The location is great
The trailer is old and has no amenities. No linens, no outhouse, no shower and no electricity.
Not worth a $100 a night but it’s near the Grand Canyon

Loved the Moontrimmer. It was perfectly sized for a base camp. Beautiful views at night, lovely mornings, and just all around amazing. Great for rock hounding, bird watching, and bug admiring.
We came in right after a heavy rainfall. There are many bypasses for rutted out roads, but even these were washed out and a little hairy. We have a forester sport that did well in mud mode, but we wished we would have brought one of the wranglers. Be safe in the rainy season. Bring your propane stove if you have one, the wind is unpredictable and gusty in that area of Williams.

Hubble Hideout, Stargazing Cabin
Our experience was one we will never forget. The place was great and the stars were unforgettable! I do, however, wished that the host would have answered my texts, both, going in and also out about being completely stuck in the mud. I had voiced my concerns PRIOR to going, but was assured by host that if I followed his directions, there should be no problems. Very wrong. I ended up tearing the undercarriage off my vehicle due to having to go thru brush in order to avoid getting stuck. Thankfully, a close neighbor saw and was able to help. That was going in. Leaving was much worse as we had to be winched out of the mud by a different neighbor that heard our cries! Both times, no answer from the host. Also, a notice of abatement was posted directly in front of the place which made us feel a bit uneasy not knowing if someone would show up to lock the place up. Otherwise, it really was a great experience!

Really cute camping spot. Don’t go in expecting anything fancy but it’s adorable and cozy and worked well for me and two of my friends.

Beautiful surroundings and stars at night. Place was exactly as Tre described and what I expected. We had a chilly night but the propane heater was helpful!

The Moontrimmer was a great, off-the-grid stay! The views were incredible and it was peaceful and quiet. I would recommend a higher clearance vehicle (we were absolutely fine in a Jeep!) as the road is dirt and can have some deeper holes.
Buddy heater worked great on the night we needed it.

It was beautiful. All of it. Booked this site on my way back from Dallas to California for the eclipse so that I could stop by the Grand Canyon and it was perfect for what I needed. Stunning view of the night sky and secluded enough for conversation around the campfire. I couldn’t have been happier. Be sure to bring your own propane canister if you wish to use the heater as it may be empty. This wasn’t a problem for me as I didn’t even know there would be a heater.

Nice little place, to get away and relax. Would definitely go back again if in the area. Definitely would recommend for a quit peaceful getaway. Awesome view of the stars!!!!

If you are a hippie cowgirl, like me, or a hippie and a cow (gender to remain nameless)’person, this is the most awesome stopping point in your travels. The stars through the glass ceiling is absolutely epic! We simply adored all of the thoughtful details and the sweet little layout of the property. We saw the sun rise out of the side window, gazed at the Milky Way and played a lovely game of chess…we even drove up to The Grand Canyon to watch the sunset (easy, gorgeous drive from the property. So much peace and comfort; we will return to have more someday for sure 🫶☮️😎

The camper was adorable, clean and well stocked. There was 3 of us and room for all of us comfortably. The stars were incredible. It was pleasantly quiet. Only negative was OUR poor timing getting to the area and that was, trying to find the spot in the dark HOWEVER we did find it thanks to the host’s directions!! The location was nice and close to the Grand Canyon which was our destination.

We just retuned home from a 4-week road trip. We decided to add a spontaneous stay for stargazing at a registered dark sky site. The ability to instant book at Tre's was great because we didn't need to wait for a confirmation since our stay would be coming up in the next night or two.
Tre's communication and directions were all spot on! He went above and beyond providing alternate routs and even gave us some tips to test our our 4x4 if we were so inclined.
Unfortunately for us, there was an unexpected monsoon and it was pretty rainy during our stay. The camper roof vent started leaking water after not expecting so much rain in short bursts of down pours. Tre was quick in responding to our messages about the leaking and made suggestions on what to do for fixing. Sadly we didn't get the full potential of skies we were really hoping to see due to the cloudy weather. However, the morning sunrise was quite beautiful after the skies cleared! Due to the leaking and the rough terrain to get to the space due to the weather conditions Tre compensated us and we were very appreciative of that. I will say it would be quite difficult to get to this location without a high clearance vehicle with four wheel drive.
Even after everything, we'd still absolutely consider retuning during a different season to see the changes and give it another try. Tre certainly is a super host and I've already recommended this space to friends! We look forward to retuning one day in the future.

The bumpy roads to get there were totally manageable in my low car. Be sure to read the directions on how to get there fully-there’s an update at the bottom! It was raining when I was there so the puddles were a bit daunting, but go slow and you’ll be fine. The bed was SO comfy, and I enjoyed the book they laid out introducing the neighbors and the area. Such a peaceful evening-only wish there was a curtain for the skylight for those of us who like to sleep in. :) nothing an eye mask can’t fix.

The Moontrimmer, Stargazing Camper
The camper is just as described. Nice secluded spot, but not too far away from things to be practical. A good alternative to pricier lodging nearby. There's a food truck just a short drive away with great dining options.
We came during a new moon and the star gazing was good.
My daughter played her first ever game of checkers here. Sniff. Good times.
The single and double beds are surprisingly comfortable. I am six feet and fit into sleeping nook just fine.

This was a fun camping experience! The directions were clear to the property and we were able to make it at dusk in our Subaru Legacy. The stars were the seller! Amazing view and we were able to see stars all night!

Wonderful Camping Experience!
The cabin and land is exactly as described. There is plenty of land for the dogs to run and the stars were more beautiful than we could have hoped. The heater keeps the house very cozy even in the colder temps.

Awesome little place to stop at on your Grand Canyon road trip!
Just some advice, if you come out here in the winter time when it is snowing, do yourself a favor and drive a truck/an all-wheel drive vehicle so that you can enjoy the snow!
