Offering a serviced camping site for tents for up to 4 persons, with a firepit, two hammock chairs, rustic toilet, cold (sun-warmed) shower in season, a large deck with bar-height table and two chairs, four lawn chairs, floating dock, garbage and recycling bins, canoe and private 1.5 acre lake! Parking is right at the campsite, following a 400m tractorway over grass. This tractorway enters and exits onto the county road independent of the host’s private home driveway.
Our small, bio-diverse farm is in a quiet location but only 10km from shops and cafes. Our property is run with minimal chemical inputs. The lake supports fish, turtles, thousands of tree frogs in the spring, and musk rat, woodland ducks, and heron. You may also see rare bobolinks, barn swallows, and bats in summer. Star gazing is very good, there is very little light pollution. Tall poplar trees provide shade and shelter as well as pleasant sounds of the wind.
Footwear is advised. Conditions underfoot are usually good, we do try to keep poison ivy in check but it does pop up here and there.

Second time staying here and just as wonderful as the first. Sara and Mark were available for any needs and are really friendly, they want you to really enjoy your time there. It shows from all of the extras they have set up, from free firewood to a 5gallon container of drinking water, well kept campsite, and hammock chairs to relax in. It's like a little peace of heaven.

Stayed at this site over the weekend and can't say enough about how peaceful it was. The hosts were kind and accommodating. Sarah and Mark thought of all the details one might need when camping. I didn't have to bring anything for the BBQ or campfire, it was all provided. 5 gallon water for drinking and washing dishes. Outhouse right at campsite. There is a pond with a canoe which was nice to use. Their dogs Honey and Maple stopped by for a visit on their walks, they are adorable! The campsite is at the back of their farm so you pass by ducks and horses along the way. They checked in through the stay to see if I needed anything. There are 2 hammock chairs which were great to relax on. Anyone looking for a relaxing, laid back time to refresh, this is the place. I will definitely return and recommend this place.

Always a pleasure to visit this spot, and to spend time with Honey and Maple.
Chris and Sara are awesome and have always been what I would consider the top of the line kind of hosts.
You could never ask for more and the value can not be beat and to find out we went there to celebrate my birthday to find out it was Sara's birthday legendary.

Great little community. I was only there 8 hours and everyone was super friendly. I arrived after 8p, set up my tent in their open space between two RVs, used their facilities and slept soundly. My dog was welcomed, too.

What an amazing weekend. Everything was supplied for us, the spot was perfect with firewood, drinking water, cooking and shower areas were excellent, canoe and paddles and life jackets, lovely dock for watching the fireflies and the bugs were not too bad! Would definitely re-book this spot.

We had a wonderful three night stay at Chris' place this week! It was our first HipCamp experience and we were blown away. There's loads of room for your tents, a huge fire pit, the, most comfortable hammock chairs, a BBQ with propane, a shower, firewood, kindling and even matches! That's not including all the little touches like the solar powered lights to help you find your way at night, the container with paper towels and dish towels, the sunscreen and extra toilet paper in the outhouse and more.
As soon as we set up, we went to explore the pond as the main impetus for booking the site was the canoe. We enjoyed checking out the turtles and frogs and caught a bajillion bluegills. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any bigger fish in the pond so if you're looking for that, you'll have to find it elsewhere.
The site feels very remote even though you're relatively close to the residence. There is some noise from the small highway it's located on.

We had such a lovely time. Sara is a great host including her two furry babies plus greetings from the horses everytime we passed by at their stables.
Its wonderful place to connect with mother nature. Star gazing at night and best of all fireflies flying all over such a magical place.

Thank you to Sara and Mark for great instructions and follow up message before arrival, the thoughtful touches like the wooden signage and firewood explanation, BBQ supplies, amenities especially the rainfall outdoor shower, amazing deck and seating to dine at with sunset views, the canoe to fully explore and go fishing at the pond.
Incredibly lovely time paddling around in canoe, fishing from the dock, relaxing on the deck listening to the trees and the rare experience of a morning sunrise shower to refresh and start the day were highlights.

They have everything you need right at your campsite. The private deck overlooks the lake that is on their property. The fire pit, table and chairs, swing chairs, canoe, deck, shower, barbeque, fire wood and outhouse are all right at the camp site. It has everything you need in one spot, no need to leave for anything. It was a truly peaceful stay nestled in nature and the property is immaculate.
