Dan had been amazing, provided us with warm water, firewood and even had a chance to hangout around the campfire and learn about the site. he also gave some great recommendations of things to check out. Instructions clear on getting into the site. We rented and it was not as rocky as it looked in the photos. If you had a trailer it would be especially good as a place to park for the night, as there is a ton of room.

1 night at Muskoka Wellness Retreat

Everything about this place was perfect for us! It was easy to find, private and clean. Our site was right on the water with a fire pit and a picnic table. The outhouse was impeccably cleaned and close to our site. We had access to kayaks and a canoe however, we didn't end up having time to use them. Hayley was extremely responsive and friendly. We definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area!

Spacious and peaceful campsite! The leaves were just starting to turn red when we visited, which made it extra pretty. Plenty of drinking water, picnic table, and chairs. Dan is an amazing host — super kind and even helped us get our drone back from a pine tree. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful place to stay. Very safe and peaceful. Clean facilities; rustic but tastefully decorated. Would love to come back and stay longer. Jane is a delightful and responsive host. Word to the wise, though, use the physical address for GPS, not the Hipcamp app.

Lisa's property was amazing! Lots of room, beautiful view of everything. Saw deer every day! Loved the outhouse, we are used to privies at Algonquin but the outhouse was way better - especially with the rain we had. She was great with communication and even checked to make sure we were ok after a big gusty windy rainy period of time. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much Lisa.

2 nights at Coutts Farm

This was one of our favourite Hipcamps. The lake was busier than we are used to but it was a long weekend so totally expected. We appreciated the private feel of the campsite being nestled in our little corner and we customized the site with tarp shelters and a hammock to lay about in the afternoons. The night sky was gorgeous with the moon and the sound of waves to keep us company. One should keep in mind that there are elevation changes at the site that could prove challenging for some. I was able to portage our canoe down to the water and back up to our vehicle but the pitch through the trees and down to the beach could prove tricky. Overall, we liked the secluded, civilized-rustic feel of the space: not Crown Land but sounds of the forest gave it a wild feel.

Weekend Trip to Off -Grid Forest Retreat

There was more perks then listed in the ad we were grateful for the levelled deck platform for the tent and the provided barbecue , although we didn’t need it ! Was a nice extra ! Lake was within walking distance via the dirt road ! And another just a short distance in a vehicle ! Plenty of firewood !

Such a wonderful place! Den was so kind. he even let us use his kayak and checked on us every day to make sure we were doing well. The area is peaceful and beautiful, and the night sky full of stars took our breath away. We felt so welcome and relaxed here. Truly one of the best camping experiences we’ve ever had. we will definitely come back again!😍

Cindy’s land was private quaint and so beautiful!! It was nestled in the wilderness away from noise and light pollution, and the sky lit up at night time with millions of beautiful stars!! The host was awesome helping us set up even and letting us know about all the local festivities!! Everything we needed was just a quick drive away for fun or resources like our furnace breaking lol We can’t wait to go back again!!
