The space
Waunbayvil camping is set in its own secluded spot on 40 acres of private wildland and woodlands in the Pembrokeshire national Park, with a pond and views of the stunning landscape. It is the perfect getaway, a place to re-connect with nature and your loved ones in the most peaceful place away from it all. This is not a big campsite with lots of other people, you can book one of 3 seperate fields for a private group, or otherwise, only 2 or 3 families very spread out at a time.
The pitches are set out with plenty of space in between. There is parking for cars or campervans with nothing but nature all around you. We also have a small hard standing area for campervan.
There is a shared compost loo, a washing up area, and an off grid shower shack. It is set in the most beautiful surroundings, teaming with wild life and filled with wild orchids and many different species of grasses and wildflowers. It is unique and a treat for people who love natural habitat. The sea is about two miles away where there are spectacular cliff walks for many miles on the Pembrokeshire coast path, and beautiful beaches for swimming.
Bring logs and kindling with you. (Can be bought from any garage)
If you bring a cool box we can top you up with frozen ice packs. Just ask.

Other things to note
40 acres of meadows, wildlife habitat and woods which guests are welcome to roam. You can walk down the track and visit the artists gallery and shop in the big blue barn.

This camping space is definitely one we will be coming back to. The surroundings are beautiful and we were able to see some awesome wildlife: birds of prey, bats, cows and a very friendly horse named George. George is a fantastic camping neighbour.
The owner has recently installed some great sawdust/compost toilets.
David was very friendly when we met, very hospitable and took the time to clear the land and facilities.

Brilliant spot for those who want to enjoy nature, have a little fire and feel totally removed from the hustle and bustle of life (while only being a 3.5 mile river-side walk from Brecon town centre).
Compost toilets were spotless. Rest of the campers were nice and spread out. Plenty of wildlife and birds around.
Just a really lovely spot. Great to have stayed at such a great price. Will definitely be rebooking.

Second stay at David's site and it definitely felt like home. Left a day early because we never predicted how cold it actually gets and the kids in our group as well as a couple adults were feeling the effects. If you do see a temperature at night thats low, do pack for it. Sleeping in layers may be a help

We loved the view close access to the river which forms the boundary.

We lived camping at Celtic Woodland. The 6 astroturf pitches are in a quiet wood which is beautifully lit with subtle lighting in the evenings. The pitches are quite close together so if it was full it would feel quite toghtly packed, but I don't imagine it is ever completely booked up and it can easily hold 3 or 4 groups without feeling too much. The woods are lovely mixed woodland with nice trails winding through them. A nice park for little ones and a great games room for wet days (although under the trees you really don't notice the rain). Toilets and showers are good, as is the kitchen - great facilities giving excellent value for money. We'll be back!!

This is a lovely site- really peaceful, beautifully set out and organised and ideal for those who want to go nearly off grid i.e. there is fridge space and somewhere to charge a phone. The compost loos are amazing - well kept and much pleasanter than many conventional loos on campsites. The only disturbances I encountered were persistently drumming woodpeckers and clumsy squirrels crashing around in the trees! As a base for walking and cycling it was ideal.

We arrived 1PM on a Saturday and there were already several campers there, but felt very lucky to have found a woodland spot by the creek! We relaxed by the camp fire, whilst we watched our 9YO played by the water the whole time we were there. The toilets were very well stocked and clean. The site itself was clean, quiet, felt secluded but safe, and very easy to find. We will definitely be back - thank you!

Beautiful spot to camp. Sheltered and right next to a river. Just beautiful. Easy walk to town. Eco toilets are well structured, clean, and serviced. They are built very well so no unpleasant smells! Fires allowed. Peaceful. David is super chilled and friendly. This one’s a keeper for us! Loved it.

We had a beautiful stay at the Secret Spot. The owners were absolutely lovely and welcoming. Everything was very well thought out. They thought of every little thing you could wish for.
The gardens a were stunning! It was just so perfect all round.
Will definitely be back again, and that will be our go to camping spot for the foreseeable!! 😍
