This 3.5 acres of woodlot, situated in "Cottage Country" Nova Scotia is home to my canvas wall tent and a couple of sites for pitching tents. The tent is cozy and has a woodstove for 4 season enjoyment, mattresses for single or double bed configuration. This is part of "Cottage Country" and there are plenty of trails to hike or ski. There is lake access, but it isn't a great lake for swimming.The Camp is a 10x15 canvas wall tent with cozy woodstove, stocked larder, propane stove, camp kitchen, and bed frames which can be configured for single or double.

What to expect

You'll have this Hipcamp all to yourself.

Campfires allowed

Firewood provided, firepit, wood burning fireplace. Some firewood is available for the woodstove. Please gather your own wood for use in fire pit.

Toilet available

Composting toilet. Bucket composting toilet is set up like an outhouse.

Potable water available

Bottled water or jugs. There is potable water in 2, gallon milk jugs on the shelves. It is treated rain water

Showers available

Cold water only. There is a solar shower bag hanging in the outhouse. It may be filled with water and hung to warm on sunny days. Can't be used in winter.

Private, stovetop or hot plate, cookware, cooking utensils, dishware, cutlery, basic seasoning and oils, sink or other dishwashing station

A Bell cell phone will get no signal here, but phones that use the Eastlink network will get signals here

Birkwood Camp

Had a great stay at Birkwood. The camp is as described in the listing. There’s a short hike to the tent from the parking spot. We’ll be back!
