Facilities need a lot of work

Unfortunately the facilities really let this campsite down. Gorgeous location on the creek, however the toilet and shower blocks were falling down and had clearly not been cleaned for a while, featuring mud all over the floor, dirty discarded underwear and lots of rubish (the men's showers being completely unusable) a real shame, and sadly not worth the money we paid to stay here.

Good: Beautiful location - nice clean shallow river, beautiful surrounding trees, birds with their relaxing signing Need to improve: Family arriving at midnight and everyone being loud until 3am. Shouldn't allowed arrival after certain time and need to police noise as these situations wreck the whole trip. Simple fixes like soap in toilet and ideally a little refurb of facilities. Manager could also be a little more welcoming on arrival (we are guests/customers not people who should be treated as an inconvenience) NB: A little shallow for decent fishing so would need to hope in the car or kayak to access better areas

Our camping experience was wonderful. The site was mostly in shade, close to amenities & the river. The river was great for our 6 year old, high tide for a good swim & low tide for playing in the sand & collecting sticks. The amenities could do with an update but the fact there’s hot showers is amazing. Would definitely go again.

Lovely spacious campground with plenty of room to relax, and the Colo River was an absolute highlight — such a beautiful spot to swim or unwind. The hosts were friendly and clearly take pride in keeping the grounds tidy, especially given the challenges of rising costs and insurance. The amenities are simple and a bit dated, but clean and functional. A peaceful, back-to-basics camping experience for those who enjoy a more rustic stay. A perfect start to our Hipcamp adventures!

It is in a nice location, definitely had its better days. While we tried to have a nice and relaxing weekend they decided to do mowing on a Saturday from 9-4ish which it was a bit annoying.

Great basic camp ground.

Nice and quiet first 2 nights. The amenities are very basic but serviceable wouldn’t expect much more for the price. Fire pit was great. There was the occasional sewerage smell but not overwhelming. Our bird loved all the bird calls. Our third night a large group came and were rowdy as expected for young people but having a 3 year old we just cut our trip short by 1 night to avoid any issues noise travels in the open area. This was the first camping trip for my husband and step daughter they both thought it was great.

Lots of space. Was three other groups there. While one group was a bit noisy we were far enough away that it didn't matter. Facilities a little run down but good enough for a night or two away, particularly if you're not precious.

The overall site dilapidated - you can see this used to be a great place 10 years ago but the facilities are a bit destroyed. Personally I wouldn't be back and I would think there are plenty of better places.

Great location, but definitely not fit for purpose if it rains. The entire site was puddles - waking up to ankle high water wasn't great, and we only stayed one night because of it. Would otherwise be a great location if dry. Unsure if we'd be back unless it's a last minute booking, waiting for weather forecasts.

I enjoyed Richard’s spot. Right on the Colo River, there were plenty of entry points to swim or fish off the banks. Fire pits aplenty too. Toilets and water are onsite. No frills but clean enough. I only did an overnighter, and would come back for another.

We stayed for a long weekend. The location itself is lovely and peaceful, and we really enjoyed the natural surroundings. Fortunately, we are very self-sufficient with our camping setup, which allowed us to still have a good time. That said, if we hadn’t been so well-prepared, we would have been incredibly disappointed. The facilities are in serious need of an upgrade, they were barely functional, extremely dirty, and unhygienic. The showers were completely unusable and the toilets were in poor condition. We also had to rely on our own hand soap, as there was none available on site. Unfortunately, due to the state of the amenities, we wouldn’t return

This place was such a good spot, had multiple sites to choose from with available toilets, accessible toilets water, camp fire pits and flat surfaces to set up camp. There was even a nice river perfect for summer.

Mixed feelings about this camp-site. Pros: The camping spots are spacious, and have its fire pits. Easy access and close to Sydney. Dogs allowed. Good place for big groups gathering. Cons: The toilets are dirty and outdated. Noisy campers till late night.

Location was great on the river bank! Alittle bit of rubbish from previous campers but we tidied up when we got there and set up View of the river from our camp site was incredible We’ll be back

It’s a nice little inland camping area but gets too muddy and toilets/showers are super dirty, no point in showering because you’d just get muddy and dirty again haha, if facilities are updated and upkept then would recommend

Overall 3/5. We had a great experience. Quiet & secluded, with the occasional bike exhaust sounds from across the mountain. Owner was nice and welcoming. Lots of bird noises in the Morning. Many bush turks. Almost 20 fire pits and big private camp ground. Somewhat unlike the pictures in some ways in terms of imagination. However, Toilets can definitely do with a make over / clean. Male toilets had no lights or shower, unlike the women side. Both had half their toilets unfuctional or blocked off

I loved Bielany campground. Great weather, swimming in the Colo River was refreshing. Hosts Rick and Cass were great, very friendly and helpful. Great that I could take my pooch too. I highly recommend this camp ground.
