These trails are perfect for short nature walks, where you'll experience natural wildflowers and plants, see and hear song birds, small animal wildlife and of course, farm life too. We are also located on the edge of the Eastern Ontario "Dark Sky" Area, which means we have a very nice view from the edge of our pasture of the North Sky stars on a clear night, with very minimal light pollution. Our varied collection of farm animals includes; lots of chickens, (including roosters who DO crow in the early morning hours), miniature goats, horses, a couple of barn cats, and a dog. During your stay with us you are welcome to come learn about and interact with our animals and daily farm life, if you so desire, and farm fresh eggs, maple syrup, local honey, and homemade baked goods, are also available to purchase too. A private piece of Prince Edward County! An adorable little retro styled bunkie on a private woodsy property that’s just a fifteen minute walk (or three minute drive) from a picturesque rock beach on Lake Ontario. Tucked in privately from the road out of site by a bunch of junipers and other trees located on the property. The bunkie offers a nice queen sized bed, a little area to the side with chairs and a table to relax if you need to get out of the sun/rain, and a very chill 70’s beach vibe. If the wind is just right, you will be able to hear the waves crash from the beach! The property has a perfect little hangout area where there is a nice big fire pit, patio table/chairs, as well as a portable bbq (you will just need to bring your own little Coleman propane cylinder with you.) If it’s a nice clear night, stare up to the sky and you may see the Milky Way above! There are a couple short loop trails that you can walk your dog on that loop from the bunkie/hangout area that will loop you back to either spot on the property. I just ask you to be respectful of cleaning up after your pets if you bring any. There are some pylons located in areas on the trails to indicate not to go past those any further due to it being not maintained past that those points. The land is located on probably one of the quietest roads in the County. You may see more off road vehicles if your on your way to the beach then you would cars. There is also a little outhouse located at the front of the property off to the side of the driveway. Twenty minutes from the town of Picton where you can find any amenity you require! A gorgeous town with tons of great restaurants, wineries, breweries, farm stands, artisans and shopping. Check out the rest of Prince Edward County by just adding a few more minutes to your trip in any direction to explore our other great towns around the community. So much to see and do here, lots of sightseeing, nature trails, conservation areas and don’t forget the world famous Sandbanks provincial park! (The largest sandbar beach in Canada). Perfect getaway for a couples glamping experience, solo glamping, peace, quiet, and relaxation. Or to just let loose and have a great time! There are no houses to either side of the property, so there’s no worry to be quiet 😉.

You will have total privacy for you and your guests and yours will be the only rental while you are here! There is a main cabin that is set up for two people that comes with your rental. A tranquil sanctuary of peace and solitude to soothe the soul, Simcoe Island is a bird watcher paradise, so close to the city of Kingston yet a world where time has stopped. Accommodations are a 16’ x 20’ prospector wall tent, set up with queen size deluxe air mattress, bunk bed and single cots for extra guests. We have a food prep table, dishes, frying pan and cooking pot, a small microwave, single induction cooktop, small bar fridge and a kettle and coffee maker. You can eat your meals at the picnic table inside the tent or at the outside picnic table. There is a kerosene heater for cooler nights and a wood pellet stove which will heat the tent during the winter months. An outdoor dishwashing station is available with on demand hot water. We have a basic dug privy. There are bicycles available to use to explore the island and there are 3 kayaks and 2 canoes for paddling in the sheltered channel and the lake. Fishing generally is good. Ferry toll is $10 for a return trip and the ferry from downtown Kingston to Wolfe Island is free. Linens and sleeping bags are available if requested . FALL and WINTER CAMPING at Windpsalm: Kerosene and/or wood pellets costs will be discussed prior to or upon guests arrival during the fall and winter months. The pellet stove's fan tends to be a bit noisy but it does a good job of making the tent warm and comfortable. Fen stayed in the tent in February when the overnight temperatures were -25C and the inside temperature on the back wall was 18C. Fen's grandchildren are also regular winter campers at Windpsalm. We can also provide a few sets of snowshoes and if requested a popup ice fishing hut. In the event that the snow is too deep for your vehicle, we will transport our guests to the tent in our farm John Deere Gator.

