Cranberry Camp is located 7 kms past the village of Pointe au Baril. It’s surrounded by Ontario native forest (the “bush”) and wetlands in the hinterlands of Georgian Bay. We love to share this beautiful part of the world with visitors! We are 3kms from Sturgeon bay Provincial Park (a nice beach!) and 3kms from the Bayfield Inlet public launch on Georgian Bay (visit the iconic pink rocks and windswept trees of Georgian Bay). We came to this area because of the fresh air and clean water. Visitors to the area should be aware that you cannot see any of the Georgian Bay coastline from the highway or roads. We highly recommend you get out on the water in a boat of some kind (there is water access near here for canoes, kayaks and other boats). We also recommend that visitors go to the French River Provincial Park to understand the unique history and culture of the area. That park is 35-40 min north from here and has a lovely small museum/interpretive centre and a footbridge over the French River. This secondary highway (ON 529) is fairly quiet and decent for cycling. It's very quiet north of the ON 529A turn-off! Cranberry Camp also has a small house, a guest lodge for retreats (we host healthy living and healthy building workshops), 2 lovely and private recreational vehicles (a 24’ Jayco and a 27’ Cougar) as well as a tiny home. All spaces are scent-free, low VOC and no WiFi. We help people create healthy homes and buildings. Hipcamp sites are accessed from hard-packed dirt/gravel driveway either perpendicular or parallel to the road. An outhouse contains a composting toilet (using the Humanure system), a solar light and jug of water for handwashing. We love to host people getting away from the city or taking exploratory road trips.

The open fields, distant horses and changing evening light create an atmosphere reminiscent of the European countryside. W-Ranch is privately owned neighbouring property and is not part of the campground. Guests are asked to respect the property boundary and enjoy the ranch views from our land. Beyond our property boundary are approximately 200 acres of adjoining Crown land, offering additional opportunities for hiking and backcountry exploration. Guests are responsible for following all applicable Crown land regulations and respecting the natural environment. Camping Areas and Privacy The campground is divided into three distinct camping areas: • Meadow • Lakeside • Shield Each area contains between one and three individual campsites. Depending on current bookings, several groups may be staying on the property at the same time. The campsites are thoughtfully spaced to provide guests with comfortable personal space and a good degree of privacy. However, booking an individual campsite does not include exclusive use of the entire 44-acre property or the lake. The lake, forest trails, Crown land access routes and certain common outdoor areas may be shared with other registered campground guests. Because the property is large and the three camping areas each have their own landscape and atmosphere, guests can normally enjoy a peaceful, spacious and uncrowded outdoor experience even when other groups are staying on the property. Guests who would like exclusive use of the entire campground for their family or group are welcome to contact the host before booking. Depending on availability, group size and specific requirements, dates and pricing for a private campground booking can be arranged separately. The Lake A secluded 10-acre inland lake borders the property and is especially beautiful during the spring and fall. There is no public road or public boat launch directly on the lake, so the setting is normally quiet and undisturbed. Although the lake cannot be reached by a public road or public boat launch, other registered campground guests may also use it. Unless exclusive use of the entire campground has been arranged in advance, the lake is not reserved for any one individual campsite or group. Lake conditions change naturally with the seasons. During the warmest part of summer—most commonly in July and August—floating aquatic vegetation and duckweed may accumulate along the shoreline closest to the campground. When this occurs, the immediate campground shoreline is not suitable for swimming or launching a boat. Clearer, more open water can generally be found approximately 150 metres farther along the shoreline. Guests whose main priority is swimming, paddling or boating should plan to use nearby Killbear Provincial Park or Georgian Bay, where excellent public water-access options are available. A 12-foot aluminum boat with a four-stroke motor may be available to rent when lake conditions permit. The rental fee is $60 per day, including fuel. Please confirm availability and lake conditions before booking the boat. Access, Shared Areas and Respect for the Land The lake is bordered by our private property and adjoining Crown land, with no public road or public boat launch directly on the water. The area is secluded and normally very quiet. However, Crown land remains publicly accessible, and several groups may be staying at the campground at the same time. Complete exclusivity of the lake, trails or property therefore cannot be guaranteed unless private use of the entire campground has been arranged with the host in advance. Please treat the lake, forest and surrounding landscape with care, follow Leave No Trace principles and leave the property as you found it. We have 4.4 acres of land on a spring fed lake. (Even though it is spring fed the water is warm for swimming.) We are located between Trout Creek and Port Loring on Hwy 522. We have 3 vintage trailers, each with a slightly different experience. Enjoy kayaking, canoeing, swimming and fishing. We also have a 4 person paddle boat. Bring water shoes if you have them. The water edge is in it's natural state. The trailers come fully equipped. You need only bring food, bedding and 1 pound propane tanks to use the small barbeque. Our property is off the electric grid. The trailers have fridges and stoves powered by propane and the lights are powered by battery recharged with solar panels. We do not at this time have running water and the toilets are clean outhouses - not stinky and disgusting. We have a couple of small docks and you can fish right from the dock. If you are a bird lover you will enjoy watching the blue heron and hearing the loons and frogs sing at night. This property often experiences spectacular sun sets. We have fire pits, books and board games.

