Authentic old school camping! Bring your own tent and stay in one our lovely private pitches. Our pitches are big enough to park your car and pitch a large family tent with plenty of space for sitting and BBQs. Our site is off grid so you will be provided with plenty of fresh water in containers. There are compost toilets dotted around the site which are cleaned daily and there is firewood and charcoal available to buy. We also have a little honesty shop selling a few bits and pieces that campers often forget to pack.
The mushroom farm feels more like wild camping or a pioneers camp. It is not a manicured site so we recommend bringing an airbed for a comfortable sleep.
But a positive you’ll be sharing it with wildlife – frequent visitors include songbirds, red kites, kestrels, owls, bats, lizards, frogs and toads, snakes, rabbits and hares, muntjac deer, mice, foxes, dragonflies, butterflies, moths and beetles…
The camp is set on a mushroom farm with young trees and large areas left to rewild. This means flowering thistles and uneven ground so it may not be suitable for babies, very young children or people with health conditions.
The 2025 camping season at the Mushroom farm is from Friday the 23rd of May until Sunday the 22rd of June. We are then closed for a few weeks but open again from Friday the 18th of July until Sunday the 17th of August.

My grandchildren and I have stayed at Brakehill Lodge Farm twice. It has proved to be our happy place. Peaceful, and just remote enough to escape the madding crowd.
Clare is a considerate host. She loves her home and all the nature it encompasses.

Had an incredible few days at lloyds meadow, my husband did some fishing while I relaxed and crocheted, the campsite was clean and quiet, we even caught the meteor shower on Tuesday evening along with the northern lights. Sarah was an incredible host, always checking we had everything we needed, and very friendly.

2 nights at Trawden Forest Glamping
We stayed in the Frodo pod for 2 nights, it was really a wonderful experience! The bed is soft and comfortable, and the shower is strong and nice. We love the bird house just a few meters away from our pod, we were able to see a lot of birds and squirrels during the morning, we also saw a dear! We had a fire pit night in the forest which is really cool and chill. There is a lovely welcome card with our name on it in the pod as well. We highly recommend Trawden Forest Glamping, Mark and Angie are really friendly and supportive!

We had a fantastic stay at Broadleaves. Kerry and Rupert have thought of every small detail to make the stay so comfortable. They were there to greet us and made us feel so welcome.
We stayed for 2 nights as a family of 4 with a dog and will definitely be returning.
The facilities are great quality and the location is stunning.

Lloyds meadow what a beautiful place! As soon as we got here Sarah made us feel very welcomed showing us around and explaining everything that we needed, the bell tents were so clean and cozy. I can now see why the bed is award winning as I had the best sleep ever it was so comfortable! Little touches as ringing the bell for any help and bringing us fire wood whenever we needed it made us feel at home and welcomed. Lloyds meadow is the perfect get away and I would definitely highly recommend to anyone, it’s close to Chester town and has lovely bars and cafes nearby! Cannot fault in any way! Thankyou for having us, will definitely be coming back again! P.S we also made friends with the neighbours they were very welcoming also!!! ( the ducks & goats) xxx Beth and Dec

Weekend Trip to Chilled Out Adult Only Glamping
Cannot fault our stay with Lloyds Meadow. 1st time we have glamped after years of camping and I don’t think I could go back to normal camping after such a wonderful experience here. Sarah was the best host we’ve ever had. Attentive, knowledgeable and nothing was too much to ask to ensure our stay was the best. We added the fire pit package and breakfast hamper which did not disappoint. Sitting out by the fire into the night, secluded and surrounded by nature & all of the wonderful sounds made for an unforgettable and addicting experience. (We will be back 100%)! We had a fishing peg on the stunning small lake just outside the tent entrance which also didn’t disappoint. Packed with Roach, Bream and some specimen Carp. All really good fun on light tackle. Let’s not forget the goats, who you can let out of the pen if you wish and they follow you around! What a great additional experience. There is also a pub which serves excellent food within a very short walking distance. The showers and toilets onsite were very clean & the best I’ve found on any site. Hats off to Sarah and Dan, who have created the perfect combination of real connection to nature, combined with the luxuries camping lacks sometimes. The beds in the tents are extremely comfy too. It was our first time glamping and we loved it! The yurts were lovely - comfortable and cosy, plenty of space for a family of 4. It was quite cold over the weekend but we were toasty with the log burner on. The pool was an added bonus and the restaurants onsite were excellent. We ate dinner at the the Pizza/Tapas tipi restaurant ‘Sundown’ which was fantastic, plus a great breakfast in the hotel restaurant. This was all the convenience of hotel facilities with the outdoors of the glamping site. We also had a mix up with the booking dates through Hipcamp and Ruth the host was great, called straight away to sort out and saved us some money too. We’ll be back!
