Stowford Manor Farm Campsite

51 units · Glamping, Motorhomes, Tents25 acres · Trowbridge, England
We are a family run farm situated in the beautiful Frome valley. The farm has a range of interests from the traditional Jersey milking cows to a community of workshops used by local craftsmen. The cafe serves cream teas from Easter to the end of September and pizzas are sold in evenings during the summer months. Ours is a small family run camp site with the River Frome on one side, next to the medieval buildings of Stowford Farm. The river is suitable for fishing, boating, swimming and paddling. Historic Bradford-on-Avon is only a 5 minute drive and the City of Bath 15 minutes. For those who enjoy more rural pleasures, 200 metres from the campsite Farleigh Hungerford boasts the only river swimming club in the country, and you can become an instant member for a very small fee.

Glamping near Weymouth guide

Overview

A favourite coastal destination of royals, Weymouth is perfect for glampers with its harbour, sandy beaches, and cultural attractions like Nothe Fort, Portland Bill Lighthouse, and Portland Castle. Spend the night at coastal cottage rentals that put campers in easy distance from Chesil Beach on Europe’s largest tidal lagoon. Or travel a bit out of town toward Dorset AONB and stay in luxury camping pods with private bathrooms and heating and cooking facilities, or furnished bell tents with private showers and firepits. Travel farther into nature and visit East Devon AONB and Blackdown Hills AONB for a glimpse of local wildlife and stunning woodlands. Then spend the night at a private bell tent or land pod, a structure that is halfway between a tent and a timber cabin. For a waterside glampsite, reserve a bell tent near Swanage Beach or one of the painted holiday homes right on the harbour water back in Weymouth.
