - easy to get to, great open area to kick a ball around with the kids. Nice views, spacious and John was super helpful and friendly. Having a fire pit with wood made our night!

We had such a relaxing weekend getaway! The place was clean, peaceful, and had plenty of space. We really enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend Site 2 -it’s the best spot right by the river!

Camping area was really nice, grass had been mowed. River views could be improved with the over grown vegetation removed. Toilet was clean, we didn’t use as we were self contained. The area around the toilet and house needs a good clean up a lot of rubbish which was not a good look.

Wonderful location, great sites - I had a powered site that was on the water, close to the toilets and bathroom ( really clean well maintained) . I was the only camper for 2 of the nights but when others arrived, no one is close to one another so nice and peaceful. Wonderful hosts - Txs Toni and John...! I'll be back with my son. Super nice, peaceful and enjoyable.

This was our first hipcamp location and we really enjoyed it! It had a great view of the river (with access for swimming and fishing), flat and mowed. Toni greeted us on arrival to let us know about the onsite toilet and shower. Couldn’t recommebd this enough!

Great location on the Hawkesbury River and good access to swim and paddle, and watch the skiers go by. So nice to sit in front of fire and watch the sun go down. The owners were lovely and very hospitable. The amenities were clean. A great place to simply let the world go by.

Great location, very neat and tidy grounds and excellent facilities. Very helpful hosts with clear directions to the site. Our dog loved the space.

Had a great time here! It’s a lovely little spot — peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a quick weekend escape. The host was friendly and helpful on arrival but also gave us plenty of space.
The shared bathroom was clean and tidy, and the property itself is beautiful. The mozzies were a bit keen (to be expected near the river!), and we even spotted a snake — a good reminder we were properly out in nature and to zip our tents!!
Only downside was that a neighbour decided Sunday morning was a great time to rev the heck out of his classic car which made the pack-up day a little less peaceful.
Would happily stay again!

My family and I returned to the Hawkesbury Hideaway because of it's quiet location on the banks of the Hawkesbury River. Easy access to the water. Good facilities and fire pit/firewood option give you everything you want for a relaxing stay. Family are lovely and welcoming too. Thank you Toni and family.

We had a great weekend at Toni’s campgrounds! There’s lots of space between each site which is great if you’re after some privacy and peace and quiet. The river view was a bonus, so was the bathroom. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in this area!

Had the lucky pleasure of having the place to ourselves. Flat, clean and quiet. Had a great spot by the river ramp access. Kids had a splash in the water and caught an eel first cast :-)
Host Toni was very nice and responsive.
If you just want to switch off and stay put at camp, this is a great place to be. Will be back!

I had such a wonderful stay here with my dog. The location is incredibly quiet and calm with beautiful surroundings and a lovely river view that make it the perfect place to chill.
Toni and John went above and beyond, helping me with a couple of small camper issues and making me feel completely welcome. A truly peaceful spot that I’d highly recommend. I’m definitely returning, it’s on my regular trip list now.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hawkesbury Hideaway. The location is great and there was enough space that although there were a few other groups there, we didn't feel cramped at all. A great spot not too far from Sydney if you're looking for a weekend away camping

We arrived on time and were expecting the hosts to meet and greet us as their previous email promised. They didn’t show. We had booked a powered site but apparently there are only two. The power source was located behind a derilect eyesore of a caravan which eventually we were directed to by a permanent tenant in the adjoining house. Having to park in such close proximity to the decaying old van certainly affected the ambience of the river and park. Also disappointed there was only one toilet/shower for all campers to share. All up we thought this experience was poor value for the price.

What a great space! The views and stars were just what we were wanting. The area was clean and the amenities were very close. The space between campers was ideal too so we all had our own space enough to feel as if we were all alone! Toni was fantastic too! Would definitely book this again

Wide open space but close to house. Camp wherever on the property… not allocated so can result in people right on top of you, which is not our ideal camp.
There is a toilet and shower but not very clean and the toilet seat was broken.
Can’t really see the river or access it as very overgrown along the bank but there is a boat ramp of sorts there.
The guy was quiet friendly when we arrive and went out of his way to secure the spot where we could see the river for us on day two or our 5 night stay but other than that not acknowledged at all when driving past.
Potable water is off their tanks so didn’t want to use it as they relied on this for their house.
Quite a bit of junk lying around too.
Not our style of camping but if you are happy to see the owners house and other campers it’s in a great spot to explore the area including the blue mountains

We had a great stay. Wonderful location. With plenty of space . We experienced a flat battery on the morning we were leaving and Toni offered to provide a jump start.
The river is lovely and a few kayaks for hire would be a great addition to this place.
