Situated in Caithness, New Brunswick, where the Magaguadavic River meets the Passamaquoddy Bay on the Bay of Fundy.
Once owned by high profile Saint Andrews-By-The-Sea resident, Robert Pagan, the property, like other properties in the area, was granted to American Loyalist Soldiers of Scottish Highlanders, and named for Caithness, Scotland, the place where Golf began.
When the US Revolutionary War ended, the King of Holland was chosen to define the boundary between the United States and Canada. He chose the “St Croix River”. The problem was, nobody knew where the St Croix River was. That name had been used by the French, but had not been used in a very long time.
Canadians believed the Schoduc River was the St Croix. American’s believe the Wolastoq River (now called the St John River) was the St Croix River.
The local North American Indigenous people (the MicMacs or Mi'kmaqs) told Robert Pagan of a place called “Bone Island” where their history told of Europeans living and dying there. Pagan did an archaeological dig on “Bone Island” and found the remains of the French colonists and their settlement. This proved “Bone Island”, also known as “Dochet Island” or “Saint Croix Island", was the site of Pierre Dugua, Sieur de Monts' ill-fated 1604 settlement.
Based on this, the Boundary Commission agreed that the Schoduc River was the Saint Croix River and therefore, the international boundary between Canada and America.
The survivors of the 1604/1605 fall/winter moved from St Croix Island to Port-Royal in Nova Scotia (two years before the European arrival in Jamestown, Virginia, the earliest continuously occupied European settlement in the USA).
Without the work of Robert Pagan, this campsite and half of New Brunswick, including the Capital City of Fredericton and half of the City of Saint John would have been part of Province of Massachusetts Bay (later Maine).
In the 1800's this property was part of a 1000 acre lot of land owned by two McKenzie brothers, Sea Captains. Since the late 1960s, the property was the summer home of Ben and Marg Leland, parents to 14 children and 50 grandchildren.
Today, there are four (4) separate fields available for campers - Barnes' Point, Charlies Garden, the Villa Point and the Main Beach.
The property has 2 miles of shoreline and several beaches to enjoy. The property even has a private island, Blueberry Island.

Natural long grass fields for camping, some mowed mid-season. There are several shale beaches on the tidal salt water. There is also access to the Fresh Water of the Magaguadavic River.
Kayakers looking for more of a challenge may choose to paddle the Salt Waters of the Passamaquoddy Bay past Midjik Bluff. Those looking for calmer and warmer waters, may want to choose to go from the campsite, up the Magaguadavic River to the beautiful Saint George Basin and the Saint George Gorge, passing the Three Sisters and the newest Bald Eagles Nest (at the most eastern end of the Campsite).
Pass by Silver Island arriving at the Saint George Basin. Disembark at the Basin Boat Ramp and take a short walk up Portage Street to Main Street. Enjoy an ice cream at Pete’s Dairy Bar. Also a short walk to the Saint George Mall, the Historic Granite Post Officer, the Saint George Dam, Fish Ladder, the Old Pulp Mill, the Country Market, and more.
A quiet spot, away from noise and light pollution, where the fresh water meets the salt water.

Town is a five minute drive and you will find a grocery store, ice cream stand, bank, gas station(with nb liquour) and even an awesome thrift shop just one town over in Renous. Venture around the village and you will find horseback riding, river tubing, bridge jumping into the Dungarvon River, and boating on the Miramichi with world class salmon fishing. The city of Miramichi is about a 30 minute drive and has lots of museums and fun things to do.

Free Showers and potable water are available at Murray provincial park during open season.

We are Located just off the Acadian Coastal Drive, west of Murray Corner and minutes from the beautiful Fundy shore. We recommend taking shore drive for your travels here as Murray Rd is VERY uneven. You can bring your tent, RV, van or camper and choose from 8 amazing sites.
Looking to see multiple provinces?? We are in the perfect spot to see all of what the East coast has to offer. View PEI’s spectacular Confederation Bridge from the shoreline and take a drive to PEI which is only minutes from us. Mainland Nova Scotia is less than a 30 minute drive and if you’re adventurous and want to drive the Cabot Trail then you can reach Cape Breton Island in under 2 hours! Catch a Ferry to Newfoundland if your heart desires.

