Weekend Trip to Birkwood Camp
Had a great stay at Birkwood. The camp is as described in the listing. There’s a short hike to the tent from the parking spot. We’ll be back!

Absolutely beautiful! What view! It's an off grid camping spot in the most beautiful area. There is an outhouse that was clean. Dan was quick to respond to any questions I had and check in to make sure I was okay or needed anything. That view though is everything. I would wake up looking out at that view everyday if I could. Also had 5g out there which was nice to still be connected. I will definitely be staying here again.

This property is 100% worth going out of your way for! We spent two nights, and unfortunately there was a fire ban and cloudy sky’s that obstructed star gazing, but even then waking up to the view from campsite 1 is spectacular. I didn’t see campsite 3, but 1 and 2 are both amazing- was able to get level with blocks in 24 ft. rig.
The place is well marked on the road and it looks like the driveway has been recently graded- easy in our vehicle. Dan was very responsive.
Would absolutely return, and if it were campfire weather- I’d spend multiple days relaxing there for sure!
There is a road down to the water and rocky beach where you can watch the amazing tides roll out.
If you’re on an open journey- worth spending some time in this spot and area.

Well drained site in the woods, I came with a 17 foot RV and had no issues. Little sand area on the water gets some good sunshine. Private spot…your dry camping…
Host is excellent, helpful and a very nice human…
Nice area here, bridgewater is great for supplies, beaches everywhere, very clean environment
Close enough (25m) to crescent beach for kitesurfing…pray for wind

We truly enjoyed our stay at Breezy Petals. The dome was lovely - spacious, comfortable (especially during the much-needed rainstorm), and had everything we needed. Yun is an incredible host - we loved every minute.

This was my first attempt at camping out with my own tent while roadtripping to Nova Scotia. It was a good experience!
Shower and toilet was available, and it was a regular flush, surprisingly. Unfortunetaly for my 3-person tent, the nails cannot go through the wooden platform, so I installed it on the side.
If you're Glamping or using the already available tents on-site, it might be a better experience due to bugs, since this has 2 ponds around. Overall, for a first time, I was satisfied!
I just hope that the "Bois Road" that takes you to there ends up soon being paved, because that is one dusty unpaved road. At least the site is distant from it, so it's no problem!

Dan was a kind and thoughtful host who helped to adjust plans due to restrictions in place for wildfire prevention. We landed on site 1 and holy moly. The views were incredible. We happened to have very clear weather but the dark starry sky and full bay view with coffee were big memories. The fire pit, table and bench and outhouse were such nice luxuries.

2 nights at Natura Wilderness Resort
Our stay at the Natura Wilderness was amazing. Private, cute, and very well-maintained. The propane stove, shower, and toilet all worked great! The location is close to a provincial park and gas station / coffee spot. Not far from Windsor. It was the perfect place for us.
We would definitely recommend!

This property is beyond amazing. Dan is very helpful and kind and makes the stay easy and offers great local knowledge and activity ideas. If you like camping it does not really get any better than this, plus, there's an outhouse!!

We had a very nice 2 day stay at this campground. We have 2 dogs and it is great to have the single camp site so as not to have to worry about neighboring campers with dogs as well.
The campground itself is very easy to get to in any kind of car, nice and clear/flat space to set up a tent but with a lot mature deciduous trees interspersed providing very significant shade cover during the day (nice and cool wven when really hot)
If you're looking for a bit of a walk you can get into rails to trails
The one adjustment that we had to make was regarding the proximity of the site to the road. While it is definitely far enough back from the road to feel private in terms of visibility, it is close enough that you hear the cars driving by, and it is a medium-busy road. So it is just good to be aware of that variable, and personal preference whether this would bother you or not. I was quite aware of it on arrival the first afternoon/evening but by the second day/night I had adjusted.
And with really only this one consideration, it seems very fair for the price!

Campsite 3 was great. Large campsite with a view of the bay through the trees. Although there was a fire ban there was nice fire pit on site with provided firewood. Privacy was fantastic and was good to allow our dog to relax.

We loved camping here 😁 the directions were easy to follow, we had no issues getting there. My husband and I love a campsite with more then enough privacy and this most certainly had that. The site had an amazing " outhouse ". Clean, everything you need provided. Amazing. LOTS of firewood provided. Unfortunately with the fireban we only had 1 fire but with how beautiful and secluded this spot is, its just as enjoyable. We originally only booked to stay for 2 nights, on our 2nd day while at the site I booked it for another. So we stayed 3 nights/4days.
Cell service isn't something I care about while camping but if you do, it has really good cell service. Daytime you could hear the birds & at night you could hear the owls in the distance, even some coyotes. But thats expected when your 2km in the woods. The nature is amazing as well as the view. This is now going to be one of our go to spots. I highly recommend this place 🏕️

45 ft fifth wheel

What an amazing view! Dan was an excellent host - very responsive and helpful. He even drove my husband up to the site before hand so he could make sure it was doable for our rig. We are a 34' long fifth wheel and with the truck we are 50 +/- feet. Dan even escorted us 3 or so miles west on the main road (NS 209) so we could turn around and approach the driveway coming from the southwest because it was tight for us to turn in from the northeast. The gravel/reclaimed asphalt driveway is well maintained, but there is one pretty steep section. We made it up with no problem with our Ford F350 in AWD. Dan even mowed the site (Campsite #1) wider than normal knowing we needed some room to turn around and we had no issues with that either. The site was very well maintained, large, very private and there is a bonus outhouse, fire pit and the wood pile was well stocked. We chose not to have a fire because it was pretty windy and it had been dry there. You can walk the farm/logging roads for miles including one that goes down to the waterfront. It was fairly low tide when we did it so we could walk a long ways. We highly recommend this site!
