Update we allow cars ad camper and this land has a special energy. Set in the valley with the hillside gives 360 degrees view of natural landscape. Wethersfield Eco Project is the historic parkland of Wethersfield Manor. Silas’ place is just wonderful, low tech and high touch, a great base to visit Ely and Ely’s cathedral, Cambridge and wander through the countryside. Slias is very hospitable and easy going, a ‘must meet’ if you’re in the neighbourhood!

Nicely maintained pitches and toilets are great especially if you have kids. Pitches are a good distance from each other and also large! The track to the field is a bit even so go slow but east to find and owners both very nice and easy to contact. There is a woodland bit next door which is nice to explore. No light pollution so you can see all the stars on a clear night.

Clare could not have been more hospitable, she really went above and beyond for us. The site is absolutely beautiful and the facilities and layout are brilliant. We took our 3 year old and she had a fantastic time playing, cycling her balance bike and spotting all the local wildlife including the resident ducks.
We are most definitely planing a return visit.

We had a lovely stay, left to our own devices but comfortable in the knowledge any requests where either a 20 second walk to reception or a text away. Wild camping, with access to amenities on site, a cozy couple of nights nestled within a wildflower meadow. Nicely spaced pitches, quiet nights, and freshly made pizzas on site. We will be back! 😊

I wanted a nice peaceful site that was easily accessible (the farm track to the field was a bit bumpy but my Zafira was ok) plenty of space and I got just that, there was a small wood behind me with plenty of free wood to burn, the toilets for a camp site were amazing cleaner than a lot of hotels I have stayed in, would I recommend this site definitely, would I stay here again definitely. The host met me at the house and was very pleasant and the burgers were great too, top notch.

I had an amazing stay at this campsite. The location is truly beautiful, and the whole surrounding area feels peaceful and special.
The campsite itself is like something out of a fairytale – more like a carefully maintained park than a typical campsite. Everything is exceptionally clean and clearly very well looked after.
The couple who run the place are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything you might need.
There is a great variety of pitches, so everyone can find the perfect spot – whether you prefer an open meadow, a quiet forest area, or a more park-like setting.
I enjoyed every single minute of my stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful camping experience.

A whimsically designed campground. From the layout, including wildflowers between spots, to the names of the cabins. Plenty of showers and toilets, all kept clean, with sustainability encouraged. The staff were incredibly helpful and meet you upon arrival. Easy to find. 10/10 would return!

This was a fantastic place for my first camp of the year! I only just discovered it this year and it's a great local asset to me; very convenient to get to but still feels nice and rural. Silas is a great host and I can tell he puts a lot of work and care into the site and I really look forward to returning regularly to how it develops.
I just had my hammock with me and he was really helpful and finding the best spot for me, which had a great view across the fields for an excellent sunset view. I also have to mention all the animals on the site, which really added to the atmosphere. I definitely had a fun wild camping experience without going too off-grid. I would definitely recommend it as a low-key place to unwind and enjoy.

The place is really nice and gets us away from the screen off our phones. The host is amazing and even let us try some goats milk. The goats are really relaxed as well as the donkey and shetland pony. The chickens made me laugh and it was really nice waking up to the roosters in the morning. The trees we camped next to offered some shade during the sunny day, and it is where we put the hammock to chill in. Its a really good way to get away from busy life to chill out with no distractions (other than the chickens wanting to explore around you or watching the baby goat getting the zoomies😂)

A really lovely spot with loads of animals and incredible views with walkways along the canal around the corner.
We camped in a tent for a couple nights. The host was really friendly and incredibly accommodating. Offered us free fresh eggs which were really tasty. We really enjoyed petting the donkey and goats, and had a little visitor one morning (One of the many chickens decided to check up on us). We also headed to nearby Ely and Cambridge which we took the bus.
Overall an incredibly beautiful and quiet place with an amazing host. Will definitely be coming again in the future 😁

A small, quiet campsite with clean toilets and shower facilities. Especially liked the family bathrooms for convenience and ease camping with young kids. The campsite had kitchen areas for washing up, shared fridges and charging sockets. An onsite reception sold beverages and snacks. We had a great stay (despite the 40mph winds!) and hope to return in the summer.
