Welcome to the cabins at Wendego Lodge on Tranquille Lake. Enjoy your 100% off-grid, rustic cabin in the middle of the BC wilderness. You are right on the lake with beautiful views and may see bald eagles, osprey and moose. This is an all-season property: swimming, boating, hiking and quadding in the SUMMER, hunting in the FALL, and ice fishing, snowmobiling (100s of km of trail right from your door) in the WINTER. All year long fish for natural rainbow trout and Kokanee. This is a rustic 100% off-grid experience! There is no electricity in the cabins and cold running water in the summer. SLEEPING: The cabin has two bedrooms separated by curtains from the living space and features: One queenTwo single bunksOne double futon HEATING/COOKING:There is a wood stove for heat and cooking and wood is supplied and cold running water in the summer months. A wood burning BBQ is available for use and a huge upright smoker for your fish haul (bring your own propane cylinder). BATHROOMS: There are no bathrooms in the cabin. Flush toilets and hot showers are available in the wash house steps away in the summer and in the lodge in the other months. ELECTRICITY: The cabins have no electricity. Please bring your own lanterns and flashlights. WATER FUN: The cabin is RIGHT ON THE WATER and in the summer we have dock for jumping off of or launching a boat. We have kayaks, floaties and paddle boards available on a first come first served basis. Boat rental with 6.5 HP motor also available for $99 a day. Ice fishing is excellent in the winter. WE PROVIDE: dishes, cups, mugs, cutlery, cooking pots and some utensils. YOU NEED TO BRING: whatever you need for sleeping (bags or blankets and sheets, pillows), food, drinking water, and personal items such as towels and toiletries. Firewood and water (from the lake) for washing is provided. There is no fridge so you will need to bring a cooler with ice for your perishables. Town is an hour away. CHECK-OUT: Please leave the cabin clean and tidy and pack out all your garbage and left-over food. ACCESS: We are located 50 km down a logging road and we advise access only by 4-wheel drive vehicles although many cars have made it in the summer. In the winter, access is an ice road. Drivable but slippery. We request that you call/email when you hit the gravel road 50 km away so we know when to expect you. You have access to the lodge property, lake, dock, trails, grass area and kayaks/floaties/paddle boards when available. Pets welcome with a $35 per pet per stay fee.

Escape to Creeksong Campground, a peaceful forested oasis tucked away in a mountain valley, where a year-round creek winds through the property. On hot Okanagan summer days, cool off in the clean mountain stream or relax in the dappled shade of the surrounding forest. Creeksong offers a simple, nature-focused camping experience for those who appreciate the quiet outdoors. Access is via a gravel road leading to four campsites nestled among mature trees, native shrubs and flora. Each site is cleared but remains rustic, with uneven, grassy, and scrubby terrain that blends naturally into the landscape. This campground is best suited for tents, campervans, motorcycles, truck campers, and mini trailers. Creeksong is not suitable for large RVs. Your hosts, Bob and Jen, provide clean, basic campsites with an outhouse and handwashing station. There are no hookups or modern amenities—just fresh mountain air, the peaceful sound of the creek, and the opportunity to unplug and reconnect with nature. Cell service is available intermittently. To help preserve the quiet, relaxing atmosphere, we do not allow parties, loud music, or campfires (due to forest fire risk). Friendly dogs are welcome in the campground and must remain on leash. Our three resident dogs also enjoy calling Creeksong home. Gas BBQs and camp stoves are permitted when used on a non-flammable surface. Located just 12 km from Lumby, and 22 km from Vernon, with the nearest gas station and café 8 km away in Lavington, Creeksong offers the feeling of peaceful seclusion while remaining within easy reach of services. The surrounding Aberdeen Plateau is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Explore mountain lakes, scenic forest trails, the stunning Bluenose Mountain viewpoint hike, or the unique geological formations of the Aberdeen Columns. These destinations are all approximately a 30-minute drive along beautiful mountain roads. As with any wilderness setting, please help keep both wildlife and campers safe by securely storing all food and garbage. We are a pack-in, pack-out campground, and garbage service is not available. We had a wonderful stay at Darcy’s place and would highly recommend it! This was our second visit to the cabin—first in early March when everything was frozen, and again in the summer—and both stays were special in their own unique ways. Darcy is an exceptional host: very responsive and genuinely goes above and beyond. He even took our boys fishing with his son, who is the same age, and they had an amazing time. We truly appreciated his kindness and effort to make our stay memorable. For future guests, we highly recommend renting Darcy’s kayaks if you don’t have your own. Gardom Lake is just a 5-minute drive away and is perfect for a full day of swimming, kayaking/canoeing, and fishing. The cabin itself is cozy and comfortable, with a great hot shower that’s especially appreciated after a day outdoors. In winter, the wood-burning stove made the space extra warm and inviting and added to the charm of the experience. Thank you, Darcy, for being such a welcoming host. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend this spot!

I loved staying at this cabin. It was private very well maintained with a new outhouse and outdoor shower. It was close to several lakes and only 5 to 10 minutes from stores if you needed anything. Darcy was super polite and there to show us everything about the cabin. The A/C was a bonus for the hot weather. My daughter loved the loft to sleep in. Like an indoor tree fort for her. We look forward to going back for another stay.

100000/10 recommend! The hosts Deb and Joe made every effort to ensure we enjoyed our stay. From thoughtful recommendations, to taking pictures for us, and even sending us over a basket of fresh garden veggies. We got engaged during our stay, something that will remain in our hearts forever. We would have it no other way!! The cottage is beautiful, well stocked, clean, and convenient for a short or longer stay as we had. The fully equipped kitchen with complimentary coffee made for a lovely touch as we are caffeine fiends. An A/C unit in the bedroom was graciously welcomed as it was peak summer heat! The property is stunning and well maintained. Lots of birds to watch while you have a coffee in the morning, from eagles to hummingbirds. Gorgeous view of the river. Speaking of, the river was clean, clear, with a slow current, all sand, and a beach on the other side of the island(easily accessible)! Truly amazing for a swim, float, and sunbathing during the hot summer weather. Many cute spots nearby in the area to grab ice cream or go on adventures. We enjoyed the Friday morning farmers market in Enderby, Margaret Falls, feeding baby cows at Farmer Johns market, and many more. Deb and Joe have cultivated the perfect paradise for a relaxing and romantic getaway as well if a slow and steady pace is your vibe (it is ours for sure!). The peace and comfort we felt during our stay was unmatched. A perfect vacation and we will absolutely be returning again.

We absolutely loved the cabin that we stayed in on Darcy and his wife's property. The cabin was perfect for small children/families. My Daughter absolutely loved the loft as well as the folding beds from the sides of the walls. So many options for sleeping arrangements. We appreciated the small air conditioner in the cabin window for the hot days. The outdoor shower was so nice after a long day. The outhouse was clean and well maintained. A note would be that you definitely need a 4x4 vehicle to get up to cabin #1 as it's a steep gravel road. Thankfully we had an SUV so it wasn't an issue. We did rent a kayak but unfortunately the weather didn't permit us to use it due to thunder and lightening. We weren't reimbursed and that would be my only qualm about this trip. Overall, we had a lovely time.

If you're looking for a place that feels more like a home than a rental, this is it! The cottage was immaculate and stocked with everything we could possibly need. It was more thoughtfully prepared than anywhere else we've booked. Little extras like bubbles and beach toys for our kids showed just how much care goes into hosting here. Deb and Joe went above and beyond, sharing homemade desserts and fresh produce straight from their garden. Their warmth made all the difference. By the end of our stay, it genuinely felt like we were visiting old friends rather than staying at a rental property. Five stars isn't enough. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
