We manage Great Cotmarsh Farm in a way that helps nature flourish and our small campsite, with panoramic views of the Marlborough Downs, is managed to the same philosophy. Small and quiet, tucked away in the Wiltshire countryside our campsite is arranged around pathways and pitches mown into one of our fields for Spring and Summertime. We have our own delicious 100% pasture fed lamb and beef to buy for hearty evening meals and a pizza oven for your to make the best tasting stonebaked pizzas with bases provided. If you want to keep your stay super local, there are footpaths leading off the farm into local meadows and up onto the Marlborough Downs, including access up onto the White Horse Trail. Within walking or quick cycling distance of the farm is the fantastic Broad Town Brewery and Hop Garden where you can enjoy locally brewed ales and street food vendors at the weekends.

Off the beaten track on top of the Mendips in an area of outstanding natural beauty. A mixture of four acres of wild woodland, orchard and field set on a hillside.
Our Yurt is set up in the trees giving you peaceful seclusion and a clear view across the sea to Wales and the mountains of the Brecon Beacons. The Yurt is big and sleeps up to four very comfortably. It has its own stove and outside is a washroom just for you with hot shower , toilet and sinks. Your own meadow allows you to just relax and be.
Up on the campfield you can bring your own tent or hire a Belle tent from us with all the fittings to camp contentedly. Our new Wash House has hot showers, flushing toilets and basins. You can light a fire and cook up a BBQ or maybe just watch the world go by.
A huge range of activities are possible or you can lie in the hammock with a good book. We have very friendly dogs and rescue chickens who may come and visit. Wild deer wander past in the early morning mist and the odd buzzard picks an argument with a bunch of crows but nothing much else should disturb you.
We moved here after an 18 month search 11 years ago. It was close to everything we wanted and we've spent some time getting a bit closer.

Weekend Trip to Little Fleece at Folly Farm
Superb little shepherd's hut with lovely, thoughtful hosts. They have considered every detail and are attentive, while still giving you plenty of space. Easy-to-use outdoor tub, walking distance to a lovely community boozer and easy access to the ridgeway national trail for 'big sky' views and all your hike/bike/run needs. Plus lambs in the fields in springtime! Strong recommendation, would return in a heartbeat.

2 nights at Hideaway Hut, Camping cabin.
Had an absolutely magical two night stay here for our anniversary. The bed is super comfy. The bath was so relaxing I'm afraid it might have ruined every other bath for me from here on out! The outdoor shower is superb, I've never felt so relaxed and energised.
The area is absolutely beautiful, we went for a walk on the gorgeous bluebell woods and the woodland commons.
Hostess was super friendly and helpful, I can't recommend it enough.

I had such a lovely weekend at Little Fleece despite the wind! Jane was very welcoming and thought of lots of lovely little touches such as fresh bread and biscuits. Lovely cosy little place! The hosts were as accommodating as possible with homemade bread and shortbread biscuits on arrival which were lovely! Everything was explained fully to us when we arrived from how to work things, where things were, to how to get the wood fired hot tub going. A great overnight stay for me and my girlfriend. Was even treated to having a one day old lamb as a neighbour overnight. As perfect as possible! We'd absolutely stay there again, would recommend 10/10!

We absolutely loved our stay at Jane’s shepherd’s hut. it was the perfect off-grid escape from our busy lives. The hot tub and outdoor pizza oven were definite highlights and made the trip feel extra special.
Jane and her husband were incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and quick to respond whenever we had a question or needed anything. The hut is also ideally located; peaceful and secluded, yet close enough for lovely walks/run and a nearby pub for a quick pint.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing countryside getaway.

Staying in the Horsebox was just fabulous, so much to do, we enjoyed darts, ping pong, table football, tree net and the fabulous skate park. Our hosts were so friendly and we booked wood fired pizza for our evening meal which was delicious. Perfect for an adventurous stay for our boys 14th birthday weekend.

This is the ultimate weekend getaway. Jane and the family are fabulous hosts. Everything was so incredibly clean, and there was so many personal touches from fresh bread to handmade soaps. The view of the property from the cabin was truly spectacular.

We had the most wonderful stay at this little countryside getaway! From the moment we arrived, Jane was absolutely incredible - so kind, welcoming, and full of helpful information about the lodge and surrounding area. She’d thought of everything, leaving clear instructions for how everything worked, which made our stay effortless and relaxing.
The thoughtful touches really made it special - from the freshly baked bread to the delicious shortbread cookies, everything felt homely and made with love. The setting itself was pure peace and quiet, surrounded by nothing but cows, trees, and the soft sounds of nature. It was the perfect place to switch off, breathe deeply, and just enjoy the calm of the countryside.
We honestly didn’t want to leave - a hidden gem that we’d return to in a heartbeat!

We had a really lovely stay in the Bustard Hut. It was peaceful, quaint, and beautifully designed. The interior was unique and thoughtfully put together, and the hut had great facilities considering its limited kitchen space.
The little touches like the marshmallows, bread, and condiments were very much appreciated.
The only downsides were that the hut wasn’t quite as private as it appeared in the pictures, as we could see and be seen by the neighbouring hut from the hot tub, which wasn’t quite what we imagined. Also, there weren’t any trolleys available on arrival, so there was a lot of back and forth with bags since you can’t park next to the hut.
A few things that would be useful to have are some barbecue tools and maybe a fire mitt, as we had to use kitchen utensils to manage the fire. Overall, we had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the thoughtful touches throughout.

We loved staying in one of the pre-pitched bell tents, so cosy and warm with very comfy beds! Warm shower and clean composting loo. Helpful little things like the - rechargeable lanterns for use and bottle lanterns when it got dark. A plus too, lots of kitchen ware and crockery.
