If you're bringing an RV, we can accommodate vehicles fairly long in length and the sites are pretty flat. Generators are allowed. The property is very close to the Westcountry to access quadding, fishing, hiking, swimming and much more. We are about 10 minutes north of Rocky Mtn House, Alberta Canada. Pets must be tethered and cleaned up after at all times. We offer water if needed. 110 power optional and by donation. Quality outhouse and picnic area available, but no septic. Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban. We look forward to hosting you!

They offer fresh lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, microgreens, beets, apples, oranges, pears, potatoes, peppers, eggs, honey, gelato, pies, pizzas, chips, salsa, and much more. Great store! Gives a vive that you are actually in a jungle inside of a tree house. There is a bus turned into a cabin, which will remind you of the movie “into the wild”. Great experience overall.

Staying in Poppy was a very pleasant experience! We arrived late, in the dark. We were struggling to find our spot (albeit, I did not look at the instructions carefully). Pat came to find us at the entrance, and helped escort us to our stay. They also provided some extra water (due to the water line being shut off because of cold temps) a heater and some heating bottles to keep us warm. The location is very beautiful, with some cool amenities available throughout the grounds. All in all, Geri & Pat are very welcoming, thoughtful and we would love to rent out the whole grounds in the future! Thanks again!

Loved poppy bus, had a great experience living in here as it is my dream to eventually do this. Enjoyed how there was so many hiking trails everywhere. We spent an hour or more looking and exploring. The whole place here is so much to take in. I especially loved interacting with the friendly horses. I plan to bring my extended family next spring.

For the second time this year an amazing stay at the Hideaway, made even better by host Gordon who kindly left a propane fire pit for us to use during the fire ban, lots of wildlife to be seen and the vintage trucks and farm equipment are a great touch on the walking trails, and to top it off a private fishing spot with picturesque views at the rocky lockout trail, we will be back next year.

Weekend Trip to Collinswood Retreat

This was my second time camping here and I think it’s officially my favourite campground. :) Geri and Pat are so welcoming, plus the sites are private with beautiful surroundings. This morning I saw the horses coming through the property too which was a huge bonus! With the Bowden Sunmaze close by, not to mention that this site comes with a bundle of firewood and water, I can’t recommend this place enough. With winter coming soon I hope to plan a weekend in the treehouse or other buildings soon!

Forest Glen Yurt is our answer to the requested "remote" site at Collinswood Retreat. Tucked in the woods close to the walking trails, this site is WALK IN, so pack only the essentials! There will be a wagon to assist you on the 10 minute walk from the parking area to the yurt as needed. Onsite there is an outhouse, BBQ, fire pit & food storage locker.

The sites and amenities were exactly as shown and explained on the website. We enjoyed the solitude and quietness of the site not always found in the common campground arrangement. There are some hiking trails nearby at the Crimson Lake provincial park that we enjoyed as well as taking time to read, relax and shell peanuts, once we got back to our site.
