Peak District National Park is just minutes away from the city of Matlock and hosts various trails to explore like Monsal Trail or Tissington Trail. Campers can hike to their heart's content to see stunning vistas around the park. Or, cycle, birdwatch, and explore the charming villages and historic sites like Peveril Castle throughout the area, as well. Then, settle in for the night within the park at a campsite among a grass field, a state-of-the-art camping pod, a pitch with reserved parking for motorhomes, or a wild camping spot.

Dovedale

Dovedale, a scenic limestone valley near Matlock, beckons campers with its natural beauty and tranquil ambiance. Hike along the meandering River Dove, crossing stepping stones and marvelling at limestone ravines and stunning rock formations like Thorpe Cloud and Thor's Cave.
