The historic towns of Denbigh and Mold are only a 15 minute drive away as is Holywell and Flint . On site you will have ensuite facilities in our luxurious Quarry Wagons with a covered outdoor veranda deck and an outdoor bath tub to relax and unwind under the dark skies. You will also have your own campfire and picnic area right outside and parking is provided adjacent to your unit . We have a secluded private hillside woodland with further areas to explore without even leaving the site . We are brand new for 2024 and will have 2 units onsite this year and plans in place for another 2 soon . In total we will have 4 camping pitches with direct connection for water , electric and lpg gas for all your heating cooking and bathing needs

Lovely, well appointed camp! Great facilities and hidden gems to discover once you are there! Pizzas are delicious and a truly magical spot looking towards the Priselli hills. Spa was delightful, pigs are friendly and the hay bale barn was a big hit with the kids! Highly recommend.

Great camp site , everything is well organised and well tought . Suzi has put an enormous amount of work and dedication to make this camp site so unique and welcoming. Suzi has gone above and beyond with meticulous arrangements for Geodomes, nice clean and spacious , full off blankets , linens , lamps and gadgets like fans . Her welcom book / guide it is an essence of valuable information where to go and what are best local places to visit . Suzi itself is an very open and friendly person , always ready to help and support. Perfect spot for star gazing.Very dark nights. Cooking/ dining shack is absolutely amazing( brilliant idea itself), everything is there, you can even cook or make bbq during rainy day. Camping stove in situ. Honesty shop - needed essential in situ , wood logs , charcoal , local products like jams ,tea , eggs and coffe . Dog friendly site. Recycling zone present . Would return next year . Can not complaint about anything, everything is well maintained - general site conditions including utilities, essentials and building conditions. Very nice place , come and rejoice with nature.

This campsite is perfection. We booked a bell tent to celebrate my birthday. It was a great choice. Everything was just lovely from the warm welcome, the help with transporting all our clobber up the hill, stunning views of the mountains and the site is a wildlife haven. We saw baby swallows and a hedgehog and loved the morning birdsong. Come here for absolute peace and tranquility. We can't wait to return.

Each 5m bell tent has a double futon with mattress topper, bed linen for the double, and two additional inflatable mattresses (you will need to bring bedding for these.)

3 nights at wildwood quarry retreat

We stayed in the Oak cabin. Both cabins are pretty identical. Absolutely fantastic stay with an amazing location and stunning views. Unfortunately we didn't have the best weather but that was ok because we had all the facilities we needed to cook, clean and relax. Super easy access to nearby towns if wanting to venture off to find stuff to do. The outdoor bath was a really nice touch as well. Felt so relived and stress free not having to think about the daily grind for a few nights. Couldn't recommend Wildwood Quarry Retreat enough!! Thanks a lot Colin. :) Matt

Fabulous site. Small, but pitches well spaced so even if there were people on all pitches it wouldn't feel busy or loud. Geodome was very comfortable with heater and proper bed. Would definitely recommend and if we were to visit the area again (possibly still lots of things in the area we didn't see/do) then we would stay here again.