Wake up listening to the birds in this birdwatchers paradise. There is plenty wildlife with deer everywhere, turtles in the pond and all the common critters, and we have not found any ticks. Hiking our maintained trails are a pleasure. Whenever we say we live in Jemseg the response is always, "It's beautiful there."

The site is spacious and comfortable.
**You must climb up the trail. It’s a 2-3 minute hike up which you will need to carry your personal camping gear up.
You will find in the common area a fire pit and our clear top shelter equipped with a table and some stools. A food prep area where you will find a few kitchen items. There are three Adirondack chairs by the fire pit and two black folding chairs under the shelter. We also have a few games on site such as washer toss, ladder toss...
Our outhouse is like no other. The sun letting skylight roof top provides a bright and airy comfortable space. It’s equipped with a mirror for your convenience.
A pet friendly site supplied with a little dog patio and doggy zip line. This allows small dogs to roam around in security or let your large dog roam free.
Cedar Camp Ridge campsite is well situated for easy access for outdoor activities to the region’s offerings such as: Sussex Bluff Hiking path, Fundy Parkway, Poley Mountain: mountain biking and skiing, Fundy Provicial Park, St Martin’s sea caves, Cap Enragé, Waterford waterfalls, there is also close access to NB ATV Trails.

Le camping Cedar Camp Ridge est bien situé pour un accès facile aux activités de plein air de la région telles que : sentier de randonnée de Sussex Bluff, Fundy Parkway, Poley Mountain : vélo de montagne et ski, parc provincial Fundy, grottes marines de St Martin, Cap Enragé, cascades Waterford, il y a également un accès proche aux sentiers de VTT du Nouveau-Brunswick.

Trip 'n Daisy and their little shih tzu McGee live in rural New Brunswick, nestled on 50 acres of mostly forested land. We treasure where we live, the long winding country roads, the pristine lakes and rivers nearby.
We live in nature and respect it. Wildlife is abundant and being on a game trail we regularly see wild turkeys, porcupines, raccoons, skunk, fox, coyote, deer, moose, bear and whatever else mosey's on by! Bring a camera, you never know who might come to visit!
Along the Chiputneticook lakes and river crossings, there are multiple lakes near by and a creeks and rivers that used to be used as the main method of transportation of food and goods along the way - from the Saint John River to the St. Croix River, there is much history and many untouched areas that remain mostly in their natural state.
We are located 2 minutes (drive) near East Grand Lake, we are on Forest City Road, Fosterville, which is located between 2 border crossings - Fosterville, NB/Orient, ME and Forest City, NB/Forest City, ME. So whether you are heading to or from the USA, or exploring New Brunswick you can find us here!
We are about 1 hour from Woodstock, NB, 1.5 hours from Fredericton, NB, 45 minutes from Houlton, ME or 25 to Danforth, ME. We are about 2.5 hours to Edmunston, NB and the Quebec border crossing, 3 hours to Moncton or Saint John, NB.
You can access many trails to hike, bike, ATV, walk. There are many lakes/rivers to swim, boat, kayak or canoe.
Book a space - you can rent our Aliner Hippie Peace and Love Shack OR our vintage 1973 Golden Falcon which has been tripped out '60's style!
You can bring an RV or trailer - max 30 feet - we find that A Class motor homes are often too big or heavy so don't recommend them. We have 3 spaces for RV's trailers that belong to YOU!
On our property you will be surrounded by ash and pine trees. A large weeping willow. There is an outhouse available, garbage and recycling, if in an RV or trailer we have 3 spots that provide 30amp power and water is available by hose to fill up if needed.
Tents - we have many spaces but your location will be your choice, find a nice spot, that is flat. The outhouse is available. There are no showers on site at this time, however, the lake is lovely! This is a rustic, restful place for quiet, respite, sharing community and being a trippie hippie! We are starting out offering 6 tenting sites - you choose your site upon arrival.
We have an arts/craft gallery on site as well as a darts room for a rainy night! Wifi and cell service are not available here, if you are on US roaming you can get service and some cell providers provide spotty service. There is a public wifi location 5 minutes away if you need to connect. We have a landline for emergencies.
Trip 'n Daisy have traveled throughout Atlantic Canada including Newfoundland in their vintage Hippie Hangout 1973 Golden Falcon - it is now available to rent - you can sleep 2 to 3 people comfortably in the space. It is decked out with a cool '60's vibe - hand painted inside and out with Trip's artful flair and includes a toilet, sinks, fridge, cooktop, water, table/dinette that flips into the second bed. Dishes/pots/basic cooking needs, etc.
They also towed their Aliner pop up trailer - the Hippie Peace; Love Shack. It includes an RV size double bed, suitable for a couple as well as a dinette that folds into a second single bed. There is a fridge, cooktop and table/dinette that flips into a second single bed. There is no toilet but we have added a cassette toilet for you, for night use, and there is water in the space. Again, we recommend you bring your own bedding but we can supply for an additional fee.
We do have access to Electric Vehicle charging - either a wall outlet Level 1 or a Level 2 charger - which is free for 2 hours or for a fee for longer charges.
We have lawn furniture on the grounds to share and to use around the communal fire pit. Fire pit in one location only and based on current fire rules/bans.
There are NO stores or gas stations nearby, so please ensure you fill up with supplies/fuel before venturing down the country road! Full details on site location and instructions for driving will be supplied upon booking.
Due to wildlife in the area we REQUIRE that ALL food is put away at night and during the day when not eating. If you are tenting please bring a secure cooler and place in locked vehicles at night.
We have a dog and he is ALWAYS on leash - if you bring a dog - you MUST ALWAYS pick up after it (our dog does not use our yard as a toilet, so we prefer yours doesn't either); dogs must be on leash and/or in a secure fenced area. This is not only for our dogs safety, but for yours, remember wildlife!
as British Columbian transplants, we love this property and home and hope that you have a great experience as well! When camping we will always have one person available if you need us!
Many people like to call this a home base as they travel across the USA border for day trips or to shop! Feel free to do so! Because Trip 'n Daisy are trippy hippies and enjoy nature, we recommend adults are most suitable for this site.

