Our family loved it. The quarry pond was way colder than expected but looks so clean and worth the freeze. Goats and chickens do roam but have their preferred spot, so you know where to find them. Not very private, you can see and hear all your neighbours, but the couple that run the place are nice!

Thank you Marie and Alison for making our all too short stay just wonderful! We enjoyed our time at your farm so much! This is our first experience with Hipcamp so weren't really sure what to expect. We were just looking for a place to stay during a geocaching event but our Hipcamp hosts went above and beyond to make it so much more! Not only have we found ourselves a new "home base" when we're in the area, but we feel like we've found new friends. The RV site is great! Closest site to the road but there is very little traffic. All in all much quieter than a Provincial Park campsite. The other sites are scattered around the perimeter of the property so they're far enough away that you can't really hear anything from them. This site was great because you have a really good view of the open area (great for stargazing) and the vegetable garden (take a tour of that with Marie or Alison). They have a beautiful lighted Gazebo and fire pit in the middle if you'd like to gather with other campers for games or a bit of social time. They've done a massive amount of work to make their camp comfortable and cozy and seem to always have an eye to what they can improve (although I thought it was pretty much perfect). Thanks again Alison & Marie! We just got home last night and enjoyed ourselves so much we're already planning our next trip back!

We had a terrific time camping by the lakeside. Cory and Heather upgraded us to the lakefront site and it couldn't have been more perfect for us. We went kayaking, swimming and hiking. Forest is full of dry wood for fires and offers privacy like no other place we've been. Loved it, 10/10 we will be back!

We had a great time camping on Valerie’s land. Valerie was extremely easy going and hospitable. We had an excellent campfire with an amazing sunset over the hill, great views! Very quiet, there was one other person staying a few sites over, not completely private but we parked in a way to make it more private, it was really a great little spot. Very close to a giant tiger and Ferris provincial park. Tons of fireflies! I wish I could leave photos to show how gorgeous it was! :) Would definitely recommend.

My 17 year old daughter and her boyfriend spent the day at Sandbanks and then went to Sweet Escape for a night of camping. They really appreciated Marie and Alison, they were greeted with a lot of kindness and care! The hosts even helped them to put a tarp over their tent since they forgot to bring one (and rain was in the forecast). They even shared some veggies from their farm, what a nice attention. Very nice site, my daughter also appreciated the goats! Marie greeted them in French and Alison was really quick in responding to any questions I had through the site chat; a big thank you for taking care of them! And yes, this is a destination I am adding to my bucket list. Take care!

Ian and family are extremely welcoming and super friendly. Our family had an amazing time on the land for a weekend getaway. Only 5 minutes from home but felt like a million miles. The area feels secluded and the quarry offers endless hours of entertainment. Some fish to entertain in the early hours, the goats and chickens where super friendly also and added to the experience. This was my 1st CAMP experience and extremely memorable. Not only did I enjoy "camping", but the hosts also (Alison & Marie) were welcoming as well as their farm companions onto their land! Their location is close to all areas on our itinerary, rich in local history and more. The surrounding land of our stay was well kept and beautiful. The charming architecture on site provides an inspiring vision of a project in the works. An aspect close to my heart was their budding mission on all aspects of the environment. From recycling, reuse, restore to preserving, encouraging and expanding with awareness to our personal individual impact with nature and its environment. Thank you for sharing the warm hospitality.
