We had a such a great 2 nights at Riverview. David was waiting for us upon arrival, which was great for me and my 2 kids. I recommend the Glamping bundle- we were later arrivals and earlier departure, so it was nice to not have to set up and dismantle a tent. Perfect site for the kids and dog!! Will definitely be back.

Great peaceful, clean site, perfect for touring the Huron area of places like Port Elgin, Kincardine and Goderich. Wide open space with a large amount of room for each pitch. Great communication with our hosts and will hopefully be back to explore some more.

We had the best weekend at Shelley's Hawkins Retreat. Hawkins Retreat is situated in a wood lot surrounded by waving fields of corn. The two camping sites were beautifully maintained and located on trimmed grass each with a firepit and outhouse. Free firewood is thoughtfully provided. The Port Albert public beach on Lake Huron is 10 minutes away and quite lovely. Spent the day there and met a nice couple, Josh and Steph who it turned out were camping at the second Hawkins Retreat camp site. Wish we were there for longer and definitely plan to return someday soon. Thanks Shelley for a memorable weekend!

My second time to camp at Monarch Meadows Tree Farm these summer, brought my family 21/2 grand daughter and a dog what else to say we all “LOVE IT” we had so much fun, played games, guys went fishing for hours. Storm on our first night but nothing stop us, like my husband said its camping lol, but the best of all star gazing the moon is out so beautiful.
David was so accomodating he will help you in every way to make you feel home, and his daughter who was with him on the day we arrived shes a sweetie.
Definitely were going back to camp again, its peaceful place to enjoy time with family and life in nature.

The owners are lovely and were very nice. The river was not swimmable and locals said they don't swim in it as it's too green and filled with goose poop. But it is wonderful to live beside as nature is alive and beautiful. The outdoor kitchen was lovely although I didn't cook there. But there's an actual small oven. And it was nice to have the sink to brush my teeth and wash dishes. The kitchen is well equipped with cooking pots annd utensils and essentials like oil and salt etc. There is a pit toilet that worked well. Also a fire pit but I was there during a fire ban. My main purpose was to go to the theatre in nearby Stratford. And hotels are so expensive. And this is about 20 min away. So u went from tent to theatre. Win win! Would recommend this independent campsite for sure.

Matt was a wonderful host!! He met us at the site and shared some tidbits about the area. The sites were close but with the trees between them and how spacious they were it felt very secluded. The bathroom was a very clean portapotty not far from the camp.
Some talked about the noise from the road, but it was very minimal and barely able to be heard over the sound of the wildlife.
