The main shared area "The Point", is the peninsula that the main roadway ends at (where the BBQ, kayaks and canoes are), this is a shared area for us and our guests to enjoy. The Point offers a large picnic table, a propane BBQ, comfortable seating, a large rock perfect for sunbathing, and a river view. It's an ideal spot for swimming and launching canoes, kayaks, or paddle-board river excursions, thanks to its shallow entry and rocky bottom. Adventurous visitors might choose to paddle upriver, around an island, and return through the remaining historic canal. For a more strenuous workout, consider paddling up the canal to the Grenville lighthouse and then drifting all the way back to camp with the river's current. It is built on a leyline by Irish (Erin) settlers, giving it powerful energy to rejuvinate. You can also walk the cretan labyrinth, to bring balance.
catherdral tin roof cabin has enough space for dinning, entertaining and yoga, it also has a sleeping loft for 2 people, and can be used as a reading nook, bring your own sleeping bags, pillows, and towels and you are welcome to set up a tent on the outdoor camping site. There is a heated full pressure shower, compost toilet and an outdoor sink and cooking station. The site is booked for complete privacy, only one group booking at a time, so you have your own private spot in the woods. There is a fireplace in the cabin with plenty of wood. The floor is mostly nature stepping stones, hand picked from the woods. The cabin is nestled in a moss and fern magical woods with fireflies, owls, deer, and foxes. There are groomed peaceful walking trails. A sphere shaped cooking outdoor fireplace under firefly solar lights adds to the magical experience. There are wonderful activates such as fishing, kayaking (Safari Kayak) and bike trails in the local area. Go back in time and experience the rare wisdom of the sugar maple trees that are over 150 feet tall. You will never want to leave, come back and see the trees colourful splendor in the fall and in early spring we plan to have hands on maple syrup making.

He're a 1 hour away from Montréal, 45 min from Ontario border and about 20 min from the US border. The campground is Located on 153 acres of land. The Domaine de la Templerie is first and foremost a Table champêtre (farm to table). To have a rustic table, a good majority of the products served in the restaurant must come from the farm. This is why you will find on site a farm with wild boars, geese, ducks, guinea fowl, pheasants, capons, turkeys and many other animals! We transform our product at the farm and sell them at the farm too. We also have a soccer field, volleyball court and horseshoe pit.

All we ask of our visitors is: that whatever you bring in you take home with you, that you leave your campsite and the property the way you found it, and the only thing you take from here are pictures and happy memories.
All of our campsites are off-grid, un-serviced, drive-in camping. Campfire wood and recycling facilities are available on site. Maintained outhouses are available throughout the property. There is no potable water on the property so please bring your own drinking and cooking water.
Children under 12 can camp for free. When booking a campsite please only include any guests over 12 years of age in your guest count. Children under 12 do not need to be included in your booking.
Contact us to inquire about large group and event rates. We host LARPing weekends twice a month. We also have a limited number of seasonal sites available from June to September.
I love this property and all the people who visit us, many have become extended family and for this I am grateful. There is nothing nicer than to have people drop by and spend a couple of hours, a day or a weekend, sometime when I get real lucky it's for a longer period of time :-)

The main shared area "The Point", is the peninsula that the main roadway ends at (where the BBQ, kayaks and canoes are), this is a shared area for us and our guests to enjoy. The Point offers a large picnic table, a propane BBQ, comfortable seating, a large rock perfect for sunbathing, and a river view. It's an ideal spot for swimming and launching canoes, kayaks, or paddle-board river excursions, thanks to its shallow entry and rocky bottom. Adventurous visitors might choose to paddle upriver, around an island, and return through the remaining historic canal. For a more strenuous workout, consider paddling up the canal to the Grenville lighthouse and then drifting all the way back to camp with the river's current. Cabine Luciole is a heritage Sugar Maple Cabin built in the late 1800's. It is located in an mossy, old growth maple forest with towering majestic maple trees. It is built on a leyline by Irish (Erin) settlers, giving it powerful energy to rejuvinate. You can also walk the cretan labyrinth, to bring balance.
catherdral tin roof cabin has enough space for dinning, entertaining and yoga, it also has a sleeping loft for 2 people, and can be used as a reading nook, bring your own sleeping bags, pillows, and towels and you are welcome to set up a tent on the outdoor camping site. There is a heated full pressure shower, compost toilet and an outdoor sink and cooking station. The site is booked for complete privacy, only one group booking at a time, so you have your own private spot in the woods. There is a fireplace in the cabin with plenty of wood. The floor is mostly nature stepping stones, hand picked from the woods. The cabin is nestled in a moss and fern magical woods with fireflies, owls, deer, and foxes. There are groomed peaceful walking trails. A sphere shaped cooking outdoor fireplace under firefly solar lights adds to the magical experience. There are wonderful activates such as fishing, kayaking (Safari Kayak) and bike trails in the local area. Go back in time and experience the rare wisdom of the sugar maple trees that are over 150 feet tall. You will never want to leave, come back and see the trees colourful splendor in the fall and in early spring we plan to have hands on maple syrup making.

