Welcome to Goonieland. We are an off-grid Permaculture farm perched on the edge of the Rocky Mountains. We are conveniently located between Yoho and Glacier National Parks, 20 minutes from Golden BC. The sauna campground is in a meadow above our farm with mountain views and creeks nearby.
The purpose of Goonieland is to learn, practice and teach permaculture, regenerative agriculture, and natural law, while moving towards sovereignty, intentional community, and ecosystem restoration.
We open our land to our fellow freedom fighters and folks walking the road toward a regenerative future and self-responsibility. We have two tenting sites, a glampervan, a glamping bell tents (on Airbnb), with a shared wood-fired sauna!

Loved the silence in this campsite, very private, felt like the only one around for miles, the waterfalls were very pretty and a nice mountain hike as well! It was a clean site and well taken care of outhouse!

3 nights at Golden Glamping Resort
The tent was a good size (for the 2 people it was booked for), the projector was top quality and a really good addition. Ended up watching a film and some tv to fall asleep to, which was great.
The tent and bed were clean, and the utensils were sufficient for our short (3 day) stay.
As someone who doesn't camp often, I was impressed with how inoffensive the smell of a composting toilet was.
Only slight issue is that the water in the hot tub was a bit green, but appreciate that this may be caused by the water supply!
Overall a great stay, and if im back in West Canada, id definitely stay again

Dwayne’s land is awesome. He has a fire pit on each camp site and the areas are level for the tent. There’s the sound of a river, that lulls you to sleep at night. The bathroom is clean and close by. I think it’s probably one of the best hip camps I’ve ever stayed at.

I love the GlamperVan! We only stayed the night as we were passing through but I could see myself spending more time here someday. Nicole was incredibly communicative and easy to chat with. Dane, the campground manager was super friendly and helpful too which was fantastic. The place was easy to find from Golden, and once we were on the property it wasn’t hard to follow the signs to the van. The campsite was already set up for us when we arrived and had everything we could possibly need for the stay. Yes, there were lots of mosquitos but you have to expect bugs in the woods! Just a fantastic stay and a great place to get away! Thank you for having us!

The views are simply stunning, the outdoor shower with a view was gorgeous, the portable toilet was clean and the supplied cookware was everything we needed. We had 2 nights and wished we’d stayed longer. The host was also very helpful and responsive to messages. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay camping in Dwayne's land, upon arrival Dwayne showed us around the campsite, explained where to get water and gave us local recommendations. We had some great conversations about the land and checked in on us in case we needed anything, which we appreciated very much. The campsite itself is clean, peaceful and I enjoyed using the propane fire pit provided. Additionally, the outhouse was private and clean.
I do recommend bringing Deet mosquito repellent as the normal non deet repellent did not seem to do much for the relentless mosquitos.
Overall, the campsite was great, I would stay here again.

We loved the campsite. Dwayne was really helpful in explaining all the facilities on site and also gave some really good suggestions on places to visit. The campsite has all the necessary facilities, but the only downside was that the washroom has a motion sensor light that doesn't work in the morning, meaning one has to use washroom in the dark. Other than this it was a great place and would visit again.

This spot is truly a hidden gem! 10/10 will be going back. The waterfalls are absolutely beautiful, not to mention just a short beginner hike away. The stars were incredible at night and the mountains were spectacular. The sites are very well maintained, private and it’s extremely convenient as it’s only a 20 min drive to Golden. Truly a magical camping experience!!! I think everyone should take the opportunity to check this place out!
