Site 4 - Painted Warriors Ranch
Awesome AND accessible!
Our Organization, Between Friends provides programming for individuals with disabilities. One of our programs is Adventurers where we do trips around Alberta with our members.
Due to a last minute cancellation we were left scrambling for a replacement location and luckily came across Painted Warrior.
I was initally concerned about the accessibility of the camp as we had a member with an electric wheelchair, but there were no issues that were not manageable.
I want to say Tracey was able to not only accommodate our group, but they truly went above and beyond to make the trip amazing and memorable for our members.
We average about 20 trips over the summer and this was our best by far. Our Leaders came back with such a glowing report of the facility and the staff. They are already asking for me to book the space again.

Painted Warriors Ranch
Peaceful retreat
Tracey and Tim were excellent hosts! Their camp is lovely, with a cook house, big fire pit and washrooms (flushing toilets). Very quiet and peaceful. Easy setup with trapper tents in place. Just bring a sleeping bag. Would be an excellent spot for a group retreat.
