FINNISH SAUNA
We light our authentic Finnish sauna on Saturday evenings for all to use. Otherwise you can book the Sauna area for private use on Friday nights and Saturday day. Do give us more than an hours notice, it is wood heated and it takes a while to get hot!
CAMPFIRES
We love campfires and see them as an integral part of the camping experience. Campfires bring people together at the end of the day, to cook, socialise and relax. The smell of the wood smoke at twilight and the excitement on the kids faces when the marshmallows come out are bound to set you up for a perfect night away from the city lights! We sell crates of firewood, and hire fire pits for you to use during your stay.
MUSIC
The Lower Fields are for quiet camping. We would like it to be the perfect place for children to sleep and adults to chitchat around the campfires.
On the Upper Field and near the Centre Camp we do allow you to listen and enjoy any music. But please respect your fellow campers! We want everybody to be able to enjoy their weekend without being disturbed. We ask for quiet across the whole site from 11.30pm.
Overall we are quite a sociable site, with things happening at center camp every weekend. and a public campfire to sit around for a few mins after your sauna. We have a great area for large family groups. We pride ourselves on helping new campers get the most out of the experience come and hay hello at center camp.

Two acre quiet cherry orchard site based around a Tudor Manor house 1547 that gives its name to our village. Surrounded by orchards and open countryside but within easy reach of Faversham, Whitstable and Canterbury. Pitches for tents, campervans, motorhomes and touring caravans with or without electric hook up on a level grassy site. Pets are welcome and a crew member is always around the reception or farm to help out.
The Campsite is open from 1st march until 31st October.
The local area is awash with things to do. Faversham once the busiest port in 17th century England for its wool trade has the longest complete medieval street in the country. A wealth of little shops, cafes and pubs as well as the country’s oldest family owned brewery Shepherd Neame.
Whitstable sitting just along the coast, famed for its Oysters and Sunsets is a fun beachside community bustling in the summer months and hauntingly bleak in the winter ones. The World Heritage sites of Canterbury are just a fifteen minute trip away with all its well documented history and plentiful shops and eateries.

Imagine stepping back in time to a former World War II gun battery site, built in 1941 as a defense against a possible German invasion. Purchased by my father John Button in 2009, our family has spent the last 15 years restoring the site to its former glory. We've unearthed the gun battery and Nissan huts bases, gained access to the underground plotting room, dressing station, and ammunition bunker. The journey has been exhilarating, and we've created a museum that's open for visitors most weekends. Come and witness history come to life!

Two walks over the weekend one directly from camp and the other from the Swale estuary car park, both worth it.

We had a wonderful time, the place is beautiful and quiet, away from roads and houses. Vans, campers and tents are well spaced from each other. Everybody very respectful. Facilities are great: shower and loos are immaculate, fire pits available to rent and wood to buy, pub in walking distance, and even home pizzas nights at the weekend. Location is great too, we will definitely be back!

A beautiful gem. Easily accessible from the train station if you don’t fear a 30min walk. Had the lower field all to myself, but a 5min walk to the amazing sauna and toilets. The hosts were so welcoming (felt like spending time with family!) and guests very nice and considerate of others. You could easily mingle or have some time secluded depending on what you’re looking for. I’ll definitely be back!

Clean, well equipped, great showers and toilets, washing up station was always clean and lit up at night, hosts so friendly and helpful, little shop stocked lots of great stuff, big chest freezer for communal use - I can’t fault the place. And the location is wonderful - we spent time in Whitstable, Tankerton and St Andrews Lake.

Karen and Simon are excellent hosts and always on site if needed.
Great pitches which are spacious and flat.
Great showers and washroom always clean plus laundry room and chest freezer.

Beautiful campsite with enough of a wild feel to feel remote, yet enough facilities that you feel comfortable. There’s a sauna! A nice hot sauna done properly, not like one in a gym. Wow, the sauna was lovely.
Great green views across the hills.
There was a nice lively atmosphere in the top field, and plenty of space if you fancied a quieter evening further down. A little pop up shop for essentials by the entrance, and the warmest campsite welcome from Heath and Katja.
We slept well after our sauna!

We had a fantastic weekend break at Sunnyside! Heath and Katja were very welcoming and helpful and it felt like they are building a lovely community at the site, respectful of the nature and of everyone’s experience. Very family-friendly feel, and the Finnish sauna was a great bonus too!

Just got back from a lovely night at Sunnyside Pop-Up Camping with my 2-year-old daughter and couldn’t be happier. It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot – surrounded by nature and mainly families, which gave it a really relaxed, safe atmosphere. The hosts were fantastic – friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. A perfect little escape, especially with young kids. Highly recommended!

We’ve camped a lot in the past but this was our first trip with our little fella, and safe to say it was a total success. The campsite was lovely with some stunning sunsets. It had a pub and play park 5 minutes walk away and the washing facilities on site were clean and well looked after. The campsite is within an easy drive to Whitstable, a brill little seaside town, where we spent a day and close to Faversham which was a nice market town. There was also a massive Aldi less then 10mins drive away to stock up on anything the on site shop didn’t have. The owners were very helpful and all in all it was the perfect little trip.

Fab friendly hardworking wardens & such a lovely campsite! We walked to Faversham, & when we returned later in the day we fired up the bbq & kept warm with the firepit, enjoyed the sunset & views of the cherry orchard. Toilets & showers were clean & water warm enough for me!. Appreciated the nearby field to walk dogs & the great pub within walking distance . Nothing not to like about Painters Farm, we would love to revisit!

Its old harbour and Victorian promenade have stood the test of time and now stand side-by-side with art galleries and trendy eateries and bars. Folkestone's location on the edge of the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the sunny(ish) south coast, makes camping a great way to stay here. And the growing number of excellent camping and glamping sites in the area makes finding your ideal place to stay easy.
