Weekend Trip to Abberton Shepherds Hut

Lovely little weekend stay in this beautiful hut kitted with everything you would need. So peaceful, we loved waking up to the farm views and having a warm coffee in the cosy bed with the fire on ❤️☺️ There's lots of warm pubs with great food an easy walk away, a shop just 4 mins drink and loads to do nearby if you'd like to venture further.

Weekend Trip to Greenoak Hideout

We had such a lovely stay at Greenoak. The hosts were so friendly and approachable and there were lots of lovely small touches that made the yurts feel homely and comfortable. The log burners and electric blankets meant that we were warm over night and had a really comfortable sleep. We are looking forward to going in the Summer to be able to enjoy more daylight hours. The boys (4 and 7) loved all of the friendly animals and the play equipment on the land, as well as the hot tub! We will definitely book again and would recommend to our friends and family! Thank you for a lovely stay and we look forward to visiting again next year!

Weekend Trip to Greenoak Hideout

The setting was just perfect for our family of five (including two dogs and a 4 year old). The Yurt was comfortable, clean and very cosy. The private shower and toilet facilities were great, as was the hot tub. We had a trip to the local nature reserve during our stay, however think our daughter and the dogs were just as happy in the grounds with lots to explore, very friendly animals and lots of activities including trampoline and climbing walls. This was a fabulous shepherds hut with every need catered for. The craftsmanship is beautiful and all the equipment and amenities were first class. Beautifully decorated and all the local and interesting information was carefully provided in an easy to access folder. The location is absolutely stunning with lots of outdoor equipment such as seating and bbq and a pizza oven to enjoy in the hot weather. The view is stunning and the surrounding countryside has great walks and places of interest. We will hopefully return.

1 night at Abberton Shepherds Hut

Catriona’s shepherds hut is a truly brilliant glamping find! I took my six year old daughter for a two-night stay and we loved it. The hut is so cleverly designed, with everything you need. It was warm and cosy, and the beds were so comfortable. The enclosed garden is great for children, and the visits from beautiful Evie the collie dog were a highlight. We ordered a breakfast hamper too which was excellent. We did a couple of day trips - Eastnor Castle and Warwick Castle. Both very good spots with lots going on for children. My daughter and I loved our adventure - we even had a visit from the tooth fairy while we there! :-) Thank you Catriona for such a lovely stay. We can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

We have stayed in the Pheasant Lodge in this beautiful location and it was exactly what we need it. The Lodge was home to home, super clean and well equipped with everything we need it. Graham and Alison are great hosts, nothing too much trouble. The jacuzzi was amazing, perfect place to relax while watching the beautiful sunset over the canal. Yelvertoft was not too far and we loved the delicious homemade sausages from Alex's deli for our grill. We wish we could stayed a bit longer, truly enjoyed our stay.

To all the savvy readers out there, do yourselves a favor and reserve a spot at this gem of a place. Graham & Allison are the ultimate hosts, and I can't stress enough how delightful our stay was. We're definitely planning a return trip and can't wait to reunite with Allison. The hot tub was a dream, I even managed to reel in some decent-sized fish! The lodge was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Top-notch comfort all around.

We had a lovely pre-Christmas stay and would highly recommend! The yurt was beautiful inside, spotless and had all the essentials. The beds were super comfy and the electric blanket helped keep us warm in the night. Mini fridge, small dining area and plenty of blankets for the colder nights. The bathroom facilities were also spotless and we all had fantastic hot showers which were very much appreciated. Kids loved seeing the donkeys in the mornings and there were plenty of outdoor toys for them to play with. We travelled into York both days which was about a 35 minute drive. Nearby towns had plenty of takeaways etc. Would 100% visit again!
