This picturesque river property only a mile from Harriston is fantastic for the naturalist who loves the outdoors and hiking! Lovely maintained walking and biking trails on our property that we share with the local communities Greenway Trail system. Very close to many local businesses with the highlight of walking for ice cream or burgers'n fries at the Red Caboose! After one stay you will be planning on another to experience all the unique camping sites! :)
Campers can choose from six sites directly on the river, there are currently two rustic-looking outhouses on-site with another planned.
Campfires are permitted within local regulations and pets are welcome! Please be respectful of the property and other campers, alcohol is permitted, although glass bottles are discouraged Music is appreciated! Please packout all garbage and leave the campsite the same or better as found.

Welcome to our hidden oasis! We're a 2025 Canadian Hipcamp Newcomer Award Winner! Thanks to all our awesome guests! This is quite an honour, only 8 Newcomer Awards were given to the over 500,000 Hipcamp sites.
Our 14 acre property is a quiet oasis on several biking trails (G2G, Cottonwood Road, Trans Canada Trail) and a very short drive to famous Elora (7 min) and St. Jacobs (20 min), access to several Grand River launch sites, many nearby hiking trails, and countless Mennonite farmers markets with fresh produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses, and preserves.
There is really something for everyone around here.
We have a beautiful green acreage with a picturesque pond, next to Cox Creek and privacy with open and treed space and the promise of gorgeous sunsets almost every night.
We have fire pits, picnic tables, Muskoka chairs and plenty of firewood.
There is plenty of space for tents, and/or RVs.

We strive to give you a tranquil experience in a beautiful space where you can enjoy relaxing days close to nature, have space to play games, have a paddle around the pond, or seek out the many surrounding activities.
A couple notes about the property:
You may encounter property owners (that's us!) and our kids enjoying a walk with their friendly dogs unleashed, picking berries, playing a game or doing yard work near your site and around the property. We hope you don't mind. We aim to give you a lot of privacy, so we aren't going to be around all the time, don't worry. But this is a shared space, that we want to enjoy alongside you and we really hope you enjoy it as much as we do! We'll definitely say hi if we see you but we won't overstay our welcome!

Enjoy beautiful scenery and quiet camping as only 3 groups at any time and lots of spots to set up! You can camp right on the waterfront or on the upper deck area. The sites provide river access and are a great place for kayaking, there are no motorboats permitted. It truly is a " Hidden Oasis " . I really appreciated the quick response back from Laura
to my inquiries and too the suggestions she gave for things we could do in the area
during our stay. The setting could not have been nicer with large mature trees, a pond you could walk around and large clearing to gaze the stars at night fall. Comments already made about the large fire pit & welcoming large compositing outhouse and paddle boat (s) by the pond edge. Our boating Cat was absolutely
fascinated with the pond and racing around the large cedars. Lots of reviews nothing not one negative thing could be said!! Looking forward to booking time

Perfect spot! Pretty secluded from other campers and makes you feel like you found a personal secret pond to have a fire next to. We stayed at #2 and loved the smell of thyme that was growing naturally!

Weekend Trip to Kubasseks Water Front Retreat
5/5 Stars. Truly remarkable
David’s land was extremely peaceful and easily accessible. What stood out the most was how quiet and private it felt; you could actually relax and hear nature around you. The property was well kept, and the host was friendly and responsive. There’s plenty of open space for camping, a nice fire pit area, and great views (especially at sunset). Perfect spot if you’re looking to unplug for a bit.
Not a Negative, however, this property appears to have high activity of coyotes, located approximately 50 - 100 feet away from Site 2. Coyotes are fairly timid and gutless animals but be cautious if bringing pets and or little ones, as the cries and howls can be a bit overwhelming. Coins in a can is a must-have to startle them peacefully.

Beautiful location! The host is very hospitable. There is electricity and water hookups. You can bring your rv or tent! There is a little river to canoe or paddle boat on. There are trails to walk all around the property! Overall great time will be back next year for a longer visit! One note, if you're bringing an animal make sure you clean their paws lol the ground has sand mixed with grass.

This was a great location, really beautiful spot. It's secluded and quiet and they included some firewood to start which was really nice.
The pond was smaller than expected, and we were hoping it had some fish but I think there was only 1 or two smaller fish in there. They have a paddleboat there which was nice and a small floating dock.
Grass was cut very well and property maintained well, the drive in was pleasant. Instructions were sent clearly. Bathroom was clean and it was nice that they were selling firewood for a really affordable price.

We had an absolutely perfect camping experience at this spot! The scenery was breathtaking, serene views, and a peaceful vibe that made it hard to leave. Josh, our host, was phenomenal. He was incredibly helpful, quick to respond to all our messages, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The site was well-maintained, and the whole experience felt seamless. We’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful, stress-free camping getaway.

It's a nice and scereen spot with lots of space. I wish I could have stayed a few days longer to just sit by the pond and play with fire lol.
The host was really nice!
He checked in on us all and was very accommodating.
The bridge being out dosent show up on Google maps so pay close attention to the instructions to get there quicker.

We had an amazing time camping at Josh’s beautiful property — it’s truly a hidden gem! The land is massive, with forests, farmland, and a peaceful creek running through it. Josh was kind enough to upgrade us to a creekside campsite, which turned out to be absolutely perfect — spacious, scenic, and shaded by gorgeous willow and maple trees. Having a picnic table and fire pit provided made it even better; relaxing by the fire at night was pure bliss. The outhouse is super convenient and clean.
Even though we arrived later than planned and didn’t get to meet Josh in person, his son Riley took wonderful care of us. He was incredibly welcoming — he welcomed us with some cold beers, gave us a full tour of the property, and even showed us their private woods where we spotted wild mushrooms and local wildlife.
As nature lovers, we couldn’t have asked for more. The combination of beautiful surroundings, warm hospitality, and peaceful atmosphere made this one of our best camping experiences. We’ll definitely be coming back again for a longer stay to explore more of this little paradise.
