Stay at our completely private cabin (sleeps 3 comfortably, sleeping mats/air mattresses NOT provided) isolated within the centre of a gorgeous 25-acre forest with a private groomed c. 1.5 km walking/biking trail. The cabin is a 5-minute walk from the Trans Canada RailTrail which grants easy access for longer bike rides, runs, hikes, and four-wheeler adventures. You’ll walk through a horse pasture and a cow pasture on your way to the cabin. There is a large farm pond (10ft deep) on the property for swimming. Enjoy access to locally-sourced food, firewood (at a small fee), drinking water, a private firepit, small wood stove and our old-fashioned wood-fired cook stove. There is no electricity or running water (but we provide ample drinking water) and there can be access to a charger box so you may charge your devices or have a light at night. Bring your pets and enjoy a private retreat. The max capacity of the cabin is three people. An outhouse with double-duty bag and second luggable loo are available for all guests. The site is spacious and comfortable.
**You must climb up the trail. It’s a 2-3 minute hike up which you will need to carry your personal camping gear up.
You will find in the common area a fire pit and our clear top shelter equipped with a table and some stools. A food prep area where you will find a few kitchen items. There are three Adirondack chairs by the fire pit and two black folding chairs under the shelter. We also have a few games on site such as washer toss, ladder toss...
Our outhouse is like no other. The sun letting skylight roof top provides a bright and airy comfortable space. It’s equipped with a mirror for your convenience.
A pet friendly site supplied with a little dog patio and doggy zip line. This allows small dogs to roam around in security or let your large dog roam free.

We are OPEN despite the current issues. No fires are allowed due to provincial bans. Enjoy the quiet skyline and maybe even catch a glimpse of the local wildlife. Our grass lots are backed with lush Appalachian forest and leads way to a slow brook where you can wade with the tide or try your hand at fishing or simply sit by the fire and enjoy the solitude. Check in is self guided as there is no host on site but you'll find it simple as all sites, as well as the toilet area is well marked with signage. Wood is available for purchase if you didn’t bring your own! We are currently fencing in the entire property to make it a dog/cat and livestock safe area so pets can enjoy a safer experience . Mainland Nova Scotia is less than a 30 minute drive and if your adventurous and want to drive the Cabot Trail then you can reach Cape Breton Island in under 2 hours! Catch a Ferry to Newfoundland if your heart desires.

The property is a heritage sawmill site developed in the mid 1800's in response to the booming New Brunswick logging industry. The barn that housed the workhorses that worked the mill offers a beautiful backdrop at the entrance of the property.
Our camp site offers total privacy from the outside world. The site is perched along the river bank, allowing instant access to incredible trout fishing, swimming, canoeing, tubing, and ATVing. PLEASE NOTE: the access to this property is via an unmaintained service road. Your vehicle may need to be equipped to drive through underbrush, snow, and/or other elements.
Our farm has a separate access (private service road) to lead you down to a couple separate sites. There, you can park and put up a tent or trailer in different parts of the property.
There is a small Apple orchard as the first site, then another clearing a bit further, which is more of a wooded site. There is dense forest, and a small river if you continue down the service road.
This site is Especially ideal for ATV/Off-road - as you can take your ATV to the river for fishing or swimming.
Please use caution and respect neighbours.
None of the sites are near the main house or buildings.

We arrived with our trailer which is self contained late in the season and Manuel's place welcomed us with friendly hospitality . We stayed one night and the weather was rainy so we did not have a chance to hike the property but the welcome was warm and friendly.

Absolutely beautiful! What view! It's an off grid camping spot in the most beautiful area. There is an outhouse that was clean. Dan was quick to respond to any questions I had and check in to make sure I was okay or needed anything. That view though is everything. I would wake up looking out at that view everyday if I could. Also had 5g out there which was nice to still be connected. I will definitely be staying here again.

This property is 100% worth going out of your way for! We spent two nights, and unfortunately there was a fire ban and cloudy sky’s that obstructed star gazing, but even then waking up to the view from campsite 1 is spectacular. I didn’t see campsite 3, but 1 and 2 are both amazing- was able to get level with blocks in 24 ft. rig.
The place is well marked on the road and it looks like the driveway has been recently graded- easy in our vehicle. Dan was very responsive.
Would absolutely return, and if it were campfire weather- I’d spend multiple days relaxing there for sure!
There is a road down to the water and rocky beach where you can watch the amazing tides roll out.
If you’re on an open journey- worth spending some time in this spot and area.

This is one of the most beautiful pieces of properties I’ve ever seen! The river water was so clear you can see all the way to the bottom,.
Surrounded by a gorgeous wooded area - the views were spectacular!
The army tent was so cosy and comfortable with a great skylight view of the stars. Nestled in history - it feels like you’re stepping back in time. All you need is a sleeping bag.
We truly appreciated the hosts, Brad and Erica. Their knowledge of the history of the area was extremely interesting. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Thank you to both of you!
I wish I could give them more stars than just the five stars allowed as it truly was an experience of a lifetime.

We had a short but wonderful stay. Charlene was warm, welcoming and accomodating. We are very grateful for her generosity! There is a lot of différents kind of chicken, ducks, geeses, a very friendly rooster, a chatty turkey, and also goats, sheep, a pig, bunnies, the smaller ones free range, it is so convivial! The campers were nices, pretty, clean, comfy. We didn't have a chance to explore much the land but the little we saw was beautiful, with many apple trees. We recommand 100%!

Charlene has always been incredible to us. This is the 3rd year we have been and she immediately upgraded us to Minnie when someone canceled, which was such a relief. We enjoy staying and it's a comfortable place to rest our heads after long days of YQM Country Fest! We love staying there and will be back next year and will recommend everyone to stay here. It's not too far out of town but just enough which is amazing for traffic and peace and quiet.
