I enjoyed the views and quiet area. Chloe The host was lovely and super accommodating. Chloe was really kind, even took time out to find us when we got lost trying to find the way. Our daughter was able to run around enjoying the surroundings, exploring and playing freely. Our dogs were able to bark and be free.

This is the 2nd time me and my friend have stayed here, we love it. Beautiful views, sunset is gorgeous. It feels like you are in the middle of no where but there's a shop about a 30 second drive if you need any supplies. We will definitely be coming back lots over the summer.

Weekend Trip to Southover Woods and Camping

Beautiful location! Would highly recommend! We were a little bit confused on how to get to the site, Chloe was brilliant and sent us through some directions and we found it easily from them. Nice private camping areas with their own firepit and composting toilet. Great for couples or groups of people as there are lots of different pitches offering different unique locations and views. Looking up and seeing the stars above a fire pit, priceless!

I didn't stay into the main field but in one right at the foothills of the South Downs Way accessible by a gravel road. The directions on hipcamp weren't the best but Miles kindly came out and met me. I wish it was possible to add a photo to the review as the views were really stunning. Ideal if your set up for wild camping with a rooftop tent.

Weekend Trip to Stockbridge View Campsite

Fantastic campsite, the host is really friendly and helpful, he gave us a warm welcome and was lovely with our dogs. The shower block is clean and well kept, and the washing up block is well maintained too. The site is tidy and clean, while not huge I felt we had plenty of space. We parked our small campervan on a hard standing site, and the rest of the site wasn’t particularly muddy. There were several other campers with dogs, everyone we encountered was friendly and clearly enjoying the wonderful quiet site! The site is a short walk or drive to Stockbridge, so if you need anything from the town it isn’t a hassle to get to. The town is worth a visit, so having a campsite in such close vicinity is a treat. I would highly recommend this site, I camp regularly throughout the year and this is one of the nicest sites I’ve visited.

Weekend Trip to Penylan Cider Farm

Beautiful little get away. Lots of lovely little touches that makes it stand out. Very peaceful and I think it would be an out of this world stay in the summer. Would definitely recommend 👌

The Cider Site is a small family run camping site, which made it feel very intimate and homely. The views are great and you feel relaxed and part of nature. We stayed right at the end of the season (the last weekend of October), so it was quiet and the Cider Bar was closed.....but we'll be back another time to sample the home made Cider :). The facilities are good - warm shower, towel rail, toilet. This site is on the border of Hereford and Abergavenny, so perfectly placed to explore either, which we did! Great location! Great find! :)

But please note, the site is not for 'competition anglers' although there are plenty of good sized carp around. and asks anyone fishing to only use barbless hooks, and for fish to be returned to the lake quickly after being caught.Not the fishing type? Chill out in and around your secluded hut, or there’s plenty to entertain in a leisurely fashion: paths wind around the lakes and through copses/shaws (as this is the High Weald) plus through the local countryside. There are spectacular views towards the South Downs National Park from the top lakes. A spring-fed lake is also on site to cool off in with some wild swimming. Lots of bird life around, with feeders outside each hut and waterfowl visitors to the lakes.When it comes to eats, pick up or have supplies delivered from supermarkets or takeaways in Uckfield, Heathfield or Crowborough or take a drive to Buxted Park for some posh food or pubs in Blackboys, Crowborough, Ringles Cross, 5 Ash Down, Rotherfield, or Buxted (it'll take about 10 minutes to drive to any of these). If you do forget to bring anything then there is an on-site shop that carries most of the essentials that you may need. We do not charge for dogs. However, we do require that they are kept on a lead at all times whilst on the park, and that as a responsible owner, you clean up any mess they may create.
