Imagine having your own island you reach by walking across the 15 metre bridge with a few areas to set up your tent(s) from where you'll fall asleep listening to the sound of the spring flowing into the pond, what bliss. The other site has a large rectangular pond of its own to ensure everyone has privacy. Your drinking water comes from Mother Nature, not a well, true spring water that's icy cold and so refreshing.. There are two spring fed ponds which makes them revitalizing on a hot day when you go for a swim. We are located 10 minutes away from the town of Hanover and the Allan Park Conservation is right beside us and has numerous walking and off road bicycling trails. The Saugeen River is 5 minutes away which you can kayak or tube down, too much fun that is. Our property offers beautiful scenery, virtual privacy, you see glimpses of our home, peace and tranquility with the backdrop of Mother Nature to be heard, geese, wild turkeys, deer, lots of songbirds, coyotes and oh yes, our big friendly lovable er be spectaular and later the stars twinkle above and maybe you'll even see a satellite high above while you're stargazing. Each site has a table (you'll need to bring lawn chairs), firepit with a cooking grill, and a supply of wood you'll have to purchase from us upon arrival, as we are a forestry managed property. An outhouse is a pleasant walk within minutes of the site. Water for dishes and general washing can just be taken from the pond (DO NOT DRINK) Not that it would kill you, lol. Ray will keep you supplied with fresh spring water for drinking. New to this site is a solar powered string of 300 lights, two single person floats, and a hammock for your added enjoyment. There are numerous things to do within a 15 minute drive. A couple dams, 2 conservation parks, drive-in theatre, casino, horse racing, small stock car racing track (great for young kids), two local breweries, a busy local butcher and the Saugeen River. Amazing experience. Me and my partner stayed for three days in early September and it was such a cozy and comfortable stay. Is clean private and perfect for people that love the outdoors. Indoor wood fire was a great way to stay warm and made for amazing ambiance. Jake made the experience super easy and I would go back in a heartbeat.

My partner and I took a long weekend and stayed at the cedar creek cabin site. Upon arrival we met with both randy and Renee, they welcomed us and showed us the way via atv. (We followed in our car) they led us through a river (only ankle drop at that spot) and over a smaller creek which our car had no issues doing. Upon entering our site, we were astounded at how large of an area our campsite was! It was huge! And everything was provided for us except our food, and extra firewood which we were able to buy as we needed. There were many trails we could explore, and along the main road, there were places you could leave your name, and a dog library (take a stick, leave a stick) We brought our almost 11 year old lab who loved every moment of it! We also brought our bird, who also loved being in a new location. The property is huge, the other campers were very friendly, and I have no complaints! The weather was cold at night, but we were told ahead of time to bring extra blankets which we did! The extra care that is put into this by randy and Renee, is outstanding! I totally recommend you to this place.

We loved the spacious camping site by the swimming pond onTerry and Rays 50 acre property! Certainly a hidden gem with great hosts to boot! Our two Golden Retrievers had a blast playing in the water and running all around the huge site. The site is secluded and would easily accommodate a huge group of people. This is a very quiet and private spot for a tent, camper or even a small group of campers. The host is very helpful and brought firewood for us, made sure we knew where to get drinking water, collected the garbage and recyclables and gave us information about local summer events that were happening in the area.

Me and my son really enjoyed ourselves for 3 nights on the island. I've been camping most of my life and this place is definitely one of the best. Not just because of the site or the views or the quiet but the hosts Ray and Terry. Everyday they would visit us with their 2 so friendly dogs Hunter and Walker to see if everything was ok. And everything was more than I expected. They bring fresh spring water and the firewood is there under plastic so it's always dry. There's even cooking utensils in case you didn't bring your own! Not only that but they have fishing rods and lures you are free to use! At night we were surprised when stringed solar lights came on surounding the campfire area! Where are you going to find a campsite like that? Lots of trails to hike and explore as well. There's lots of space to put several tents as well. And there's lots of shaded areas if you like to have time out of the sun. Ray and Terry have done a tremendous amount of work and have thought of everything to make sure you enjoy your entire time there. We are absolutely returning next year. Thank you Ray and Terry. Looking forward to seeing you again!😊

Awesome campsite, views are like from a painting, beautiful and clean. This is our 3rd time camping on Terry’s campsites, and hopefully there will be more. Every time like first - clean, comfy and extremely peaceful. We saw turtles, caught fish (there are some big ones too). Terry and Ray are always kind and friendly. I do recommend to visit this place at least once! A real piece of heaven!

If you're looking for a awsome getaway, Island Oasis is the place to be. The views of the water are amazing especially at sunset by the fire. Everything was well maintained and clean. The spring water ponds was just the right amount of cold and refreshing on those hot days. We spent hours just floating in the water. Hosts are amazing, We left feeling refreshed and already planning our next trip back.

Jake was a great host! He was friendly and showed us around the chalet when we first arrived. The chalet was very well maintained with all the basic amenities needed for glamping. The site was very private and the property was beautiful. We brought our dog along and he had the time of his life being able to be off leash the entire time. Highly recommend, we will be returning.

R&R was such a restful time ☺️ the pond is crystal clear, it was like looking into a whole other world as a rowed across the water. The bunkie is secure, clean and slightly bigger than I expected. Renee & Randy we're wonderful hosts and extremely happy to assist if needed! There wasn't any reception for me and the river crossing is something to inquire about if your vehicle is low riding. I can definitely see myself visiting again ☺️

With three large windows, a dome skylight, and wool felt insulation, the yurt provides a wonderful "glamping" experience. There is a double bed and a single bed in the yurt along with a cooler, table, chairs, and storage space. In the future there will be solar power, but right now the lighting available is by a battery powered lantern (provided). Next to the yurt is a picnic table, fire pit, and a sawdust toilet. There are basic utensils, plates, bowls, pots and pans available in the yurt. Bring your own: camp stove, water, bedding, pillows Important to Note: The only heating source is a wood stove. You need to be comfortable using a wood stove safely to stay at this yurt. The bush area has been used for camping by many local and visiting scouting groups over the years. In 2021, we joined Hip Camp and now allow others to enjoy the beauty, peace, and challenges of camping in our bush. The alpacas are a peaceful herd to watch as they graze their way through the day.
