Heavens Acres has been a stop over since the 1850's for people travelling by horse from Toronto to Owen Sound. We have 100 acres surrounded by another 200 acres of conservation land. There is camping in the pine forest as well at the very back of the property where you will find a hardwood bush with trails. Please note that the hipcamp map shows a large body of water on the property, as does google driving maps. It is a marsh, not a lake. Google Earth shows it better. There is however, a creek and pond, but don't bring your boat. :) This is a "LEAVE NO TRACE" campsite, so please take all garbage when you leave.

It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night. The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead. The land is framed by the historic Bruce Trail to the north, Billy Bishop airport (only a few small prop-private flights daily) to the west, Concession 6 N on the East, and Highway 26 on the south end of the property. There is a forest on the north end of our land where the bruce trail runs through (C) and the farm sits more to the south end (A). There's a pine-forest that one has to hike into (B- see map in photos). Generally, the area is close to swimming in Lake Huron, the property is large (100 hectares) and the neighborhood is large grain. This means you can have a chunk of the forest all to yourself. For area A you can drive in the main driveway and park by the house/ barn or on the field. Or walk to a camping spot. No 4 wheel drive is necessary. Please stay away from the Barn as it is dangerous to be close by. For area C you can access the fields from Concession 6 N at one of the gates past (North) of the driveway. You will need a 4-wheel drive to not get stuck in the field. Please do not park on the agricultural field. For area B You will park your car behind a gate right off Highway 26 and hike in to find a site to pitch a tent. There are about 3 spots for cars behind the first set of Pines. You might need a 4-wheel drive. It's completely up to you where you set up camp. We ask that you do not light any open fires as this is a coniferous forest. Feel free to walk in as far you want to find your spot. If you walk too far you will come up to a field and the farmhouse. We ask that you do not camp on the agricultural fields.

Learn more about this land: !!!!!!ONLY area A is still available to camp on!!!! The land is framed by the historic Bruce Trail to the north, Billy Bishop airport (only a few small prop-private flights daily) to the west, Concession 6 N on the East, and Highway 26 on the south end of the property. There is a forest on the north end of our land where the bruce trail runs through (C) and the farm sits more to the south end (A). There's a pine-forest that one has to hike into (B- see map in photos). Generally, the area is close to swimming in Lake Huron, the property is large (100 hectares) and the neighborhood is large grain. This means you can have a chunk of the forest all to yourself. For area A you can drive in the main driveway and park by the house/ barn or on the field. Or walk to a camping spot. No 4 wheel drive is necessary. Please stay away from the Barn as it is dangerous to be close by. For area C you can access the fields from Concession 6 N at one of the gates past (North) of the driveway. You will need a 4-wheel drive to not get stuck in the field. Please do not park on the agricultural field. For area B You will park your car behind a gate right off Highway 26 and hike in to find a site to pitch a tent. There are about 3 spots for cars behind the first set of Pines. You might need a 4-wheel drive. It's completely up to you where you set up camp. We ask that you do not light any open fires as this is a coniferous forest. Feel free to walk in as far you want to find your spot. If you walk too far you will come up to a field and the farmhouse. We ask that you do not camp on the agricultural fields.

This is our beloved property, steps from Lake Huron. The Cottage is centrally located in a close-knit cottage community. Great for the kids! Only a 2-minute walk to the beach, small neighbourhood park, boat launch and fishing. Three bedroom cottage wtih bunk room that's great for kids and two full bathrooms (one just renovated!) Open concept living room, great to cozy up and watch a movie. Fully equiped kitchen with everything you need to cook for a family, and a dining room or deck with table for meals. Beautiful wrap around deck with seating and view of backyard and firepit. Wood and kindling provided for fire pit. BBQ on the deck for cook outs. 15 min drive into either Port Elgin or Kindcardine for anything you could need.

My children and I loved our stay at Rick's place. Tha cabin and airplane are in great shape and nestled in the middle of the woods. Rick was a good host and everything was as we expected. The wood stove in the cabin kept us warm in mid November, and the airplane was big enough for two kids with winter sleeping bags. It was a memorable trip. Thanks, Rick.

Lovely little cabin. Well-insulated, and has a wood stove. Doesn't take much fire to warm the place up. The main cabin has three single-bed cots plus a single bed mattress in the loft, but know there is very little headroom up there. Probably more suitable for a child. There's a table and four chairs. The plane has room for an adult or a couple of kids to set up sleeping bags. Very quiet. Didn't hear a thing aside from the wind in the trees. Just what I wanted for a Hallowe'en camping weekend. The outhouse is clean and as nice as an outhouse can be. Watch out for the dogs on the way in. They're friendly cuties, but don't seem car-smart, so drive extra slowly.

This was a magical and tranquil camping escape. The waterfront spot was perfectly quiet and peaceful. The clear skies and zero light pollution provided phenomenal stargazing nightly. Chris was very generous host. He provided us an abundant and complimentary supply of firewood. It made our evenings effortless and cozy. We will definitely return!

We had an amazing stay at Carl’s place! The location is peaceful and beautifully maintained – it felt like having the whole forest to ourselves. The fall colors around the pond were absolutely stunning, and paddling there was pure calm. Everything was spotless, the hookups (including water) worked perfectly, and there was plenty of firewood ready for us. It’s a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy nature – we’d be happy to come back again!

Firstly, Rick was the best host. Informative, responsive but left us to our own devices. My partner and I were looking for somewhere functional and secluded and this property hit all the marks. We stayed there with our 3 large dogs and were able to explore trails onsite that were easily accessible and intuitive. There's also a great clearing in the marsh where we were able to catch some shooting stars! The first night we stayed in the smaller cabin, which was a dreamy little slice of rustic bliss. Second night we stayed at the unique plane crash site - overall has more space and access to the plane worked as a perfect refuge to shelter from the elements, while conveniently placed steps away from the warmth of our campfire. Clearly both sites are treated with care, clean and filled No doubt, will be back.

My partner and I stayed at Emily’s Yurt this past thanksgiving weekend 2025 as a last minute booking. Emily accommodated our stay and was very quick to respond. The yurt was stunning, we’ve stayed at many hip camps and this was by far the best experience. From a eco friendly outhouse with a wood chip system, very clean and well stocked with necessities. The yurt had all supplies needed, along with many games and other activities to do. Can’t thank Emily enough for sharing her beautiful property and being so welcoming.

Wadda lovely little gem! Well maintained tree lined field with wee swim able pond right there close. Campsites are visible to each other but far enough away so you can't hear the others. One outside that was a bit of a walk but clean. Will go back here
