Nestled in a quiet spot, a few miles from Bromyard and just minutes away from the breathtaking scenery of the Malvern Hills, Out to Grass is a stunning rural campsite surrounded by lush greenery nestled between Herefordshire and Worcestershire. OTG is a dog friendly site and welcomes tents and vans in a choice of 'family camping' or 'lively' fields. There are also beautiful glamping pods available and a wood fired outdoor hot tub for those craving a spot of luxury The enthusiastic OTG crew provide a warm welcome on arrival and are always happy to help where they can. The site boasts spotless facillities with hot showers and flushing toilets. OTG have received a gold award from Green Tourism for their eco and environental work Pitches are on grass with optional electric or you can forget the tent pegs and stay in one of the lovely glamping pods, equipped with bedding, electric sockets and cooking appliances. The site has an onsite bar and caterers selling fresh coffee, smoothies and hot food. There is Family Friendly music playing most weekends (and also some adult only late night camping weekends available to book). There is a communal covered fire pit with comfy sofas perfect for sitting around chatting and toasting marsh mellows. The site is also blessed with a beautiful open sky for stargazing on new moons. Fabulous site. Small, but pitches well spaced so even if there were people on all pitches it wouldn't feel busy or loud. Geodome was very comfortable with heater and proper bed. Would definitely recommend and if we were to visit the area again (possibly still lots of things in the area we didn't see/do) then we would stay here again.

The 4 of us has a great time at Knotted Routes orchard camping! We had an amazing stay and the hosts were great!! The orchard is beautiful and rustic in a quiet and beautiful area - we did a lovely walk to Ludlow through the countryside on one lf the days! Highlight of the trip being the Pizza Oven; all setup for us, we brought our own toppings, they tasted amazing! Certainly a back to basics camping trip, which was perfect for us! Thank you both!

There is plenty of space in the field, so even with other campervans there, it feels like you have privacy and room to enjoy the beautiful views. The shower and toilet block was spotless. Location is excellent. The views are stunning despite our stay being on a more overly cloudy/misty day/night. Close to Brecon town centre and easily reached by taxi both ways. Craddock Golf Course nearby was also very welcoming where we watch the 1st half of the rugby before heading into town. We did message a couple of times via Hipcamp about the pitch but didnt get a reply. However, when we arrived we were happy with the pitches available. We just picked our own and set up. Overall we were really pleased and would definitely return.

Our time on William’s land was everything we had hoped for. We wanted somewhere to get away from the busyness of Christmas for a couple of days and Oak Pod was perfect. Stayed here in December with my boyfriend and had a great time! The pods are well equipped with everything you need and the wood fired hot tub outside our pod was incredibly cosy and a nice touch. It’s a very private vibe and felt safe. Only slight downside would be if you’re looking to go on a walk in winter months, it’s very wet and muddy so be prepared.

The Cider Site is a small family run camping site, which made it feel very intimate and homely. The views are great and you feel relaxed and part of nature. We stayed right at the end of the season (the last weekend of October), so it was quiet and the Cider Bar was closed.....but we'll be back another time to sample the home made Cider :). The facilities are good - warm shower, towel rail, toilet. This site is on the border of Hereford and Abergavenny, so perfectly placed to explore either, which we did! Great location! Great find! :)

Set on a working farm, the pitches have easy access from the main A475, giving you good connections with the coast at Aberaeron (25 minutes’ drive) or the indie shops of Carmarthen (40 minutes). Glangwdi Glamping offers furnished bell tents in sight of Pen y Fan, the Brecon Beacon’s highest peak. For some, that alone will be reason enough to book but for others there are further temptations. The site is 2.5 acres. Take, for example, Glangwdi’s pygmy goats. There’s a daily opportunity to meet these little farmyard friends and there are ducks and chickens too. And, as if that’s not enough, this flat field in the foothills is just five miles from bustling Brecon and a short walk from woods, waterfalls and wild swimming. The bell tents themselves are yet another attraction. There are six; each pitched around the edge of a neat field on a family farm. Woven hazel fencing ensures a little privacy for each camping couple or family – this place is equally suited to both. Children will love the cute pygmy goats and adults… well let’s face it, they will love the pygmy goats too. But they’ll also love the fact that you can hike straight from site to the top of 886-metre Pen y Fan and its twin peak Corn Du. And who wouldn’t enjoy a campfire under the stars, in the shadow of the Beacons? The five and six metre bell tents are each kitted out with beds, bedding and log-burning stoves. Outside, each has the off-ground fire pit and outdoor seating regular glampers will have come to expect but there’s an added extra too: a private camp kitchen, that’s also canvas covered. It provides a sheltered place to cook and dine when the weather’s wet and welcome shade when this open field is bathed in summer sun. On such days, this is just the kind of scenic spot that could tempt you to stay on site all day but if you’re feeling adventurous the mountains will soon lure you away. Hiking, biking and wild swimming (try Llyn Cwm Llwch on way up top) are all on offer here. Closer by, Held Wood is a local favourite for walks with a series of small waterfalls within it. The Taff Trail offers well-signposted routes – towards the peaks in one direction or along country lanes to the market town of Brecon in the other.
