Weekend Trip to Little Fleece at Folly Farm

Stayed here with my best friend for a girls weekend and can not recommend it enough! Stunning views, beautiful Shepard's hut, all the little added extras, making it so homely and wholesome, the hot tub is gorgeous, the fire pit was fantastic, just sitting out all night with a 🍷 catching up with each other and the🔥 keeping us warm, was utterly superb ❤️😍 we absolutely loved every second ❤️ and our hosts, David, Jane and Tory were exceptional. We are definitely booking for next year, maybe sooner ❤️ and can’t wait 🥰

We absolutely loved our stay! Highlights included the gorgeous bathhouse, cosy and well stocked caravan and taking peaceful walks in the woods. Anna was a helpful and generous host and made us feel so welcome.

Weekend Trip to The Nut Plat Retreat

We had such a lovely stay in the nut plat. The bedroom cabin was clean and cosy and we loved just relaxing, cooking and jumping in the hot tub as soon as the sun went down. We found the hot tub very easy to use with Duncan providing unlimited wood. The first time we lit it, it took a few hours to heat up but it retains its heat well and on the following days needed much less time to be ready. Duncan mostly left us alone but was very welcoming and even posted my speaker back to me which I left in the cabin. Would definitely recommend :)

Weekend Trip to The Riverside Retreat

This place is perfect. Beautiful views, brilliant and kind host, and gorgeous accommodation. Having the site exclusively to yourself is a real luxury. We felt so relaxed and all the little details are catered for. Campfire, kitchen, BBQ, hot tub, hammock, and even a swing and bird watching binoculars. The gorgeous Bell tent and bathroom are faultless. Thank you Vanessa, for creating such a wonderful little place to step away from real life!

2 nights at Heygates Lodging

We have stayed in the Pheasant Lodge in this beautiful location and it was exactly what we need it. The Lodge was home to home, super clean and well equipped with everything we need it. Graham and Alison are great hosts, nothing too much trouble. The jacuzzi was amazing, perfect place to relax while watching the beautiful sunset over the canal. Yelvertoft was not too far and we loved the delicious homemade sausages from Alex's deli for our grill. We wish we could stayed a bit longer, truly enjoyed our stay.

2 nights at The Riverside Retreat

We loved staying at Vanessa’s campsite, she was very welcoming and we had everything that was needed. The location has a great view of the river and is close to many walks around the Forest of Dean. The wood burner keeps the tent nice and toasty at night. There’s a Big Tesco in the town close by just 10 minutes away from Campsite. Bonus points for the hot tub! Vanessa is very friendly and we felt welcomed and cared for straight away while respecting our privacy at the same time. Definitely Recommended!

We have stayed at 68 Degrees West a couple of times now. It’s a great campsite. There is plenty of space in the field, so even with other campervans there, it feels like you have privacy and room to enjoy the beautiful views. The shower and toilet block was spotless. Weekend Trip to Great House Farm Luxury Pods

Beautiful view. The sky at night is unlike anything I have ever seen; so clear that I could see every star! The hosts were personable and helpful. They offered activities and provided advice for food orders. The hot tub was stunning and located right next to the pod, so it felt very private hopping from one to the other. It was a well needed relaxing weekend! We will defo be going back :)

Weekend Trip to The Nut Plat Retreat

A fantastic cosy, quiet and romantic cabin, perfect for a little weekend getaway. The hosts are super accommodating and responsive but are also very respectful of your privacy. We arrived with both the fireplace inside and the hot tub fire already roaring. A fantastic experience overall would recommend to anyone! And easy enough to access by just public transport if you don't want to drive :))

Location is excellent. The views are stunning despite our stay being on a more overly cloudy/misty day/night. Close to Brecon town centre and easily reached by taxi both ways. Craddock Golf Course nearby was also very welcoming where we watch the 1st half of the rugby before heading into town. We did message a couple of times via Hipcamp about the pitch but didnt get a reply. However, when we arrived we were happy with the pitches available. We just picked our own and set up. Overall we were really pleased and would definitely return.

3 nights at The Nut Plat Retreat

Came for a short break away from work and degree stress. Planned to go on some nice walks with the dog but the weather was awful. So ended up staying in by the log burner, reading our books and crochet. I did also manage to get the hot tub HOT ♨️ one day, took a few rounds of restocking the fire but once we got there, it then got so hot I had to add some cold! So worth it! There is good WiFi available so manged to watch a few films in the evening. Might be back for one of my reading weeks when I need minimal distractions! 😂

Absolutely stunning site and location with incredible views. The showers and toilets were immaculately clean (and warm!). Would absolutely recommend this site, and definitely planning a return later in the year. Perfect for exploring Brecon!

