Off the beaten track on top of the Mendips in an area of outstanding natural beauty. A mixture of four acres of wild woodland, orchard and field set on a hillside. Our Yurt is set up in the trees giving you peaceful seclusion and a clear view across the sea to Wales and the mountains of the Brecon Beacons. The Yurt is big and sleeps up to four very comfortably. It has its own stove and outside is a washroom just for you with hot shower , toilet and sinks. Your own meadow allows you to just relax and be. Up on the campfield you can bring your own tent or hire a Belle tent from us with all the fittings to camp contentedly. Our new Wash House has hot showers, flushing toilets and basins. You can light a fire and cook up a BBQ or maybe just watch the world go by. A huge range of activities are possible or you can lie in the hammock with a good book. We have very friendly dogs and rescue chickens who may come and visit. Wild deer wander past in the early morning mist and the odd buzzard picks an argument with a bunch of crows but nothing much else should disturb you. We moved here after an 18 month search 11 years ago. It was close to everything we wanted and we've spent some time getting a bit closer.

A very warm welcome to our guests at Little Eden, a restful and relaxing, riverside campsite for tents and campervans with grass pitches. We’re in a great spot if you love fishing, kayaking, gorge walking, cycling, seasides, fossil hunting, wild swimming, fell running, bird watching, archaeology or even Viking history! We are 9 miles from the mystical Glastonbury Abbey and Tor and directly on a Sustrans 33 cycle path route. The River Brue runs alongside the campsite with damsel flies fluttering by and kingfishers darting back and forth. We are on the Somerset levels so the sunsets are amazing as well as night time stargazing. We have a private, wooden jetty where you can launch your own paddle board. It’s a perfect get away for campers and nature lovers. Bring your own raised BBQs and logs or buy firewood on site. A family run campsite around 30 miles south of Bristol on the banks of the River Brue, it has a relaxed vibe and we try to keep things simple and straight forward. It’s ideal for doing some day trips nearby, then lighting the BBQ and playing Frisbee (games box you are most welcome to use). Our big sister site is just 4 miles away, and the café bar at 'Wall Eden Farm' serves fantastic coffee, cake, and family-made Somerset cider. As you'd expect from a site with such a name, there's a whole lot of space in which to relax and explore at 5 Acres, a large grassy site in the Somerset Levels. Kids and dogs are both welcome on site here, and there's plenty of scope for them to run about and play games safely away from barbecues and campfires (which are also permitted to keep you warm and fed in the evenings). Facilities on site include firepits, a toilet and shower block and outdoor sinks with mains water. We no longer sell logs. Nearest supplier is Knight Bros Garage. Dogs must be kept on leads at all time. We class ourselves as a quite site so no amplified music. The premier pitch is fully enclosed so dogs can be let off the lead. There is a maximum of six people allowed on this pitch at any one time. Visitors are allowed as long as the total number of people doesn't exceed six and they are chargeable at the overnight rate and must leave by 18:00 - Sorry, had the envelope pushed a bit! Mains hook ups are 6Amp max rated. Pitches are approximately 16m x 16m. The flag, firepit and pitch number line up in the centre of your pitch. The surrounding Somerset Levels aren’t just out in the sticks – they also produce them. Willow cane has been cultivated the traditional way in this part of the county for hundreds of years and can be seen growing within a mile of 5 Acres. The Levels are also a wildlife haven, making them an all-round top choice for country walks along the many trails nearby. And while this may be a rural retreat, it's also one that's easy to get to as it's just off the A378 (no winding country lanes to negotiate for this one…) Taunton town centre, with its wide range of shops and supermarkets, is a 15-minute drive away. The closest pub and coffee shop are five minutes away by road.

We had a wonderful weekend here. The indoor skate park is an incredible feature, and we had a great time in the tree net and playing big chess. We stayed in the lovely converted horsebox and it had everything we needed. I would happily visit again to stay for a weekend or along Offa's Dyke Path.

Wookey Farm was an absolute delight! We visited on a sunny April day and it was so peaceful, with the sounds of birds and farm animals all around us. The land is beautifully maintained and everything was very clean. Such a relaxing escape, would highly recommend! And the goats were incredibly friendly, which made it even more special 🐐💛

Weekend Trip to Romantic Country Glamping

The shepherds hut was fabulous. Lovely quiet, rural location with some excellent dog walks close by. The hut itself was well appointed with fantastic ‘extras’: a fresh crusty loaf, eggs from the owners chickens, butter, milk, huge marshmallows for toasting, biscuits, jam, etc. Great fire pit with wood and firelighters. The hit has an ensuite bathroom with flushing toilet and hot shower. The bed was really comfortable and extra blankets are provided for chilly nights, plus a wood-burning stove and a plug in heater if needed. There is a regular fridge, with ice-box and a 2-burner gas hob for quick fry-ups. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place - we had a fantastic stay.

Just returned from an outstanding stay at Wookey Farm campsite. The grass pitch we booked could not of been better spacious, level, incredible views, its own fire pit area tucked away but adjoining the pitch. Loos were great best kept composting toilets if seen. Quiet yet relaxed site decent farm shop and great walks. We will be back need to try out the communal wood fired oven next time 👍

Had an absolutely magical two night stay here for our anniversary. The bed is super comfy. The bath was so relaxing I'm afraid it might have ruined every other bath for me from here on out! The outdoor shower is superb, I've never felt so relaxed and energised. The area is absolutely beautiful, we went for a walk on the gorgeous bluebell woods and the woodland commons. Hostess was super friendly and helpful, I can't recommend it enough.

Lovely location next to the River Brue. Fantastic facilities, including hot showers for no additional charge and a kitchen where you can make brew. I went at the very start of the season and had it all to myself which, given how burned out I was from work, was fantastic. I will return later in the year when the weather is better, and will use the site as a base to visit all the archaeological sites and monuments the area has to offer.

Fantastic hosts who met us on arrival, very helpful friendly and informative. We were lucky enough to have the pick of where we wanted to set up and we chose a lovely spot with a short walk to the facilities. The facilities were well kept, clean and tidy and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. We were lucky enough to be greeted by the geese when we woke up today, although we weren’t as lucky with the fishing! Our hosts were kind enough to tell us about their farm shop and cafe where activities such as air rifle shooting and axe throwing were available which we will definitely look at doing next time🙂 Our hosts were so accommodating and even cooked us a delicious breakfast when their cafe was usually closed(Mondays) From start to finish a fantastic stay we were well looked after and cannot recommend this place enough. They also have some impressive looking glamping pods and log cabins-some have hot tubs which is something we will be considering for our next visit. Thank you again Andy, Allie and staff x