The Domaine de la Templerie is first and foremost a Table champêtre (farm to table). To have a rustic table, a good majority of the products served in the restaurant must come from the farm. This is why you will find on site a farm with wild boars, geese, ducks, guinea fowl, pheasants, capons, turkeys and many other animals! We transform our product at the farm and sell them at the farm too. We also have a soccer field, volleyball court and horseshoe pit.

All of our campsites are off-grid, un-serviced, drive-in camping. Campfire wood and recycling facilities are available on site. Maintained outhouses are available throughout the property. There is no potable water on the property so please bring your own drinking and cooking water.
Children under 12 can camp for free. When booking a campsite please only include any guests over 12 years of age in your guest count. Children under 12 do not need to be included in your booking.
Contact us to inquire about large group and event rates. We host LARPing weekends twice a month. We also have a limited number of seasonal sites available from June to September.
I love this property and all the people who visit us, many have become extended family and for this I am grateful. There is nothing nicer than to have people drop by and spend a couple of hours, a day or a weekend, sometime when I get real lucky it's for a longer period of time :-)

Rae (host) is very friendly, very attentive, and very kind and you can communicate your needs and she'll take care of them if possible. I definitely recommend their Mountain breakfast! Big portion and very delicious! We will be back again for sure.

We had a wonderful stay at Camp dans Rouge! Rae was a wonderful host, always going above and beyond to making sure we were well settled, comfortable and had a great time there!
If you’re planning on going there over the winter, don’t hesitate! The furnace warms up the cabin very well (we were toasty, also there’s a CO2 detector so no risk there), the bed was comfy, and the place equipped with everything one might need while camping and more (kitchen utensils, but also kettle, mini fridge, etc.). We definitely had a great stay and would totally be down to come back another time!

Six stars for Camp Dans Rouge! Amazing scenery, a roaring wood stove to keep you warm, and the best hospitality from Rae and her little helper. If you need a perfect mountain escape by the river, this is it. Highly recommend!

1 night at Anastasia’s Domain!
We had an amazing time at Anastasia's Domain. The cabin was super cozy and had everything we needed, plus the fire was already going when we arrived which was a nice bonus. The trail system nearby is great for some nature walks/snowshoeing and the pond was in crisp condition for some skating. We definitely intend on coming back with some friends to spend more nights here. Thanks for hosting!

I’ve visited this campground many times, and each time Brian has upgraded it to make the experience better and more efficient for campers. This visit was no differentI had a wonderful time as always. Brian made sure I had everything I needed, and he even took me on a tour to show me his new project on the property a brand new campsite that will be opening soon.
He has invested a tremendous amount of time and energy into making his land beautiful, and there’s no doubt that his campsites are among the best.

Matthew was very welcoming and a great host. The site was a nice and private spot tucked away in the wood beside a stream. The tent pad at the site was a great way to get off the ground during fall camping. Also the quality and quantity of firewood Matthew has for sale is much better than what's available at the local gas stations. The walk to the site from the parking area is also very manageable.

About a 100-200m hike into the camping spot. Be prepared for a little hike in.

We had a great time camping on Cynthia’s land! She was very accommodating and kind. Electricity, water and firewood was available at the site. Although we loved the campsite, we were a party of 5 and each site is narrow with the next site right beside, thankfully there were no other campers in the site next to us because we wouldn’t have had enough space if there were. For a party of 2, or maybe even 4, the spot would be perfect! Or if you were fortunate like us to have an empty site beside yours. There were, however, other campers 2 lots over and they were playing music, as were we, and we didn’t interfere with each other. That is to say, noise traveling is not an issue and campers can be comfortable in their site without bothering others.
Thank you for having us, we would definitely come back!

Loved this site! Incredibly picturesque, very family-friendly, plus our toddler (and we!) loved walking around the farm in the morning and meeting the sheep, donkey, pigs, and the farm dog, Whiskey. It was beautiful in fall just after the harvest, and we bought some mutton before heading out- best we've ever had. Would love to stay here again if we are in the area.

When to go
A year-round destination, Mirabel is a great place to visit whatever the season, depending on what it is you're looking to do. Sub-zero temperatures mean Quebec winter camping is primarily for adventurous campers, though many parks offer both winter sites and rustic cabins. Summer camping in Mirabel can be a very cost-effective way to stay close to Montreal at a fraction of the cost of staying in the city proper.
Know before you go
- There are tons of places to charge electric vehicles in and around Mirabel.
- Public transit can get visitors around, but life will be a lot easier and cheaper with your own car or campervan.
- Mirabel's outlet mall has a North Face store for those who might want to pick up camping bargains. A number of outdoor outfitters are also in the area.
- Most people in Montreal speak English well, but it won’t hurt to have a translation app handy on your phone.
