Our campsite is located along the beautiful Spillimacheen River, in Spillimacheen BC which is 20mins south of Golden BC and 30mins north of Radium Hot Springs BC.
This property is very secluded and surrounded by crown land. It’s the perfect property to disconnect and reconnect, with limited cell service this allows you to turn off and just enjoy being outside in nature.
Campers can choose where to park along a large cleared area. There are designated campfire locations and an outhouse. From the property, you can Kayak down the river, please Google and research before launching as there are a lot of writes ups and kayaking websites that feature the Spillimacheen River.
Nature trails for hiking and walking right off the property. There is a well renowned natural rock wall for climbers 3km down the road, there are also a lot of websites that feature these rock walls.
Within a half an hour drive you have two easy hikes in waterfalls (the Lower Bugaboo Falls and the Brisco Falls).
Spillimacheen has a cafe and also a local market store that is full of delicious treats, beer and wine. The wetlands offer endless bird watching and beautiful mountain views.
If you require firewood you must order ahead of your stay. On site purchases are not available. We deliver the bundles the day of your arrival.

Our family owns 40 acres of land in the forest set a ways back from the main road. We have a family home here as well as lots of land to explore and enjoy. There are trails into the neighbouring properties (however some are a bit wild and overgrown).
We're close to many things such as the Skybridge, the Wolf Sanctuary, the beautiful rivers and waterfalls down in the Blaeberry, the lakes around the area and up the ski hill. There is lots of whitewater rafting, mountain biking and paragliding in the summer. In the winter it's an amazing backcountry skiing area or go up the Kicking Horse Mountain resort.
Our site is private and secluded. Further down the road is our house where we are doing lots of building and construction so mind the mess if you do go for a wander.

Our family owns 40 acres of land in the forest set a ways back from the main road. We have a family home here as well as lots of land to explore and enjoy. There are trails into the neighbouring properties (however some are a bit wild and overgrown).
We're close to many things such as the Skybridge, the Wolf Sanctuary, the beautiful rivers and waterfalls down in the Blaeberry, the lakes around the area and up the ski hill. There is lots of whitewater rafting, mountain biking and paragliding in the summer. In the winter it's an amazing backcountry skiing area or go up the Kicking Horse Mountain resort.
Our site is private and secluded. Further down the road is our house where we are doing lots of building and construction so mind the mess if you do go for a wander.

The tent was a good size (for the 2 people it was booked for), the projector was top quality and a really good addition. Ended up watching a film and some tv to fall asleep to, which was great.
The tent and bed were clean, and the utensils were sufficient for our short (3 day) stay.
As someone who doesn't camp often, I was impressed with how inoffensive the smell of a composting toilet was.
Only slight issue is that the water in the hot tub was a bit green, but appreciate that this may be caused by the water supply!
Overall a great stay, and if im back in West Canada, id definitely stay again

Dwayne’s land is awesome. He has a fire pit on each camp site and the areas are level for the tent. There’s the sound of a river, that lulls you to sleep at night. The bathroom is clean and close by. I think it’s probably one of the best hip camps I’ve ever stayed at.

The campground was easy to find with lots of amenities and fun activities to keep busy with. We stayed at site #5 which was clean and private with lots of surrounding trees and a good size for my large SUV and a pickup truck with our kayaks.
We chose to explore the wetlands on our own but I wish there was more information/signage readily available for where to park, doc, and kayak as we didn't get a chance to speak with anyone from the campground while we were there. Using the electronic maps provided on the website and messages with the hosts, we were eventually able to figure it all out and had a lovely kayaking journey.
The worlds largest paddle was beautiful but again, not much signage and could easily be missed driving by which would be sad as it was a cool stop. Next time we stay here we will definitely check out the disc golf course, walking trails, and the slip and slide pond.
All in all this would be a great place to stop whether you have kids or are adults looking for a fun weekend adventure.

We had a fantastic stay camping in Dwayne's land, upon arrival Dwayne showed us around the campsite, explained where to get water and gave us local recommendations. We had some great conversations about the land and checked in on us in case we needed anything, which we appreciated very much. The campsite itself is clean, peaceful and I enjoyed using the propane fire pit provided. Additionally, the outhouse was private and clean.
I do recommend bringing Deet mosquito repellent as the normal non deet repellent did not seem to do much for the relentless mosquitos.
Overall, the campsite was great, I would stay here again.

The campsite was everything you really need in a basecamp. We had some confusion since we accidentally took another camper's spot unknowingly. We came in after hours and the instructions said "head straight to campsite". We had been assigned a different spot -- the note was just on the front door of the main lodge. Nowhere on my instructions did it say to check with the main lodge if it was after hours. We figured it out quick enough though. And the rest of the site was nice.

We loved the campsite. Dwayne was really helpful in explaining all the facilities on site and also gave some really good suggestions on places to visit. The campsite has all the necessary facilities, but the only downside was that the washroom has a motion sensor light that doesn't work in the morning, meaning one has to use washroom in the dark. Other than this it was a great place and would visit again.

This spot is truly a hidden gem! 10/10 will be going back. The waterfalls are absolutely beautiful, not to mention just a short beginner hike away. The stars were incredible at night and the mountains were spectacular. The sites are very well maintained, private and it’s extremely convenient as it’s only a 20 min drive to Golden. Truly a magical camping experience!!! I think everyone should take the opportunity to check this place out!
