Heavens Acres has been a stop over since the 1850's for people travelling by horse from Toronto to Owen Sound. We have 100 acres surrounded by another 200 acres of conservation land. There is camping in the pine forest as well at the very back of the property where you will find a hardwood bush with trails. Please note that the hipcamp map shows a large body of water on the property, as does google driving maps. It is a marsh, not a lake. Google Earth shows it better. There is however, a creek and pond, but don't bring your boat. :) This is a "LEAVE NO TRACE" campsite, so please take all garbage when you leave. Please note that in the winter months. There’s a $25 surcharge. This is required for snow removal to access the sites that are at at least 1 km into the bush. We are in a snow belt area and it is very difficult to keep the sites open in the winter. Four-wheel-drive is required for access in the winter!

This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community. It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night. The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead. There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company. Here is what the land offers: -Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023 -Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table -Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. We are close to numerous quaint Ontario towns and villages offering shops, bakeries, restaurants and more. The Saugeen River is located very close to the properties and you can rent kayaks in Paisley and go down the river towards Lake Huron. Lake Huron is a pristine great lake and we offer great beaches within 20 minute drive... Our settings are perfect for small or large gatherings and are private and secluded. Unfortunately we do not offer water, septic or hydro so your trailer needs to be self sustaining. TRAILERS and MOTORHOMES are the preferred method of camping. It is being used for Boondocking, weddings, mediation and yoga retreats and we look forward to hosting you also soon. We are pet friendly...so bring your four legged family members too!

We are close to numerous quaint Ontario towns and villages offering shops, bakeries, restaurants and more. The Saugeen River is located very close to the properties and you can rent kayaks in Paisley and go down the river towards Lake Huron. Lake Huron is a pristine great lake and we offer great beaches within 20 minute drive... Our settings are perfect for small or large gatherings and are private and secluded. Unfortunately we do not offer water, septic or hydro so your trailer needs to be self sustaining. TRAILERS and MOTORHOMES are the preferred method of camping. It is being used for Boondocking, weddings, mediation and yoga retreats and we look forward to hosting you also soon. We are pet friendly...so bring your four legged family members too!

Lovely little cabin. Well-insulated, and has a wood stove. Doesn't take much fire to warm the place up. The main cabin has three single-bed cots plus a single bed mattress in the loft, but know there is very little headroom up there. Probably more suitable for a child. There's a table and four chairs. The plane has room for an adult or a couple of kids to set up sleeping bags. Very quiet. Didn't hear a thing aside from the wind in the trees. Just what I wanted for a Hallowe'en camping weekend. The outhouse is clean and as nice as an outhouse can be. Watch out for the dogs on the way in. They're friendly cuties, but don't seem car-smart, so drive extra slowly.

Firstly, Rick was the best host. Informative, responsive but left us to our own devices. My partner and I were looking for somewhere functional and secluded and this property hit all the marks. We stayed there with our 3 large dogs and were able to explore trails onsite that were easily accessible and intuitive. There's also a great clearing in the marsh where we were able to catch some shooting stars! The first night we stayed in the smaller cabin, which was a dreamy little slice of rustic bliss. Second night we stayed at the unique plane crash site - overall has more space and access to the plane worked as a perfect refuge to shelter from the elements, while conveniently placed steps away from the warmth of our campfire. Clearly both sites are treated with care, clean and filled No doubt, will be back.

Loved our time at Joan's place. First time using hipcamp so had no idea what to expect, and it was awesome. I plan on returning many times, it is PERFECT, for cyclists who want to use it as a base camp or are through riding. Had a great time, 10/10 will return!

We (my dog Onyx & I) had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful A-frame cabin! It’s the perfect mix of cozy and peaceful, surrounded by nature and all the little details that make it feel special. The host’s kindness and hospitality truly stood out — they even gifted us some fresh raw honey and venison steak, which was such a thoughtful surprise. We also loved how dog-friendly the cabin was! Our Great Dane joined me for the trip and was welcomed with open arms (and plenty of space to stretch out). It’s not easy finding places that accommodate giant breeds so comfortably, and this one was perfect. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with warm hosts, beautiful scenery, and a truly personal touch. We can’t wait to come back!

