A very warm welcome to our guests at Little Eden, a restful and relaxing, riverside campsite for tents and campervans with grass pitches. We’re in a great spot if you love fishing, kayaking, gorge walking, cycling, seasides, fossil hunting, wild swimming, fell running, bird watching, archaeology or even Viking history! We are 9 miles from the mystical Glastonbury Abbey and Tor and directly on a Sustrans 33 cycle path route. The River Brue runs alongside the campsite with damsel flies fluttering by and kingfishers darting back and forth. We are on the Somerset levels so the sunsets are amazing as well as night time stargazing. We have a private, wooden jetty where you can launch your own paddle board. It’s a perfect get away for campers and nature lovers. Bring your own raised BBQs and logs or buy firewood on site. A family run campsite around 30 miles south of Bristol on the banks of the River Brue, it has a relaxed vibe and we try to keep things simple and straight forward. It’s ideal for doing some day trips nearby, then lighting the BBQ and playing Frisbee (games box you are most welcome to use). Shower and toilet, drinking water, washing-up sink in garden kitchenette. Our big sister site is just 4 miles away, and the café bar at 'Wall Eden Farm' serves fantastic coffee, cake, and family-made Somerset cider. If looking for classic countryside pub meal The Duck at Burtle and The Bird at Westhay are local favourites, be sure to book! This family-friendly site is handy for walks on the Essex Way and other local footpaths, and tractor and trailer rides around the farm are organised on alternate days to give guests a glimpse into agricultural life. Activities complete for the day, it's time to chill out, and that should be easy here – all pitches have access to toilets and hot showers in a trailer close by, and firepits are provided so you can have a safe campfire (with wood available to buy on site and a great farm shop 10 minutes’ drive away for fireside snacks). Pitches themselves are large (please note only one tent per pitch is allowed), well kept and well spaced within a meadow that backs onto the River Roding. We are a family run farm situated in the beautiful Frome valley. The farm has a range of interests from the traditional Jersey milking cows to a community of workshops used by local craftsmen. The cafe serves cream teas from Easter to the end of September and pizzas are sold in evenings during the summer months. Ours is a small family run camp site with the River Frome on one side, next to the medieval buildings of Stowford Farm. The river is suitable for fishing, boating, swimming and paddling. Historic Bradford-on-Avon is only a 5 minute drive and the City of Bath 15 minutes. For those who enjoy more rural pleasures, 200 metres from the campsite Farleigh Hungerford boasts the only river swimming club in the country, and you can become an instant member for a very small fee.

Loved this beautiful campsite amid stunning local surroundings. The river was a bonus during the heatwave! Would recommend a walk to the top of Panpwnton hill too, in the shade of the trees, rewarding you with exceptional views across the valley once you reach the top. Roxanne was very helpful while being hands-off so we could get on with enjoying our stay. Even though it was a bank holiday and there were lots of guests, there was plenty of space for our two tents and the campsite was very peaceful and respectful. The facilities were great and the Offa's treats van was a nice addition, providing us with much needed ice cream and coffee. Would highly recommend this campsite!

Beautiful, well kept campsite with plenty of space for everyone to pitch where they like and for ball games in the middle of the field. Very cute and tame piglets, lambs, chickens and goats wander around which my kids loved. My youngest got to bottlefeed the newborns which he was delighted with. Morag was a welcoming host and we were able to borrow some forgotten pans and cooking equipment. Being able to collect our own firewood (which was plentiful) from the wooded area was a bonus as most campsites charge a small fortune for logs. We never had to wait long for a shower or the loo and they were always pretty clean. We stayed during a heatwave so having the river so close by was fantastic. Kids were in and out all day playing on the boats. We had a great stay here and would definitely recommend.

It's a very pretty campsite, with spacious pitches and clean facilities. There weren't many people and were quite spread out - brilliant that everyone respected the 10:30 quiet time. We brought our own SUP and were able to enjoy the river. The shady "fairy garden" saved us when it was really hot! Debs and Hannah were always happy to help and it was easy to get hold of them, nothing ever seemed too much trouble.

Weekend Trip to The Meadow @ Waples Mill

We had a lovely weekend overall and really enjoyed the atmosphere and surroundings. We had a good time and felt relaxed during our stay. There were a few things that could definitely be improved though. The toilet facilities weren't very clean — there were only two available, and I actually ended up cleaning one myself. On the second day, when temperatures reached around 36°C, there was also no water available, which was quite difficult in that heat. Drinking water availability could also be improved, and communication was a little slow as messages and calls weren't answered quickly. Despite these issues, we still enjoyed ourselves and had a nice experience overall. With some improvements to cleanliness, water supply, and communication, this place could be even better.

Plenty of land to pitch up without feeling squeezed in, even on a very busy hot bank holiday weekend. The facilities were adequate and the food van served great icecream. The town is within walking distance and has a selection on pubs and takeaways.

Beautiful site right on the river. Well spaced pitches and a wonderfully hot shower! Left to do as you please, clean facilities and easy to access. We had a fantastic time kayaking down the river and appreciated the toiletries available in the bathrooms. Would 100% stay again and very sad to have left!

1 night at Riverside Farm experience camp fire

Went here with our 2 year old and honestly it was brilliant. Worth knowing going in that it's a proper working farm - animals roam around freely and yes there's the odd bit of poo on the grass, but that's all part of it and our little one absolutely loved seeing piglets just wandering past the tent. The river was the highlight for us. It's a protected chalk stream so the water is crystal clear and really shallow - perfect for a toddler to just potter around in for hours. There are little boats to mess about with and we even spotted crayfish in there, the water is that clean. Firepits are dotted all over the site and free to use, just bring your own charcoal. Really nice in the evenings. In the mornings you can go collect eggs straight from the hens yourself which our son found fascinating. There's also forest school and organised animal activities which are a lovely touch. Morag is a really warm host. We'll definitely be back.

This was a truly unique experience that my two boys (6 and 8) loved. Morag made us feel very welcome and gave them lots of opportunities to interact up close with the animals, the rabbits and pigs being their favourites. The camp has a relaxed feel and is really welcoming of well-behaved dogs. Having a river that the kids (and dog) can play in all day was a treat in the hot weather. I would recommend taking some cooking pans because they did get taken by other campers, making them in scarce supply. This is not a luxury experience but one that certainly puts you at ease, with comfortable surroundings and all the basics you need. My boys have talked about it every day since we have been and are keen to go back.
