Heavens Acres has been a stop over since the 1850's for people travelling by horse from Toronto to Owen Sound. We have 100 acres surrounded by another 200 acres of conservation land. There is camping in the pine forest as well at the very back of the property where you will find a hardwood bush with trails. Please note that the hipcamp map shows a large body of water on the property, as does google driving maps. It is a marsh, not a lake. Google Earth shows it better. There is however, a creek and pond, but don't bring your boat. :) This is a "LEAVE NO TRACE" campsite, so please take all garbage when you leave.

Ray will keep you supplied with fresh spring water for drinking. New to this site is a solar powered string of 300 lights, two single person floats, and a hammock for your added enjoyment. There are numerous things to do within a 15 minute drive. A couple dams, 2 conservation parks, drive-in theatre, casino, horse racing, small stock car racing track (great for young kids), two local breweries, a busy local butcher and the Saugeen River. We sit on a 16 acre farm that is out in the country. We are 20 min to Markdale and Walters Falls, 30 min to Owen Sound, Durham and Flesherton, 1 hour to Collingwood and Sauble Beach. Learn more about this land: Come stay in a cozy one-room cabin! We are on a quiet and peaceful but WORKING 16 acre hobby farm. This is a one-room cabin that has hydro and a solar light if the power goes out. We have an outdoor facility (outhouse) with a camping toilet and a wash station with a little sink in it to wash up. There is the use of the BBQ on the deck with seating. There is a shared fire pit that you are more than welcome to use with firewood. We run a little hobby farm and the guests are more than welcome to interact with the animals with the guidance of the owners. We also provide an area for your horses to hang out if u are traveling with them. Wifi available. Located within 40 minutes of beautiful beaches and provincial parks, this location is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. Ample hiking, biking, and fishing opportunities are all available a short distance from the cabin. We look forward to hosting you!

My children and I loved our stay at Rick's place. Tha cabin and airplane are in great shape and nestled in the middle of the woods. Rick was a good host and everything was as we expected. The wood stove in the cabin kept us warm in mid November, and the airplane was big enough for two kids with winter sleeping bags. It was a memorable trip. Thanks, Rick.

Lovely little cabin. Well-insulated, and has a wood stove. Doesn't take much fire to warm the place up. The main cabin has three single-bed cots plus a single bed mattress in the loft, but know there is very little headroom up there. Probably more suitable for a child. There's a table and four chairs. The plane has room for an adult or a couple of kids to set up sleeping bags. Very quiet. Didn't hear a thing aside from the wind in the trees. Just what I wanted for a Hallowe'en camping weekend. The outhouse is clean and as nice as an outhouse can be. Watch out for the dogs on the way in. They're friendly cuties, but don't seem car-smart, so drive extra slowly.

This was a magical and tranquil camping escape. The waterfront spot was perfectly quiet and peaceful. The clear skies and zero light pollution provided phenomenal stargazing nightly. Chris was very generous host. He provided us an abundant and complimentary supply of firewood. It made our evenings effortless and cozy. We will definitely return!

We had an amazing stay at Carl’s place! The location is peaceful and beautifully maintained – it felt like having the whole forest to ourselves. The fall colors around the pond were absolutely stunning, and paddling there was pure calm. Everything was spotless, the hookups (including water) worked perfectly, and there was plenty of firewood ready for us. It’s a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy nature – we’d be happy to come back again!

Firstly, Rick was the best host. Informative, responsive but left us to our own devices. My partner and I were looking for somewhere functional and secluded and this property hit all the marks. We stayed there with our 3 large dogs and were able to explore trails onsite that were easily accessible and intuitive. There's also a great clearing in the marsh where we were able to catch some shooting stars! The first night we stayed in the smaller cabin, which was a dreamy little slice of rustic bliss. Second night we stayed at the unique plane crash site - overall has more space and access to the plane worked as a perfect refuge to shelter from the elements, while conveniently placed steps away from the warmth of our campfire. Clearly both sites are treated with care, clean and filled No doubt, will be back.

We (my dog Onyx & I) had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful A-frame cabin! It’s the perfect mix of cozy and peaceful, surrounded by nature and all the little details that make it feel special. The host’s kindness and hospitality truly stood out — they even gifted us some fresh raw honey and venison steak, which was such a thoughtful surprise. We also loved how dog-friendly the cabin was! Our Great Dane joined me for the trip and was welcomed with open arms (and plenty of space to stretch out). It’s not easy finding places that accommodate giant breeds so comfortably, and this one was perfect. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with warm hosts, beautiful scenery, and a truly personal touch. We can’t wait to come back!

Wadda lovely little gem! Well maintained tree lined field with wee swim able pond right there close. Campsites are visible to each other but far enough away so you can't hear the others. One outside that was a bit of a walk but clean. Will go back here