There are two cabins now on the property, but one is brand new and private and not accessible- it will be vacant for your stay. There is also a private sauna, but is also not accessible. The cabin pictured is in the middle of a private 5-acre property across from Turtle Lake and spans turtle lake road, to Donnelly and Poke Road, so it’s easily defined by the roads around the land. There is no direct access to the lake, but there are many lakes and beaches within a short drive. There are also many quaint towns to visit, beautiful hiking trails to explore all nearby. The main floor has a pull-out double bed, and the loft has 2 sets of bunk beds, ideal for kids. The bathroom facility is a newly built very airy eco-outhouse - you will be pleasantly surprised! There is a sink to wash up, and an outdoor shower, but for now, only cold water is available. This an ideal family getaway or a romantic getaway, I look forward to hosting you!

Learn more about this land: Come and camp on beautiful Eagle Lake with approximately 120' frontage facing North. The campsites are only steps away from the water’s edge where you can enjoy stunning sunsets. Swimming, fishing and a playground are just across the road. The sites have a raised fire pit to cook your meals and a picnic table for enjoying them. We can provide firewood for $12 a bag, just ask!  These medium sites can accommodate two tents or a small camper with a total of four people. There is a shared outhouse, with flush toilets at the park across the road. Each site has water and electricity, and you can also find a WIFI signal nearby.  Eagle Lake Narrows Country Store is on the same three acre property. There you can rent boat, canoe, kayak, SUP and bicycles. Right across the road is a public beach, perfect for a relaxing day with family or friends. The public beach also is equipped with handy amenities like bathrooms, change rooms, fishing docks, and extra parking.  Eagle Lake is approximately 3 hours from Toronto, just over 4 hours from Ottawa, and less than an hour to Huntsville. Our remote off grid property in the forest east of Eagle Lake is a great place to disconnect and decompress. The roadside Bunkie sleeps 2 comfortably and can accommodate a RV trailer or tent as well. Pets are welcome.  The property has a pit toilet, and campfires are allowed in the designated pit. There is also potable water in the bin with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area. In the winter water would have to be stored inside. Linen not provided. You’ll wake up surrounded by trees and can explore the great hiking, nature viewing, atv trails and boating in the summer months. In the winter enjoy glaming in the propane heated bunkie, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snow machine trails at the door. Wildlife is all around.  Several lakes and parks are nearby, including Mikisew Provincial Park on Eagle Lake, about 20 km south, where you can go boating, paddling, or swimming and Algonquin Provincial Park is close as well with many lakes and hiking trails. Some restaurants and stores can be found in the South River, about 20 km away.

