This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community. It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night. The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead. There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company. Here is what the land offers: -Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023 -Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table -Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Joan is a wonderful host. Very thoughtful of her guests. Her land is beautiful. All of her sights are private and have a fireplace and picnic table. Her dogs Sid and Onyx are beautiful friendly dogs. We had a dog with us and they play all weekend. We are looking forward to going back within the next couple of months.

Loved our time at Joan's place. First time using hipcamp so had no idea what to expect, and it was awesome. I plan on returning many times, it is PERFECT, for cyclists who want to use it as a base camp or are through riding. Had a great time, 10/10 will return!

We had a great time there. Pedro is very welcoming. He prepared the firepit in advance. The hot tub is amazing! The shred is cozy and warm. Just make sure to bring your own kettle if you need hot water to make tea.

Your site is lit up with solar lights. Incredibly peaceful!

Renee & Randy your property is beautiful. We loved walking all your trails with our dogs. The thought you both put in to the little details like the dog library was so cute. The sunsets were gorgeous and we loved sitting on the floating dock every morning to drink our coffee. If anyone is looking for a get away weekend to disconnect this is the place to go!

3 nights at Cabinco - Northern Bruce Peninsula

The place is nice. Very quiet. One hiccup we had no hydro for the 4 days we were there. Hydro line was malfunctioning and needed a electrician to come fix it. A good thing we had our generator, extra fuel on board. Hopefully next time things will be better. Ps Not a swimming spot! just paddle boarding or kayaking if you don't mind marsh waters to get to bigger waters to swim.

Most lovely host and welcome doggies. The dogs were super friendly and well mannered. The path to the river was well marked. Well placed and thoughtful sitting spots throughout the property. I didn't use the shower... But it looked very nice. Clean washroom facilities. Would definitely return

We loved everything about Pine The Sky. It’s got everything we were looking for: private camp site, shade, potable water, hot showers, an outhouse, a sheltered tent to hang out in, and a charging station for your phones!! What more could you ask for? This hip camp is a winner. Plus the host is super friendly and makes sure you have everything you need including an urn with coffee. We can’t wait to go back !

Our stay at Bill’s riverside campsite was fantastic! The location is stunning, with the river just steps away and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The campsite was clean, well-kept, and had all the essentials we needed. What really stood out was Bill’s hospitality. He welcomed us warmly, gave helpful tips about the area, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. You can tell he takes real pride in keeping the place beautiful and making guests feel at home. Whether you want a peaceful retreat or a base for outdoor adventures, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely return!