A river runs through this 120 acre wooded property with abundant wildlife featuring two very large spring fed ponds. Plenty of fishing, swimming, hiking and biking trails. Amazing property to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Awesome sunrises and sunsets. Listen to the frogs and the crickets while watching the fireflies dance around. We provide bedding, towels, soap, shampoo, pots, pans, kettle, cutlery, tabletop barbecue, a cooking grill, utensils, mugs, cups, drinking water and more. There is an outdoor shower available at each site. We provide enough wood for the first campfire. After that, it's $7 a bundle. All you need to bring is your food, drinks, cooler and maybe a flashlight. The camp fire will be ready and waiting for you to enjoy under a sky full of stars. Included in your stay is access to the barn games room which features air hockey, darts, music and more. There is a horse shoe pit set up just outside the barn. Our property is conveniently located to easily access all the amazing activities and sights this area has to offer. Allan Park Conservation Area, Hanover Drive-in, MacLean's Ales Brewery, OLG Slots and Hanover Raceway, Inglis Falls and Walters Falls just to mention a few.

A piece of heaven is what awaits you here. If you're looking for privacy your search is over. Imagine having your own island you reach by walking across the 15 metre bridge with a few areas to set up your tent(s) from where you'll fall asleep listening to the sound of the spring flowing into the pond, what bliss. The other site has a large rectangular pond of its own to ensure everyone has privacy. Your drinking water comes from Mother Nature, not a well, true spring water that's icy cold and so refreshing.. There are two spring fed ponds which makes them revitalizing on a hot day when you go for a swim. We are located 10 minutes away from the town of Hanover and the Allan Park Conservation is right beside us and has numerous walking and off road bicycling trails. The Saugeen River is 5 minutes away which you can kayak or tube down, too much fun that is. Our property offers beautiful scenery, virtual privacy, you see glimpses of our home, peace and tranquility with the backdrop of Mother Nature to be heard, geese, wild turkeys, deer, lots of songbirds, coyotes and oh yes, our big friendly lovable er be spectaular and later the stars twinkle above and maybe you'll even see a satellite high above while you're stargazing. Each site has a table (you'll need to bring lawn chairs), firepit with a cooking grill, and a supply of wood you'll have to purchase from us upon arrival, as we are a forestry managed property. An outhouse is a pleasant walk within minutes of the site. Water for dishes and general washing can just be taken from the pond (DO NOT DRINK) Not that it would kill you, lol. Ray will keep you supplied with fresh spring water for drinking. New to this site is a solar powered string of 300 lights, two single person floats, and a hammock for your added enjoyment. There are numerous things to do within a 15 minute drive. A couple dams, 2 conservation parks, drive-in theatre, casino, horse racing, small stock car racing track (great for young kids), two local breweries, a busy local butcher and the Saugeen River. With more destinations as you move outward. We promise you won't be disappointed and can't wait to share our piece of Heaven with you. TAKE NOTE You will be charged $500 per bag/item of refuse you leave behind. WE DO NOT HAVE GARBAGE PICKUP, besides which you are supposed to leave the site as you found it. CANCELATIONS: IF you cancel within two weeks of your arrival date, your money will NOT be refunded nor will you be able to change the date. Peaceful tent camping with access to Mountain Lake. Perfect for nature lovers, quiet, experienced self-sufficient campers. Check in after 2 pm till before dark. Check out is Noon. Pack it in pack it out policy. The campsites are located down a hill and are close to the lake. Each site has a fire pit, picnic table and ample room for tents and parking for one vehicle. There is one outhouse on the property near the lake access that is to be shared with all campers. There are walking trails to respectfully explore and enjoy local flora and fauna. On clear nights the starry vistas will unfold in the Dark Sky Preserve here on the Bruce Peninsula. The lakefront has a picnic table to enjoy a meal at (no fire pit). You can push off from the shoreline with your kayaks or canoes (bring your own) to explore “The Fens” of Mountain Lake. The lake is NOT suitable for swimming, it has a marl bottom that you will sink into. There is no potable water, please bring your own for drinking and cooking. There are some nice beaches suitable for swimming within a 15-20 minute drive. Sauble Beach is best for a swim and to watch the sunset from. We are located 10 minutes from Wiarton, 20 minutes from Sauble Beach and 1 hour from Tobermory.