This "Cozy Cabin" sleeps 4 in beds comfortably, however someone may sleep on the couch or pitch tents on the property or by the water. Located on a 1 acre property on Magnetawan River in Dunchurch, Ontario this little piece of heaven is a separate area in front of our cottage and should be used as a "glamping experience" on water. We love to host people for time away in the fresh forest country air. Many enjoy their time here hiking, fishing or just hanging out reading a book, playing some games or relaxing. You are more than welcome to use our canoe and kayaks, just be sure to wear life jackets, your safety is a priority to us. Dunchurch is well known for its amazing trails such as the Wild Cat ATV Trail only 10 mins from the front door of the Cabin. We are happy to allow you to use the area at your leisure however, please note you must have your own ATV’s and insurance for riding recreational/motorized vehicles, we do not provide coverage for this. If you are considering guides for ATV Trail riding, please let us know. We are happy to make separate bookings for this on weekdays or even weekends. There is an Outhouse just steps from the Cozy Cabin front door to be used for your bathroom needs (just note there is no running water in either the Outhouse or the Cabin). There is a wash station beside the Outhouse for cleaning up, washing dishes or meal prep. Loads of private parking for vehicle(s), recreational toys or other. Inside the Cabin is a queen bed and twin bunks, down filled couch, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, bar size fridge and some games are included for your enjoyment. Be sure to bring along bedding (including pillow cases) and anything else you would bring along camping. Outside the Cabin is a fire pit (bring along firewood wood), charcoal bbque (bring along charcoal), waterfront/beach, a community park a min walking distance away for play time (sand volleyball court, swing set). Wifi, TV and Fire Stick provided. Wake up in the morning and enjoy your own porch with rocking chairs to watch the sun come up. We are only 30 mins to Parry Sound for all your amenities. Dunchurch also has Whitestone Lake with Public swimming, boat launch and Community Centre, LCBO, Nurses Station and Conveniences which is only 10 mins away. Whitestone is also well known for 11 lakes within a 5 km radius of the property. Just a wee reminder of what's Included/Excluded: Excluded: Life jackets, bath/kitchen towels, dishes/cups/mugs/utensils, cooking tools, paper towels, garbage bags, bedding (sheets, pillow cases, etc), cleaning supplies, charcoal for the bbque, firewood, lighters or recreational toys. . Included: Coffee maker, kettle, toaster, bar size fridge, internet, tv, fire stick, bbque (bring charcoal), private parking, fire pit (bring firewood) and complimentary use of the waterfront, kayak(s), canoe and community park. Just a reminder to bring lots of drinking water. There is a FREE fill station in Dunchurch at the side of the Community Centre if you require more, just bring along your bottles. My family and I had a wonderful time camping or glamping at Pat and Mario’s :) the lake was beautiful with all these cool little islands that were uninhabited and the kids went exploring with the many different water crafts provided. The fishing was great! Every time the kids cast a line they caught something! Pat was a lovely host and the trailer was set up with everything we needed. Would highly recommend!

Had a wonderful stay here and a great getaway spot! Everything was thoughtfully set up. Comfortable teepee, screened in gazebo, night time lighting, covered cooking area, sauna, and overall great privacy. Would definitely recommend anyone looking for a glamping experience to stay here. Carrie was an awesome host, ready to answer any questions we had. Plenty of fire wood and even supplied propane for the BBQ.

We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely stay here again. I’d happily recommend this campground to others visiting the Killarney area. The campsite itself was a great size, with generously spaced sites that provided a nice sense of privacy. While you could still see neighbouring campsites, there was enough distance between them that it never felt crowded or like people were wandering through your space. The entire property was extremely well maintained. The campsites, roads, and common areas were all very well groomed, and the washroom facilities were immaculate. Everything was clean, clearly marked, and exceptionally well cared for, which really stood out. We also appreciated the partnership with Killarney Provincial Park that allows campers to use the shower facilities there. That was a thoughtful amenity and definitely added to the overall experience. The only thing that would make the campground even better would be access to running water. That said, this is clearly advertised in advance, so we knew exactly what to expect and it wasn’t a surprise. It’s simply the one feature that, if added in the future, would make an already outstanding campground even more exceptional. Overall, this was an incredibly well-organized, peaceful, and enjoyable place to stay. We had an amazing experience and would definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to Cranberry Camp

We had a great time at Cranberry Camp! A large maple offered us plenty of shade and the rustic washroom was both pleasant and easy-to-use. Our time there was truly memorable. We got a tour of the historic restaurant, trekked through the woods to enjoy an unoccupied lake nearby, and even went on a few bike rides. Anne and her husband, Mike, were excellent hosts =)

Absolutely beautiful spot! Two of us camped at Kun’s lakeside spot and had a great time. The lake was amazing, full of wild life, and very private. I was able to bring a paddle board with me which was very convenient to get to the deeper end of the lake. But Kun also has an inflatable boat available to use which would be perfect as well. I will definitely return here!!

There is a reason the price is lower than average Hipcamp prices but I got exactly what I expected. It is a gravel drive into the bush which is perfect to stop and sleep if you're on a budget. I expected the gravel might all be overgrown with weeds but it was actually really good. I like it!