We live in a secluded idyllic hamlet only 11 miles from the centre of Cardiff. Yr Hen Felin used to be the flour mill serving Dyffryn House and the Estate. Later it became the woodsman’s cottage. The water wheel no longer exists, but the river runs through the property. The five acre site has two beautifully converted horseboxes and a shepherd’s hut with exclusive use of my art room which has a kitchenette, a woodburning stove and table and sofabed. For those who enjoy a more modern experience we have a dwelling with boifold doors on two sides and spectacular views. The 4 self catering accommodations have their own private spaces, barbecues and their own private hot tubs. We also have a small holding with sheep, alpacas, a pig, hens, ducks and fan tail doves.

Offas Dyke Retreat

A holiday taking in two countries – a tad ambitious? Not in the slightest. Take off to Offa’s Dyke Retreat and such escapades are very easy indeed, as you’re almost on the border of England and Wales, with plenty of gorgeous scenery and outdoorsy antics on both sides of the divide. Site is set in 3 acres with new 2023 communal space, including games room sofa snug, dinning area, new wet rooms and kitchen to be complete December 2023. You can start gazing at that scenery without even leaving this friendly glamping site in the little village of Longtown, for the outlook here is one of the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons National Park. Ready for a closer look? Get those boots on and set off for a wander. The Offa’s Dyke path passes nearby on its way from Pandy to Hay-on-Wye, and there are lots of little local paths to explore too. A stroll of a much less strenuous variety (barely a 7 minute, in fact) takes you to the local pub for home-cooked meals, local ales. If you can manage a little further (a 6 minutes walk), you can get to a fab village shop stacked with fresh and frozen food, local tipples and homemade cakes. Stock up there and trot back to the site for a picnic or barbecue (firepit provided, with firewood available to buy on site), or use the well-equipped communal kitchen to prep your eats. 5 ensuite railway carriages with kitchenette, 2 pods and 3 further carriages use shared facilities on site include a toilet block with a couple of showers; no need to bring your own towels, as you’ll be provided with these when you get here, along with bedding for your cosy sleeping quarters.

The showmans has a wooden mollycroft roof, to preserve this we have added an external covering, which not only adds to the quirky design but also means the inside is kept lovely and cool in the heat and cosy and warm on chilly nights when you light the wood stove. There are numerous windows to allow plenty of natural light. We have added plenty of attention to detail with our craft skills, including chainsaw carved owls! Super comfortable double bed, cosy wood burner, kitchen, table and seating, cosy reading area, ample wardrobe and cupboard space: all make for those glamping luxuries. Outside light on porch with boot and coat area. Half a dozen eggs, tea, coffee and sugar are provided, please bring your choice of milk as we are no longer able to supply this. Owls Hollow has power for lights and sockets. There is no internal plumbing, water is in a traditional jug and ample barrels of water with taps for ease of use are provided in the tented utility area. This also houses the fridge, washing up sink, and undercover area to sit. All the water here is natural spring water and there is no WiFi, and rarely any phone signal (*update: unless you are with O2, possible signal)- so you can relax and just get back to nature. Outside you have a camp fire area with seating and fire dish, which also doubles up as a large BBQ. There is an open tented utility area, also outdoor table and chairs and two sun loungers. The first two evenings ample worth of firewood is provided with your booking, further bags can be bought on site for £5 if required. We have a friendly small black cat who is likely to visit you around the fire! Welcome to shoo her away or let her be- but she is strictly not allowed in the showman’s! It’s half a minutes walk along your path to the glamorous compost toilet (with solar lights) and the ultra special bathroom! The quirky bathroom comprises 2 indoor areas- one with dressing room and hot shower, the other with wash basin. Only Eco friendly products can be used: we provide shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap for your convenience. Your towels and dressing gowns will be provided ready folded on the shower area shelving. Outside is the wonderful outdoor bathing experience! Relax in the deep cast iron bath watching the day go by, or the night sky (and often owls and bats!) Instant hot water means you can stay in for as long as you like, topping up as needed! Take a book and a pot of tea / glass of wine and just lay back and soak. The advantages of our spring water fed bath over hot tubs are no need for chemicals, adjust the temperature easily, eco friendly and two can still fit! There is also the option to use the attached shower head. 240v sockets available in the dressing area, hairdryer supplied. A tent pitch is also available when booking Owls Hollow, please enquire.
