Our Shepherd’s Hut offers the perfect hideaway with hot tub. Nestled in an orchard, overlooking a private meadow, this hand-built hut combines rustic charm with modern comforts. This beautifully detailed hut offers an idyllic base for exploring the surrounding countryside, or simply unwinding in your own private space. A wood burning stove means it can be used all year round and has a bathroom & shower. Fire pit. The Hot tub is optional and is charged at £28 for two nights payable separately on site.
The double bed is a pull down type operation which is very simple . The bedding is permanently laid. When not in use there is a table to dine.
There are no permanent cooking facilities but a multi cooker can be provided. There is a two ring electric hob with toaster and kettle. An under counter fridge/freezer is in built.
Hot water on demand with flushing toilet.
We can provide additional sleeping if required for 2 persons in an adjacent well equipped Mercedes camper van . Please enquire before booking for pricing.

This site should suit couples or singles wanting to 'get away from it all' and also fishing fans down to the ground. It’s got several fishing lakes to choose from with lots of different species, so settle down on the banks with rod in hand and while away a few hours (or days) in quiet contemplation, waiting for something to bite. But please note, the site is not for 'competition anglers' although there are plenty of good sized carp around. and asks anyone fishing to only use barbless hooks, and for fish to be returned to the lake quickly after being caught.Not the fishing type? Chill out in and around your secluded hut, or there’s plenty to entertain in a leisurely fashion: paths wind around the lakes and through copses/shaws (as this is the High Weald) plus through the local countryside. There are spectacular views towards the South Downs National Park from the top lakes. A spring-fed lake is also on site to cool off in with some wild swimming. We had a lovely stay at this campsite. The surrounding area was beautiful, and the little farm was a real highlight—the kids absolutely loved it.
Mark was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
The facilities are shared with the pub, so they're available while the pub is open. Aside from that, everything was wonderful, and we really enjoyed our stay.

Really great campsite, feels very quiet and remote. Beautiful site with pitches amongst the plum trees (if you want!) or more open grass if you prefer that. Diane was very friendly and helpful, provided us with everything we needed. It's also worth mentioning how good the facilities are - blocks of pristine toilets and washing area. Trampolines to use for free too. Great for families. Will definitely be back.

I came here to work on a play and this was the perfect place to do so. The cabin is cosy and well designed with interesting art. The stove is really effective, you have everything you need in the kitchen. The bed is comfy. The surroundings are extremely green and peaceful, I heard many birds including an owl at night. Andy was a communicative host. I’d definitely recommend this for anyone who would like a gentle break with the trees.

Matt met us on arrival and helped carry our bags to the The Shepherds Hut which is well fitted out , nicely decorated , lovely and clean, and well equipped. Nice hot shower and towel rail. Electric fire and also a log burner should you need it for the cold weather,The bed was so so comfy and the oat biscuits and eggs were delicious !!
All windows had lovely views.

We loved the setting, the camping field is surrounded by trees. We heard owls hooting at night. There is a small herd of fab Highland Cattle, a piggy wig and two cute goats.
Donna & Allen are very hospitable and the farm has been in Allen's family since the early 1800's.
We spent three days there in September...it was quiet and the perfect setting to relax and reset.