Come join us at the Gaylin Farms – home to four friendly goats, Newfoundland ponies, Chanticler chickens, two dogs and a cat. Stay at our completely private cabin (sleeps 3 comfortably, sleeping mats/air mattresses NOT provided) isolated within the centre of a gorgeous 25-acre forest with a private groomed c. 1.5 km walking/biking trail. The cabin is a 5-minute walk from the Trans Canada RailTrail which grants easy access for longer bike rides, runs, hikes, and four-wheeler adventures. You’ll walk through a horse pasture and a cow pasture on your way to the cabin. There is a large farm pond (10ft deep) on the property for swimming. Enjoy access to locally-sourced food, firewood (at a small fee), drinking water, a private firepit, small wood stove and our old-fashioned wood-fired cook stove. There is no electricity or running water (but we provide ample drinking water) and there can be access to a charger box so you may charge your devices or have a light at night. Bring your pets and enjoy a private retreat. The max capacity of the cabin is three people. An outhouse with double-duty bag and second luggable loo are available for all guests. Minimum stay: 2 nights.
NEW ADDITION: A new room, a small annex, has been constructed to allow for downstairs sleeping and writing area. It is fully insulated with a wood stove so this area may be used year round. The annex gives one a deeper feeling of being a part of the woods.

If you’re longing to disconnect from the insanity which has become our world, come visit our family-run farmstead. Switch off your devices and sink into nature’s balanced harmony — fresh air, quiet trails, and star-filled skies await.
Conveniently located in rural New Brunswick, our farmstead is about an hour’s drive from three major cities and the stunning Fundy Coast. Here, rolling hills of wildflowers open into forested trails perfect for a peaceful hike or a casual wander.
When the sun goes down, the star gazing is spectacular — with almost zero light pollution, our night skies rival those of the open prairies.
Cool off in the summer at Belyea’s Cove or Crafts Cove, just a 10-minute drive away — both ideal for swimming and boat launching. Albright Brook runs right through the property, offering hidden sit-spots to relax, meditate, or cast a line for trout in season.
Within five minutes you’ll find two waterfalls worth exploring, and just 15 minutes away, the fully stocked country store in Cambridge-Narrows has beer, wine, and spirits for your evening by the campfire. Hungry for more? Country-style restaurants serving hearty roadhouse meals are just 20 minutes from our gate.

