We had a lovely stay here last weekend. Lots of little touches elevate this tucked away campsite above others. Highly recommend.

The campsite is small but very beautiful. We felt very comfortable. It has a beautiful walk through the forest and the facilities are good.

Nice and quiet place. A lot to do around the area aswell and really welcoming host!

Weekend Trip to Tipis at Ponty, Greener Camping

Stayed 3 nights here and it was perfect. Hosts were amazing! Communal area was nice with the fire pit and fridge for all to use really came in handy! Pembrokeshire is nice and plenty to do! Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved camping here and staying on the Daffyd pitch. Jane and Ian were so incredibly lovely and had some great recommendations for what to do in the local area. We also enjoyed an oven baked pizza on the Saturday night! Peaceful, beautiful and welcoming stay - truly special. We hope to be back.

Weekend Trip to Tree Tops and Train Tracks

My young nephew and I had a great time camping on the Hegdehog pitch of the Treetops and Traintracks site. Coinciding with some fine, sunny days, we trundled in, out and about on our bicycles and found Sebastian's welcome a hearty warm one 😀 The site is lovingly and neatly kept, offering around ten pitches and well-serviced toilets and showers (my nephew liked the train carriage-themed facilities!). The modest size was congenial for sharing stories and tios with ither campers, whilst avoiding the noise and insitutionalisation which comes with larger scale operations. My nephew and I were pleased out fire-starting skills were strong enough to barbecue our dinner and were grateful for the bonus teatime treats on offer, and the extra blanket! Currently a site for the self-sustaining camper (no standard charging or electric hook up points) makes this is simply special 😀 Good luck with your ongoing developments and growing family! This was our second stay at the shepherd’s hut and it was just as great as the first. It’s a lovely, peaceful spot and really well looked after. We also tried the eggs from their hens this time – they were delicious!

The camp site is great! Hot shower hit the spot! Fire pit was awesome! Tranquil sound of running water from the river! Overall a very good spot! Would recommend!

Weekend Trip to Nant Bach Retreat

Just for back from the most perfect weekend. We stayed in the camping barn. John & Adele were the perfect hosts, could not do more for us. Beautiful views, hot tub was amazing, star gazing at night. Thank you so much. See you in August xx

Camped with 3 friends and it was ideal! The pitch was a really good size and the facilities were great. A good location with lots of lovely towns and beaches nearby - thank you so much!

2 nights at Celtic Woodland Holidays

We stayed in Epynt and had a lovely couple of days. It was basic but very comfortable and had everything we needed. Double bed was very comfortable and the kids liked staying on the bunkbeds. The view from the balcony was beautiful, especially at sun set. We found it warm enough so didn’t need to use the log burner. The communal kitchen was great and the games room was a very welcome addition.

What a wonderful little parcel of solitude hidden away in the Welsh hills. Surrounded by bird song and wildlife as you wake up. As close to wild camping as you'll get, without justing packing your bag and heading into the Peaks. Tim was lovely, full of suggestions, and the site has information all around with recommendations for walks. Looking forward the heading back when summer is in full force!

Really enjoyed our stay in Poplys. The podcast was comfortable, warm and well equipped and the whole site was pretty and well thought out, with a good "amenity hub" which is particularly useful in inclement weather. The only slight issue we had was we found the temperature of the showers to be inconsistent and they seemed to start off warm but quite quickly get much colder. It should also be noted that the owners' dogs are free to wander the site which may be a concern for people who are nervous of dogs: one of them made my daughter and I jump when it appeared from the veranda of our pod as we returned one night from the bathroom (although it was perfectly friendly) and the other dog, which was more nervous, was by our car on two occasions when we wanted to access it and barked at us as we approached the car - it did back off when we got closer but some people might find that unnerving. Overrall we had a lovely stay and I'd be happy to return and also to recommend it to others.

Llandyfan Camping

Our beautiful home is a glamping and camping site with its own gorgeous fishing lake on the outskirts of the village of Llandyfan. You can find us to the west of the Brecon Beacons or Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. Llandyfan Campsite has been lovingly re-established in early 2024 by Andy and Jo. Since taking ownership, we have rolled up our sleeves and got stuck into restoring it to its former glory and will soon be back to being a fully operational slice of Welsh heaven. Our first focus has been the fishing lake which we opened in March. The campsite followed in May. We are currently working on electric hook ups and other improvements. We have chickens on site that roam free during the day. They are friendly and like to wander around the tents to say hello to our guests! We would like everyone who visits to have a great time and a relaxing break. Whilst here please be considerate towards others, to their property, and while using the facilities. If you have any concerns, please let us know. We have brought out a few rules from our T&Cs and we kindly ask that you have a read through before your stay. Litter: You must pick up your litter. Please either take it with you or recycle it appropriately in the bins onsite. There are bins around the campsite, please recycle where possible. Pitches to be left as you found them. Noise: Be respectful and consider your neighbours. Keep noise to a minimum after 10pm and before 8am in the morning. No loud music is to be played at any time. Children: Children must be supervised at all times around the campsite and can play within the pitch space allocated to you. At quiet times, it may be possible for children to use vacant pitches for play but this cannot be guaranteed. The amenity block and associated facilities are not to be used as a play area. Dogs: Must not to be left unattended. Are to be kept on leads at all times whilst on the campsite. (We are working on an enclosed dog walking area, however this is not yet available). no refunds on bookings if cancelled withing 10days of booking
