For shopping locally we have The Rose Bay General Store and Bistro with NSLC Outlet. You’ll find convenience items, seasonal produce, fresh baked goods, take out and dine in eating, a great selection of imported Specialty items, and authentic Nova Scotian products. A great spot to stop on the way back from the beach for a bite to eat and supplies. We also have the Bayport Pub at the beginning of Feltzen South Road. With Great pub classics and fresh hot fish and chips, you’ll want to let them handle the cooking for a night, but make sure to leave room for the best Ice Cream around. Come enjoy our boondocking site located in Chester Basin on Nova Scotia’s South Shore. Close to Chester, Mahone Bay and Lunenberg. Just a short drive off of the 103 brings you to our secluded 2 acre wooded property suitable for trailers or RV’s up to 30 feet. We provide a level trailer pad with 8x16 deck and picnic table. Your site is exclusive and overlooks a small lake with access for canoes or kayaks. The lake has trout and bass in it and abundant wildlife including a couple of beavers. You are not far from the Rail Trail which is great for cycling or hiking. Some great restaurants are close by such as the Seaside Shanty. Book a visit to the Sensea Nordic Spa in Chester while you are here or just enjoy the serenity of your own little paradise. There is a fire pit but please bring your own wood or purchase nearby. No water or toilet facilities provided. Pump out and fresh water can be provided by a business close by if needed.

Ethos Eco Retreat is a Geodesic Dome within the forests of Nova Scotia’s South Shore, with ocean views and the intention to create a relationship between us and nature. It is a place to leave the ‘busy’ behind. To slow, re-ground, and connect - heart, body and spirit. Ethos is a place ruled by the moon and the seasons - and time does not exist here, as we know it in our normal day to day. You set the pace here. With the intention of having all your senses awakened while falling in synch with the pulse of the nature around you, minimalist luxury is the caveat. You will have the best of everything you need, and nothing of what you do not.
We designed the dome to be a container that offers an opportunity to experience all four elements - earth, wind, fire and water - within the sacred geometry of the dome’s structure. Loading the wood burning fireplace while the vintage claw foot tub fills with hot water may become your ritual, while the wind moving through the trees, and the waves reaching the shore, your meditation. The ocean is only a short walk down a winding forest path, and is often best enjoyed with a hot cappuccino or loose leaf tea.
Every item, from the organic Egyptian cotton and Flax linen bedding on the king size bed, to the organic wild harvested body/bath products and local fresh roasted coffee, has been intentionally chosen for their love of people and planet. Transparency is everything.

Welcome to Charming Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia!
We are offering a dry camp experience with the opportunity to rent a room and bath in our home . The room is on the second floor of our cottage - has a private entrance . The room is a unique attic styled room with a double sized bed and a small bathroom with a shower , sink and toilet .
The room has a private entrance and beautiful deck with an ocean view!
Room is $100 a night
We also have a bunk house available with a single bed and IKEA kitchen - there isnt a bathroom but you will access the bathroom in the upstairs room .
Bunkhouse -$50 a night
Once you arrive , feel free to take a 5 minute walk down to the shore with spectacular views of Mahone Bay and ocean front homes. You can walk to the trailhead for hiking, biking and off-road adventures. We are located 10 minutes to Mahone Bay Village, 15 minutes to Chester and 20 minutes to Lunenburg and Bridgewater.We offer a quiet rural setting where you will not be crowded by other vacationers.
