Furnace Brook is part of a working Ecosystem Restoration Community. Every stay supports rewilding and soil regeneration, helping wildlife and woodland return to the landscape. Guests are welcome to wander our trails, learn about the restoration work, or simply enjoy being surrounded by thriving nature.
We also brew our own small-batch Furnace Brook Beer, made with local ingredients — the perfect companion for a lakeside sunset or a cosy evening by the fire.

You will be camping amongst our own herd of Fallow Deer 🦌

Although just a 90-minute drive from South East London or a 45-minute drive to the Eurotunnel terminal, it's a wonderful natural space to unwind and watch the shy herd of deer pass by your Bell Tent!
If you want to explore the area, there is plenty to do;
🛍 The thriving town of Tenterden is a 7-minute drive, with small boutiques, pubs and a supermarket.
🏖 Camber Sands our local beach is just a 25-minute drive
⚓️ The beautiful harbour town of Rye and all its beautiful antique shops and boutiques is a 25-minute drive
🏰 Leeds Castle, Bodiam Castle and Scotney Castle are all within a 20-minute drive

Accommodation comprises 5m Bell Tents, you can choose between double or single beds, occupancy is set at 2, however, we can go to 3 on request.
There is a minimum 2-night booking.
The inside interior has a "Boho" feel to it, with sheepskin rugs, throws and Moroccan neutral pouffes, chandelier lighting and outside festoons and bunting.
All comes fully set up, equipped with Beds, Linen, Lighting, Soft Furnishing.
The lake is fresh water and is stocked with trout, if cold water lake swimming is your thing, head in or why not bring your own paddle board?
We supply 3 Firepits to be shared with 3-4 other tents, where you can cook your food or keep warm.
This is completely off grid.. and your time to get closer to nature.

Matt met us on arrival and helped carry our bags to the The Shepherds Hut which is well fitted out , nicely decorated , lovely and clean, and well equipped. Nice hot shower and towel rail. Electric fire and also a log burner should you need it for the cold weather,The bed was so so comfy and the oat biscuits and eggs were delicious !!
All windows had lovely views.

My recent glamping trip in a bell tent was absolutely great, perfectly blending tranquil nature with a comfortable double bed; soft blankets and pillows and the spacious and thoughtfully decorated bell tent ready and waiting for us. We were able to immediately relax and enjoy our surroundings. It was the perfect escape for anyone who has had a long week at work and loves camping with a touch of luxury.
The sun was shinning and it was wonderful to lie hammock! I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Beautiful spot! I love that each plot has it's own BBQ and fire pit, this really made a difference to our stay. The games are a great touch and being able to walk to the cafe for a coffee and sausage roll in the morning was the icing on the cake. Honesty box for wood and coal, drinking water, clean (flushing!) toilets and showers, everything you could need. Can't wait to come back.

We loved our stay at the hut - it was perfect! Being surrounded by the beautiful scenery at the back of the farm and waking up to the incredibly friendly sheep and horses was so nice. We had the whole site to ourselves, enjoying all the charm of camping with the bonus of luxurious touches such as an incredibly comfortable bed and a powerful shower. We had such a wonderful stay in the shepherd’s hut! Mandy greeted us when we arrived and kindly showed us to our hut, which was tucked away in a very private and peaceful spot.
The hut itself was spotless, cosy, and welcoming. We were pleasantly surprised to find oat flip biscuits waiting for us, along with coffee pods and milk — such a thoughtful touch. At night, the skies were incredible, and we loved sitting outside stargazing in complete tranquillity.
One of the highlights was meeting Timmy and Otto, the resident sheep. Timmy in particular is such a character — he loves a scratch under the chin and made us smile every day.
Throughout our stay we didn’t have a single disturbance — it was just pure peace and relaxation.
I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, charming getaway with a touch of nature and plenty of comfort. We can’t wait to come back!

It is close to a (small, not busy) road but that was only small downside.

Thank you so much to Matt and his family for a wonderful stay. The cabin was clean and we loved the little touch of the welcome gifts. We were so pleasantly surprised by the space around the cabin and the privacy we had. It was such a great space for children to run around in. It is so special that there is only one cabin as so many farms have numerous, we loved the private feel. Our only comment is that as a group of 4 adults and 1 child, we felt it was about as packed as we would like it. The bunk beds are very small for adults but we made it work.
Fabulous that there was an air fryer available. Could do with some more outdoor cooking equipment like tongs, grills and oven gloves. But we all had a great stay and would love to visit you again in the near future.

My family stayed at Hazelbank farm for a weekend. My children loved walking around the farm and exploring the wooded areas. They loved feeding the sheep and playing in the tree house. It's a lovley location very quiet and peaceful. Matt helped show us how to light the fire we really enjoyed having the fire in the evening.

Woodland glamping in Seven Sisters guide
When to go
Visiting the Seven Sisters is a popular choice for day-trippers from London, and viewpoints can get crowded in July and August. Make an early start to snag a parking spot or opt for a weekday visit out of season to enjoy the views to yourself. Camping at Seven Sisters Country Park is possible from April through October only, but some campsites within the South Downs National Park stay open year-round.
Know before you go
- The Seven Sisters cliffs are located between Seaford and Eastbourne, along the south coast of Sussex. The main access points are from Seaford to the west, or Birling Gap in the east. Parking is available at both sites.
- There is a Visitor Centre, restrooms, a café, and paid parking at the Seven Sisters Country Park. From the park, it’s a 3-mile walk or drive to reach the cliffs.
- The Seven Sisters Country Park campsite is a walk-in, tent-only ground with toilets, a cold water shower, and drinking water. You’ll need to bring a stove and all other camping gear with you.
- The cliff-top walk is exposed, so wear hiking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Coastal winds can be strong, so you might want a light jumper even in summer, and choose a hat with a neck strap.
- The cliff viewpoint at Birling Gap is wheelchair accessible.