Cozy off-grid tiny house with an amazing lake view. Kiltearn on the Peak is perfect for a couple looking for a relaxing quasi-off-grid experience, but with lots of amenities to ensure comfort. Situated on a rocky peak overlooking Buck Lake (30 minutes north of Kingston, Ontario), the cabin is surrounded by forest on three sides, and has a terrific lake view from the front deck. Features include a loft with a queen bed, Wifi, soapstone propane heater, fridge, induction cooktop, kitchen sink, futon couch and a sheltered outdoor sitting area with barbeque and outdoor sink. The cabin is situated on 11 forested acres with 400 feet of shoreline and its own private bay, KOTP offers the perfect area for recreation: swimming, forest-bathing, messing around in small boats, spectacular sunsets on the deck. In the vicinity are great areas for hiking, canoeing, biking, and discovering the attractions of the Rideau canal system and the watersheds that feed it. There is excellent local food shopping in the area, and attractive small villages offer unique shopping opportunities. To get to the cabin involves a climbing 30 woodland steps up the back of the hill, and following a 200 meter path. As a quasi-off-grid tiny house, KOTP has AC power available to run the fridge, induction cooktop, other appliances and your computer. Solar power and a backup generator are also available if needed. The lights and the water pumps are 12v. The interior sink serves drinking water from 5 gallon jugs refilled from our filtered water supply at the nearby house. KOTP has a gorgeous soapstone propane heater that provides a great ambiance and comfort if the weather gets damp or chilly. On the deck outside is a propane barbeque and an outdoor sink that is fed from a 50 gallon rain barrel. We use this to do the dishes outside. The rain barrel also feeds an outdoor shower. The toilet is a composting unit that lives in the shed at the back of the cabin. A rustic path leads to the waterfront which is shared with the other cottage on the property. The waterfront features a large shallow sandy swimming area, a spacious floating dock, and access to various small watercraft including kayaks, canoes, rowboats, and Sunfish sailboats.

Our property has 2 camping cabins located on 40 acres across the road from a beautiful waterfall. Each rental has its own private outhouse, picnic table, campfire pit and solar power. An outside shower room, flush toilet and common lounge with complimentary coffee and wifi is also available on site. There are marked walking trails on the property and at nearby conservation areas. Plenty to do on the grounds and within a 30 min drive, including sightseeing Prince Edward County, or checking out historic Kingston and Belleville. Wifi is available on the grounds at the lounge and gazebo, a short walk from the cabins. We have campfire wood available on site for $10/tote. Each tote contains paper, lighter, kindling and enough firewood to last hours into the night. Simply request at check in and we will deliver it to your cabin. Lisa is a wonderful host — calm, friendly, and with great communication throughout our stay. Her hospitality and attention to comfort were amazing. She kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. It was a bit cold during our visit since there’s no electricity in the caravan, but Lisa made sure we had enough warmers to stay cozy. The propane stove worked perfectly, and the kitchen was well-equipped for making coffee and tea. We probably chose the wrong season — early fall or summer would be ideal — but the cold was still manageable for us. Overall, it was a peaceful and memorable experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Monica is fantastic host. The campsite is clean. The yellow chalet is cute. Each cottage houses have there own personalities. They have the stuff you need for cooking and fire pit. Access to the water is good. Good for swimming boating and fishing. The hiking trails are marked. Highlly recommended if you like nature away from city noises.

Weekend Trip to Glamping - Intimate Cabin & Campsites

My husband and I came here for our first wedding anniversary. We had an amazing time! Choleena and Larry were the perfect hosts- super helpful, non-intrusive and even told us we could check out at anytime on our last day. The cabin was also great, very clean and well taken care of. Super close to Perth which is a very charming town. We would certainly love to return!

Had a great time at Elizabeth's caravan. Very nice land. The host was very nice and helpful. The caravan was very comfortable. Would recommend it for sure! Beautiful drive to the property. Saw some cool wildlife and Perth is very close by for supplies or for a nice day out in a wonderful small town.

2 nights at Black Maple Farm

We stayed at Lisa and family’s stargazer bunkie for two nights in early September and it was a wonderful experience. We arrived after dark and Lisa was so helpful in making sure we found the bunkie, and always replied to messages promptly. The bunkie was well stocked, cleaned, and decorated, and we had no trouble making all the meals we had planned. It really felt like glamping, and having some time alone with Tango the horse in the night and morning felt super special. All the animals looked happy and well taken care of, were friendly and a pleasure to interact with :) Location is also great if you are planning of taking advantage of the wonderful trails at Frontenac Provincial Park.

2 nights at Silver Shores Farm

The cabin was perfectly located with gorgeous views of Silver Lake. Site was very private and well maintained. Cabin was so cute and cozy offering all the comforts for a perfect glamping experience. Gazebo offered a dry spot to enjoy meals outdoors and the firepit was our gathering spot each night. Short walk brought us to the private beach site. Absolutely loved and would recommend 100%. Judith and her son were lovely hosts!

Weekend Trip to Forest Bunkie & Yogazebo

The best part of this site was how hospitable Jo & Chris were, they checked in a few times to make sure that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The site itself was beautiful and the bunkie had everything we needed for the perfect off grid camping experience, especially the five star poop house. We also quite enjoyed getting to run around with their very cute and friendly dogs!

Camping at Juniper beach bunkie was a positive experience. The bunkie was clean and spacious, and the area of the site was quiet. There is minimal (if any) cell service so make sure you have your map downloaded in advance.
