I have always loved Sweet Hill Farm. It’s a lovely relaxed campsite with sea views and amazing walks nearby. Also, being able to have a camp fire is fantastic. The showers are brilliant too. The only disappointment for me this year is that the compost loos have been replaced with horrible portaloos! Please bring back compost loos, they are so much nicer!

1 night at Sweet Hill Farm
This was my first time camping here and I will definitely return again. Whilst SatNav got me most of the way, the directions on Hipcamp made the last little bit of the journey much easier. I was welcomed warmly at the well-stocked little cafe, and given a map to show my how to get to the field I pitched in. The tracks on-site are full of large potholes - so definitely something to be mindful of, especially if you have extremely low-suspension on your car! However, take it slow and easy and all is well here. I had the most amazing view, from where I pitched up, over to Portland Bill lighthouse. Both sunset and sunrise were stunning. Facilities here are extremely basic - but it’s enough for those that simply need to get away from life for a while and sleep under the stars without all the creature comforts of home. Of course, there is a place for being able to have all the mod-cons available, but this is camping the way it should be done! I wasn’t here long enough to speak to any of the other campers, but everyone seemed relaxed and there was no loud music or anything played into the night, meaning I could drift to sleep easily enough at the end of the day. I loved the Boy John. There was so much attention to detail in everything on board. Very comfortable bed and plenty of lighting. Also clear instructions around the site, regarding water, showers, toilets etc. All facilities very clean. Nothing compares to having your own little bit of coastline !!

This was my first time ever camping and I had a great time at this site, it's the perfect mix of rural, real camping with local amenities near enough especially for someone doing camping for the first time. Located right near the coast, it's a beautiful view, excellent facilities including showers and cafe. The only downside is that when I did arrive in the evening there was no one to greet us, even though the cafe should've been open at that time but other than that no complaints, wonderful hosts and would definitely go again.

The pitches sits on a raised slate plateau, nestled under the treeline...separated from the other pitches by shrubs... (picture taken in early spring before a lot of the green leaves have grown back after winter!)

The two camps are at opposite ends of the woodland and are set up with two Tentsile tree tents each. It is quiet, peaceful and lovely, great for birdwatching. The Bannau Brycheiniog, (the Brecon Beacons) are a stone's throw away, you can see them from our property. The A40 and Llandovery train station are just minutes away.

Waunbayvil wild camping. A teeny pop up campsite for private groups. Come alone or bring friends and family. Just 10 mins drive from the sea at Ceibwr on the Pembrokeshire coast. The space Waunbayvil camping is set in its own secluded spot on 40 acres of private wildland and woodlands in the Pembrokeshire national Park, with a pond and views of the stunning landscape. It is the perfect getaway, a place to re-connect with nature and your loved ones in the most peaceful place away from it all. This is not a big campsite with lots of other people, you can book the whole campsite for a private group, or otherwise, only 2 or 3 families very spread out at a time. The pitches are set out with plenty of space in between. There is parking for cars or campervans, and the camping area itself is not accessible for vehicles, making it a lovely car free space with nothing but nature all around you. You will need to carry tents and equipment up to the camping area., only around 100m from the parking area. (We have a wheel barrow for you to use)We also have a small hard standing area for campervan. There is a compost loo, a washing up area, and an off grid shower shack. It is set in the most beautiful surroundings, teaming with wild life and filled with wild orchids and many different species of grasses and wildflowers. It is unique and a treat for people who love natural habitat. The sea is about two miles away where there are spectacular cliff walks for many miles on the Pembrokeshire coast path, and beautiful beaches for swimming. Bring logs and kindling with you. (Can be bought from any garage) If you bring a cool box we can top you up with frozen ice packs. Just ask. NO LOUD PARTIES Guest access Acres of land and woodland, kitchen shack, compost loo, shower hut, pond. Other things to note 40 acres of meadows, wildlife habitat and woods which guests are welcome to roam. You can walk down the track and visit the artists gallery and shop in the big blue barn. From our pictures, we hope, they give you a sense of relaxation and to forget the World outside away from our part of the UKs wonderful Pembrokeshire.

Off the beaten track on top of the Mendips in an area of outstanding natural beauty. A mixture of four acres of wild woodland, orchard and field set on a hillside. Our Yurt is set up in the trees giving you peaceful seclusion and a clear view across the sea to Wales and the mountains of the Brecon Beacons. A huge range of activities are possible or you can lie in the hammock with a good book. We have very friendly dogs and rescue chickens who may come and visit. Wild deer wander past in the early morning mist and the odd buzzard picks an argument with a bunch of crows but nothing much else should disturb you. We moved here after an 18 month search 8 years ago. It was close to everything we wanted and we've spent some time getting a bit closer.

Duncan and Alexis live here with their young family and we want to continue to improve the biodiversity of the farm alongside building a sustainable farm business incorporating luxury rural accommodation and grass-fed beef and lamb. We are lucky enough to have a wide variety of wildlife on our farm including tawny and barn owls, deer, buzzards, pheasants, swallows, bullfinches, fieldfares and numerous bats, butterflies and beetles! Take a look at our Wildlife page. We follow a grass-fed, low input, regenerative agriculture philosophy. This means that (apart from our bulls, rams and boars which have to be bought in to prevent in-breeding) all of our animals are born on the farm. They stay with their mothers’ as long as possible growing well on their mothers’ milk and our beautiful grass. Apart from our pigs, all of our animals are only fed grass from the farm or hay (from our species rich hay meadows) in winter. We believe this is more sustainable, gives us a minimal carbon footprint and provides our animals with the best possible lives.
