3. Blaeberry Cabin & Chalet :) Quaint!

43km from Glacier National Park · 2 sites
Authentic Rocky Mountain Retreat Near Golden, BC Nestled in a peaceful mountain valley along the Blaeberry River, the Blaeberry Chalet and Blaeberry Cabin offer a true escape from the noise and pace of modern life. Set on a private 11-acre forested property just 20 minutes from Golden, BC, these two unique, hand-built cabins were crafted by a former Swiss owner whose alpine heritage is reflected in the craftsmanship and character of the buildings. The larger Blaeberry Chalet is constructed from logs harvested directly from the property, while the smaller Blaeberry Cabin features beautifully rough-cut milled timber, giving each structure its own distinct personality. Both cabins exude an authentic Rocky Mountain pioneer-era atmosphere while offering modern conveniences to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay. Here you'll find the kind of quiet that’s increasingly rare — star-filled night skies, fresh mountain air, mountain views, and the sounds of nature right outside your door. Wildlife sightings are common and may include deer, elk, eagles, and other native species. The Blaeberry River is less than a 1 km walk along a nearby trail, offering easy access to one of the valley’s most beautiful natural features. This property is the perfect basecamp for visitors wanting to disconnect from urban life and reconnect with nature while experiencing the spectacular scenery of British Columbia’s Rocky and Purcell mountain ranges. Whether you're visiting for adventure or relaxation, you'll experience the authentic rhythm of life in a rural BC mountain valley. Conveniently located near Golden, the property provides easy access to world-class outdoor adventures including: • Hiking in Yoho, Glacier, Kootenay, and Mount Revelstoke National Parks • Skiing and snowboarding at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort • Whitewater rafting on the Kicking Horse River • Wildlife viewing and photography • Backcountry skiing, touring, and mountain biking • Fishing, paddling, and endless outdoor exploration opportunities Whether you're seeking adventure or simply a peaceful retreat, these cabins provide a genuine Rocky Mountain experience in one of Canada’s most spectacular natural settings.