Enjoy an extremely unique opportunity to camp on Long Island, NB!
This primitive site is on a 7-mile long island, with two nature preserves, an abundance of flora, and no vehicles, no people, just peace. For the purist.
You will need your own watercraft to access the site or someone to transport and pick you up at the end of your camping trip. A 1 kilometre hike is also necessary to get to the site.
The site is located on Long Island near Saint John, New Brunswick. Long Island in the Kennebecasis River was once a thriving farming settlement. Now it's a mecca for hikers!

J'ai eu le privilège d'y séjourner et ce fut un coup de cœur un coup de coeur pour moi.
L'emplacement où j'étais, sur la péninsule, est tout simplement magnifique, avec une vue imprenable sur la rivière et un accès facile à la mise à l'eau de mon kayak. J'ai passé deux journées à explorer les rives et les îlots qui se dessinent au rythme des marées. Le site est paisible, pittoresque et en pleine nature. Au fil de mes sorties, j'ai eu la chance d'observer un aigle à tête blanche, un phoque, des escarpements et un vieu bateau de pêche, ce qui a rendu chacune de mes sortie en kayak fort intéressante .
Paul est un hôte cinq étoiles : accueillant, attentionné et toujours prêt à partager d'excellentes recommandations pour découvrir la région. Avant mon arrivée, pendant mon séjour et même après mon départ, il m'a suggéré de nombreux arrêts et points d'intérêt adapté a ce que je cherchai, et à mon itinéraire.
J'ai également beaucoup apprécié les petites attentions qui ont rendu mon séjour encore plus agréable. J'ai pu acheter sur place des œufs frais et de la dulse récoltée localement. J'ai aussi eu accès à remplir mon réservoir d'eau ainsi qu'à une prise électrique pour recharger ma station d'alimentation portable quand tout deux on été vide.
Je recommande cet endroit sans hésitation à tous ceux qui recherchent un séjour authentique et paisible, avec un hôte accueillant, discret et profondément dévoué.

The spot is absolutely beautiful! It’s right next to the ocean, and the views are amazing. Communication with the host was quick and easy, making everything smooth from start to finish.
I only wish I had stayed longer. I’d definitely recommend booking at least two nights so you have enough time to relax and enjoy the spot.

Paul has a gorgeous piece of land that his family has been on for centuries now. It is a great rustic campsite. He is so accommodating and friendly and a great host. He will offer you a great amount of information and knows the area very well. He definitely pointed us towards some hidden gems we probably wouldn't have known to look for.
A great quiet place to set up camp and enjoy the wildlife that is also wandering around this impressive property along with the gorgeous views. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay and hope to return. He is also very dog friendly which we appreciate too!

Great for smaller or bigger groups (we had 7 people). The host is friendly and helpful with recommending local restaurants and hiking locations. Overall, a great experience and would recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Old Mill Camp. We brought a tube and spent some time floating on the river. Our dogs loved it and had the best time exploring. The entire spot is very scenic. The path down from the barn was lined with wildflowers, and in the evening we enjoyed watching the fish jump in the river and tons of fireflies dancing around. Highly recommend using the outdoor kitchen. It was a great setup and added to the overall experience. The canvas tent was cozy, dry, and comfortable, exactly what you need. Overall, it is a peaceful little spot to unwind.

We love tenting off grid and this was the perfect location! It’s so peaceful on the river and the site is set up so nicely to reflect the history of the 1800s saw mill that used to stand there.
The water is so clear and very refreshing after a dip! The army tent is really cool and a campstove and propane were provided.
Brad was very accommodating and available to help out in any way.
The dogs loved exploring and being on the river.
We highly recommend this site and we hope to make a return visit!!!!

Cedar Camp Ridge is a magic escape from everything and just what my partner and 3 dogs were looking for.
The steep entrance to the site adds to its seclusion and once you reach the top, you realize it's worth the (short) upward hike.
A little oasis that brings you right into nature.
We saw frogs, fireflies, and a deer.
Yes, there were also mosquitoes and distant coyotes that howl at night.
Prepare and respect all the life that comes with the land.

We really enjoyed camping here, the place is beautiful and quiet and Paul was a great host. We saw the high and low tides, a bald eagle, and heard the lighthouse off in the distance. Paul shared the history of the land, directions, and suggested great activities along the way. Our dogs enjoyed it as well! We already plan to visit again!
