We are a Quiet family site, with a Reduced Noise policy from 9 pm, and Quiet Time from 10 pm to 8.30 am. Latest check in time is 8PM, unless prearranged with the campsite. We are only 13 miles from the Historic city of Lancaster, the Bright lights of Blackpool and the jubilee city of Preston. 4 miles from the first fair trade market town of Garstang and 45 mins into the Lake District. The site’s central location in the Peak District National Park means it’s a top spot for those who want to ramble or ride bikes – several circular trails leave from Tideswell and the traffic-free Monsal Trail is a five-minute drive away. What a little Derbyshire gem: back to basics Whitehouse Farm Campsite is a simple site in a most scenic setting five minutes’ drive from the pretty village of Tideswell. The site’s central location in the Peak District National Park means it’s a top spot for those who want to ramble or ride bikes – several circular trails leave from Tideswell and the traffic-free Monsal Trail is a five-minute drive away. And there’s plenty more activity if you require it too, as activity centres nearby can sort you out days of horse riding, abseiling, climbing and caving. All this activity isn’t mandatory, of course – this is an equally fine location for days pottering off to local pubs, pigging out on pudding in Bakewell or taking a leisurely stroll around the Chatsworth Estate, 20 minutes away. And if even that’s too much, you’d be welcome to spend some time loafing about on site: there’s heaps of space here, and as facilities have been kept quite minimal (just showers and toilets) there should be a good serving of peace and quiet to go with it all. Guests are welcome to light up a barbecue or campfire for cookouts and keeping warm; Tideswell’s the place for supermarket supplies, and it’s also handily got a fish and chip shop and a couple of pubs for days when your firelighting skills aren't up to much.

What a beautiful place! Everything we could possibly need was there for us on arrival; the pod was lovely and cozy and it was great to be able to sit out around the firepit in the evening. Birdsong everywhere and plenty of wildlife to see around the place. Sadly it was a bit wet to try the boat out but will have to come back on a sunnier day!

Such a great place to go camping, the owners are amazing people and are always more then happy to help with anything, they have good facilities with hot water, showers, pot washing station, cold drinking water. They also have a small nature walk on site and long meadow grass and wild flower between plots. The plots are nicely spread out with lots of room between other campers and the pots are a good size. 10/10 would highly recommend

A fabulous campsite with a real family feel. Very friendly staff, clean facilities, lovely location, great supply in the honesty shop. My children loved playing in the play area which was central to part of the campsite. This meant they could happily make friends while we could keep a watchful eye and do other things at camp. Baby ducks! You can't go wrong.

This was our 2nd time at Butt Farm, and it definitely won’t be our last. We love it. The pitches are a great size. When we first arrived our allocated pitch had a tent on it but was quickly resolved, we were given 2 pitches to choose from. There are a few bbq’s which you can borrow free and fire pits for £12 per night including wood, which I think is very reasonable. Plenty of instant hot water for washing up. Fridge and freezers free to use. Nice toilets/showers, again with plenty of instant hot water (and music playing while you shower 😍). Oh and very free range eggs (chickens are loose on the site) for £2 for 6!! Brilliant. It’s only about 40 mins walk into Beverley. There’s really nothing to not like about this site. Would highly recommend. Will definitely return.

We’ve just got back from 3 nights camping at Moss Rose. The owners are so friendly and helpful, the pitches are big and surrounded by lovely long grass. While the loos and showers are small they are very clean and shower hot and powerful. (I think there are plans to add more) The little play area in the middle is the central point for all children and great for keeping an eye on them from your pitch. The best think about the site is the lovely friendly atmosphere This was our second visit and definitely won’t be our last.

I stayed at Moss Rose as a female, first time, solo camper, and I couldn't have chosen a better place to feel completely safe, relaxed, and build confidence for future solo escapades. So much so, that after my 3rd (officially booked) night, I was so happy that Kel & Joe had space for me to stay an extra night! The site itself is just perfect for me, feels "wild" in it's beautiful rural surroundings, with pitches mown into well defined areas separated by long grasses and wildflowers - but with the amenities of clean showers, toilets, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, microwave etc. So whilst I didn't need to use any of these, I can definitely pack lighter next time I stay knowing I don't have to haul as many toiletries, cooling, and charging equipment. I definitely enjoyed browsing in, and donating to little Stan's Honesty Shack for wood, kindling and other bits and bobs - he has it all covered! As hosts, you won't find friendlier that Kel, Joe, & John. It's so apparent how much they love what they do, and how much they invest in their guests loving their experience too. I can't wait to come back, wish I'd have found this little gem of a site and of a family before the end of the season x

The space We have two Shepherd Huts totally private from each other with separate access .The huts are supplied with Luxury linens, cotton towels and bathrobes. Fully equipped bijou kitchen, induction hob, ceramic sink, microwave, fridge with ice compartment. Generous bathroom with spacious electric shower & heated towel rail. Luxurious Hypnos bed and mattress with plenty of storage. The hut offers a cosy interior with walls finished in dark blue tongue and groove paneling, an oak floor and contrasting white ceiling. Sumptuous Linwood fabrics have been used throughout on the windows and furniture. Double glazed hardwood doors and windows combined with electric thermostatically controlled heating ensure consistent comfort throughout the changing seasons. Outdoors, relax in the wood fired hot tub or sit around the fire pit sipping wine or enjoying mugs of hot chocolate whilst enjoying the wonderful views of the Teesdale countryside. we are a stone throw away from the railway walk that can take you to the neighbouring villages of Romaldkirk, or Middleton- in-Teesdale, or hop in the car and take a short drive to the picturesque market town of Barnard Castle. Guest access Cars can be parked approx 100 metres from the hut, access is from the B6277 along a private grass lane, waterproof footwear is recommended for pedestrian access during wet weather.

Simple site in the grounds of a 19th-century coaching inn Lincolnshire Wolds walks and Skegness within half an hour's drive Pub with food; a 10-minute walk from the Aviation Heritage Centre Hikes, wildlife and generous helpings of history are all dished up at The Red Lion, a simple site in the grounds of an old Lincolnshire inn. At a crossroads in the village of East Kirkby, The Red Lion has been refreshing travellers since 1841; more recently, it was a favoured watering hole for the men and women of Bomber Command in World War II, and the pub’s décor pays tribute to them. The staff are steeped in the history of the old coaching inn and the nearby airfield, and can point you towards the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, 10 minutes’ walk down the road and on the site of the former Royal Air Force base. The Red Lion makes a splendid base for aviation and wartime history buffs, with the heritage centre nearby and the displays and memorials of the International Bomber Command Centre a 45-minute drive away. As it’s on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds and around half an hour's drive from the coast, it’s also well placed for walks, stately home visits and wildlife watching. Most importantly, it’s at the back of a friendly pub (which has varied winter and summer opening days and hours, but is always closed on Mondays). It serves hot food alongside local beers and other refreshing tipples. Canine companions are welcome in the bar (it’d be nice if they bought a drink…) and on the site.
