This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community. It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night. The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead. There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company. Here is what the land offers: -Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023 -Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table -Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Close to each other, but you'd never know it! All three are chill and serene places. We purchased this farm in 1998 from the previous farmer who had owned it since 1929. The train line ran right by the gate where the Kota hut now sits and would drop cattle right there to be finished and sold later at the Toronto Stockyards. Our barn was built in 1890 with the old farmhouse located across the creek. Two creeks meet the Grand River on our farm. The bunkie is situated north of the barn and faces Willow creek. During the summer the creek gets quite shallow but there are a couple of pools that work nicely for a float with our river tubes. The river also has a small swimming hole. The bunkie is nestled between 2 hills which creates a natural little valley. Campers can take a walk around the property or use the nearby long walking trail. New this spring, campers will be able to enjoy the firewood sauna, located close to the bunkie and nestled in a private spot near the creek.

Being avid hikers ourselves, we realize that there are not a lot of accommodations just off the Bruce Trail. So our main goal is to assist hikers as they explore the Bruce Trail. Whether you are doing the ‘end-to-end ‘ in one go (Bravo!), or doing a more relaxed multi day hike, our little bunkie will be a welcome place to lay your head at the end of the day. Our forest bunkie is nestled in the woods, a few minutes walk off the trail, and conveniently located approximately at the half way point of the Caledon Hills section. You truly feel like you are one with nature here. At night you may hear the coyotes howling in the distance or hear the local raccoons out on their nightly stroll. You have complete privacy at the bunkie. However, if you need assistance our home isn’t too far away. Please note that it is an off-grid bunkie…which means no electricity! We do have lamps available in the bunkie, however bringing your own headlamp or flashlight is recommended. There is a cute, private outhouse w/ washbasin. We have an outdoor shower a little ways away from the bunkie site, with hot water. There is a double bed in the loft. The pull out couch on the main level also can be converted to a double bed. There is no running water at bunkie, however we will have some potable water provided. You will be met upon arrival. PLEASE NOTE: *There is a strict NO fire rule anywhere on the property. *There is a hill (w/some forest stairs) that you will have to navigate to get to bunkie site. Mono Mills is 6 minutes away w/ Starbucks, Tim Hortons, gas stations, pizza. Hockley Village is 7 minutes away, with the must visit Hockley Valley General Store. Orangeville is 15 mins away for all food and supplies you may need. We can assist w/ Bruce Trail (Caledon Hills Section) pick ups/ drop offs if we are available.

The main floor has a sitting area, a small kitchen with a fridge, sink, and coffee maker, and a BBQ outside for cooking. The loft above, reached by a ladder that's part of the charm, holds a queen bed with east-facing windows. Leave the window open and let the sound of birdsong be the first thing you hear in the morning. Outside, a fire pit with red Muskoka chairs looks out over fields and a hedgerow that hums with birds and butterflies all summer. Your first fire is on us. Weekend Trip to The Pine Bunkie at Tiny Farm

If you are looking for an easy, no fuss "camping" experience this is it! Just pack your clothes and food, everything else you need is there. Having a fridge and electricity made things very easy. The bunkie is super cute and comfortable. Lovely fire pit. Nice shady site w lots of trees. Very private. We didn't see anyone all weekend...except for Max and Scout (sweet little dogs) who checked in regularly to say hi. Would definitely recommend if you're just looking to unplug and unwind without having to pack a ton of gear. Short drive into St. Mary's which has a lovely downtown area to stroll though. Wildwood conservation area is nearby if you're looking to do some hiking/biking.

Beautiful place with about 2h drive from Toronto. We come with a dog, and my puppy loves this place too! Had a lot of first time experience here, kayaking, boating, bonfire…the bunky is cozy and just the right size for two. Joan is super friendly and helpful as…well we made quite some trouble. But she came and rescue us!!!

Weekend Trip to Bruce Trail Bunkie

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the bunkie! We were doing a long hike along the Bruce trail and MJ was very flexible with our arrival and departure, and parking situation. We had a different date booked previously, but it turned out to be a very rainy weekend so we canceled and she was so accommodating with rescheduling After our long day of hiking, I was so excited to get to the bunkie and relax. I kicked off the boots and flopped into the hammock with my feet up. Perfection. We had everything we needed to cook up our dinner and have a fire and we slept like rocks. We got rained on a bit but having the bunkie to retreat to was very comfortable. Everything was amazing and we would totally recommend to everyone!

Amazing place, amazing hosts! The place was so beautifully kept and Gren&Twila were fantastic hosts. An absolutely wonderful experience. We look forward to staying there again.

Cozy, beautiful, well-stocked little bunkie with plenty of privacy and great access to nearby nature and small towns. MJ sent a very detailed orientation message beforehand including directions and local favourites. Would come back!

3 nights at Pine the Sky

This is my dog and my second time at Pine the Sky, we stayed at strawberrie fields bunkie again. I needed the space for personal reasons, but close enough to Joan if I needed something, she met me at the entrance and was extremely accomedating, I had beautiful sunsets, enjoyed very epic shower,s with hot water nice powerful shower head. As well. Enjoyed hikes around and through the pine forest on her property. My dog enjoyed the freedom to run and play with Joan the hosts dogs in the four days I was there. Nice size fire pit to enjoy and picnic table. Comfy funton on lower level, and large bed in loft. Bunkie has a heater and generator if needed I went end of May 2026, cool couple nights but I was warm without heat. Loved sitting down at the river she backs onto to absorb the beauty . Pine the sky is true to how host discribes her camp and only . I would highly recommend. Pine the Sky, and won't hesitate to go back a thired time, thanks Joan for your generouse hospitality, and to Sid and Onax for teaching my dog how to be a dog. Hunter had such fun running through the forest and into the frog pond. We will be back soon.

1 night at Bruce Trail Bunkie

Toronto is a hectic city, and when I flew in for a few days of meetings, I wanted a place to adjust to the jet lag and recover from travel, so I stayed at the bunkie and turned my phones off and slept like a log. Highly recommend this spot if you want a retreat from the city!

Great experience! We spent long weekend at the bunky. Got to do a bonfire at night. The kitchen is convenient! The trails are right across the property.. had a great time hiking. The hosts are amazing people! It was lovely chatting with them, lucy is so cute and loves pets ! All in all definitely recommend this place

We had such a wonderful stay here! The camping accommodation was clean, cozy, and very well maintained. The surroundings were peaceful and beautiful, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The hosts (Joan, Onyx and Sid) were friendly, welcoming, and made sure everything was comfortable for us. We especially loved the quiet atmosphere and how well organized everything was. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing camping getaway.

Weekend Trip to Forest Cabin

This cabin was completely secluded - you couldn't hear anything at all and was surrounded with woods. Everything you could possibly need for a relaxing and peaceful stay was provided plus more. The wood stove warmed the cabin perfectly which was extremely clean and the bed was super comfy. Gavin and Della were available via text and responded to questions immediately. My boyfriend and I would definitely go back and I've already recommended the spot to my son.

Beautiful view and really well located. MJ provided great recommendations for local restaurants and the bunkie was exactly as pictured. I stayed one night, but I wish I would have stayed a few more to explore the area further. Absolutely would recommend!
